Then they sit five feet from this guy and energy is just pouring out of him.... there's practically sparks coming off him. It's probably pretty overwhelming for most people.
Agreed, I attended the clinic for Michael Henry "Nicko" McBrain of Iron Maiden and its not that we don't appreciate what they are doing, as drummers we are taking it all in trying to figure out how he is doing what he is doing, playing along in our heads try not to air drum and smack the person next to us. Its a rare learning experience that we will probably only see once in our lives and we don't want to waste what they have taken the time out of their extremely busy schedule to allow us this up close and personal experience. I was 100 feet away and was not able to get this close, we had a monitor to watch though. Also what they didn't show was where he broke down specialized beats and began teaching.

He’s freakishly good. Un-fucking-real
А со старым драммером шо случилось?

Drummer's are a dime a dozen
The dude with the fu man chu, mouth agape, just fully engrossed with every nuance of Ray's drumming made me love this video even more.
i’m glad i’m not the only one who saw that
Underrated comment
This guy is amazing drummer he went to my school his mom was my 5grade teacher she gave us his first cd when he played with 9.0 and seen u play rostraver ice gardens with korn. Dude u kill it man perfect performance flawlessly and amazing. great video i enjoyed so much to watch and watching over and over ur parents and yough sd should be so proud of u. keep up the good work ray and if u see my comments on this ask ur mom about the student that got hit by a car in 1989 and she will tell u my name cause she was my favorite teacher that gave me drive and inspiration she aslo helped me not have fear standing in front of class giving reports i was so scared but she gave me confidence and i ended up having the best performing report in her class and she gave me an a +
Wicked reply.
tight, brutal, technical yet musical!
I love when a drummer can make every note sound like it belongs exactly where it is placed.
@@4455336 Yes it should be in place, because drums has its notes.
@@4455336 he is on Q everwhere.
@@4455336 I loved that little ping on the ride in a little gap of mayhem on the drums
There’s nothing better than witnessing pure confidence and raw technique coupled with perfect execution.
Ray is a beast and I honestly can't think of another drummer that can duplicate him ...period!
Not bad for a guy who made a career playing sometime else's tunes, come on Korn fans... wow Ray thats great you can copy
@@dereklong6751 I love how some of you ppl are. What were they suppose to do just quit? If you're a real Korn fan you should count yourself lucky to have someone like Ray. If you dont like that there are plenty other bands to listen to. Just stop bitching all the time. Y'all are starting to sound like a bunch of females having cramps
@@hanginon1293 why is that because David's drumming his latest over ten years ago is still better than Ray's facts is facts Scotty 🥁🥁
@@dereklong6751 Man ppl like what they like and that's fine. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'm just sick of hearing all the bitching and comparing. It's to bad David didn't work out but that's life. Move on
