To be fair, at 3:30 he does miss a bit due to some juggling he did for show-off. Completely intentional, of course.
@@Bisqwit what the fuck are you doing in here
NEVER MISSES A BEAT..AWESOME
When he timed the beat at the start of the song exactly on time I knew this motha fucka was gonna be something serious
Cat been a problem for awhile
He's probably got a click-track on his in-ear monitor doing an exact countdown to the start of the song. Having said that it's always a pleasure to watch perfection from real people playing real music
dude in the backround had me smiling so much
yes this "motha fuka" is Micheal Jacksons real drummer. So he must be knowing all the beats like its in the back of his hands!
By the time I was writing this reply the likes are 696 im gonna like after this reply
Edit: now its 697 hehe
Song comes on.
Moffett: nails the timing with absolute perfection on the first note he plays.
Metronome: *starts sweating*
🤣🤣🤣
To think how many times he’s must of played this though it’s bound to be perfect
Best comment so far!!!
Bruh he doesn't need metronome,Metronome needs him
vedant sisodia bruh thats my point lol
Michael say once in interview i make some mistakes the bass make some mistakes the guitar make mistakes but sugarfoot is always perfect
tuerkishboyofsoul link please?
He yarram he
well, it is an extremely simple drum part :/
legal canada bass part is pretty simple too :/
@@youtubeuser206 yeah it's also so simple to never make a mistake ever, right?
Ffs. He wasn't talking about this particular song. Sugarfoot in general was flawless. You are a -stupid delusional elitist scumbag and seriously go away who is even arguing this is hard or simple- really cool guy.
An absolute legend and MASTER of his craft.
Even in 2022, it doesn't feel outdated at all.
A masterpiece
Because it's timeless.
i thought it was yesterday
It’s not a master piece but it’s good
Mj and his band..are CNC machine in real life..
The word you are looking for is 'timeless.'
The stick twist around 1:10 and still not missing a beat is beyond phenomenal!
@Ben Franklin please explain how this works to a student drummer w 2 lessons?
@Ben Franklin that’s what I was thinking as well
There's another one at 0:54
And another one at 1:26
@Ben Franklin you're are wrong back then .. They don't have any device
that snare sounds insane
It's so crisp. it's improved sound compared to the other video...
I personally prefer the one in the original song, but as far as live snares go, it's pretty damn close to perfect
rct3isepic I talking about the snare sound from the video on Jonathan moffetts channel from this same lesson.
Yeah it has a lot of snare response. I love it.
It’s most likely a piccolo snare
Damn I LOVE watching this man drum. This is high art. Best pop drumming ever. No drum machine can do this. The precision AND feel at the same time. Remarkable stuff.
I wish all people realized HOW impressive this truly is. This dudes timing is insane.
FACTS!
I mean he is the guy you hear drumming in the OG song I would hope so 😂
I do 😁
Capitalising 'how' was a strange choice.
Patches O'Houlihan Elaborate
Drums and cymbals: "it's an honor to be hit by you, Sir"
Jonathan Moffett is the smooth criminal....
They've been hit by...
*Jonathan Moffett*
😂
Dom Famularo 's cymbal in his Eyes of the tiger video : plz dont hit me so hurt
Man😂😂😂
Judging by the comment section.... This dude is the Chuck Norris of tempo.
You have no idea...to stay PERFECTLY on temp the ENTIRE way in a fast passed song in the manner he did is EXTREMELY impressive
You have no idea...to stay PERFECTLY on temp the ENTIRE way in a fast passed song in the manner he did is EXTREMELY impressive. I expected this type of precision out of a drum machine, not a human
@@BlackHawk2901 no lie. if I was told this was a machine I would believe it and I'm not ignorant to music. I would challenge somebody to find a single beat that sounds off.
Bruce lee could kill chuck Norris easily, so id say the drummer's skills were like bruce lee, fast, skillful and precise. Chuck should go back to selling pilates machines
No disrespect, but that's not how the Chuck Norris meme is used. This guy *_wishes_* he had the talent and precision of Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris *_looks_* at the drums and they play themselves. Drum machines *_dream_* of being as good as Chuck Norris.
Holy shit! I don't know how anyone could possibly have such incredible focus, and intensity. There just aren't enough words to properly describe what's going on here. Much respect to you, sir!
You got to be shitting me this is so insanely tight. I feel a mix of deep awe and regret for not knowing who Jonathan Moffett was until now.
You just spoke for the two of us
3 of us
you hit the nail perfectly on the head, youtube algorithm very very rarely recommends a video that's any good but once in a while it unearths a gem - i'm a MJ fan and to hear him play brings back memories - can you imagine the life he has lived
so tight i became clautsrophobic
Yeah me too
Him casually playing with his drumsticks while being as precise as an atomic clock is so awesome
@unrepeatable raddish Lol, how old are ya kiddo?
Super easy song to play and I'm sure he's played it 100,003 times. Great job for sure, but it's a VERY basic beat.
@@XboxIssues different opinion = kid who cant appreciate your music
@@XboxIssues that might be the best comment on RUclips ever
@@corybryant7678 Thanks lol
its the silence between the notes that gives me goosebumps
Exactly !
Bro, spot on, I was just thinking about how agressive pauses make this song
He moves his shoulders up to pause for fraction of a second on the exact time 👌
🎉🎉🙏🙏👍👍👍👍👍
That's called perfection!💖💖💕💕💐🎉
I wish I knew how to play! The drums is definitely the heartbeat of every song. This was flawless!
