A lot of butch presentation is just.. comfortable. You know, like a lot of men just dress in a practical, comfortable way and nobody doubts their manhood. Just seeing a woman being comfy and unadorned, not dressing to please the male gaze, gets seen as such a threat. It's just as natural for a woman as for a man.

There's so much aggression towards masculine women. When I used to dress very butch, a man tried to run me over too and no one did anything, not even helped me up. I had men shout abuse at me in the street, and had food served to me cold. I'm someone who alternates between masculine and feminine styles all my life because that's how I am, and I agree a woman can be anything she wants to be and that is normal and natural.

I hate today's social media and the only representation of feminine looking lesbians. Masculines are being erased and sometimes even hated just for their looks. Today being a lesbian can only be successful if you look feminine.

As a stud lesbian who is also Asian, its heartbreaking that I have to explain every single little thing about how i represent.
    Im a woman,simply a woman.My short hair doesn't define what I am or who i am.
I always have been this way and im not in any way shape or form disfigure or messed up.
-I have janitor who told me "hey dude men's toilet on the left you're in the woman's bathroom".
-I had an older guy laugh at me and making fun of me as i go out of the grocery store.
-I had family members who ask my parents "hye since when you had a son ah?"
I don't choose to be like this.Living like this is already hard enough and its truly frighten me the extent of hate people can have towards people like me.I had people wanna kill me,hurt me,cuss me and even want me to go to prison.
I just want the hate to stop.

Trans women aka men are the ones being mysogynistic by "Mansplaining" what they think being a woman is all about and saying that just because they like to wear dresses they should be allowed into women's sports, restrooms, donestice abuse shelters etc. While women get called "birthing people, people who menstruate," etc. And we have to entertain their delusions.

Trans is considered even less than butch by many. This is sadly the truth. Femininity saves you as well as being a trans man. So as a result, one is only on the safe side if you are a feminine woman or a masculine man. Trans won't matter as long as you fit in one of the former categories.

I had men at the other side of the street get offended by my hair and scream "Dyke! Butch! lesbian", I would shout back " I am straight" for some reason their response was always "You're a lesbian hahaha". I was so baffled!

Just wanted to write, women are all women. No matter what we look like on the outside. And looks can be very deceiving. I’m an internal butch but external total femme and my wife is a soft butch but internal EXTREME femme. Like, if we had a flat, I would be changing the tire, with my hair that’s down to my butt, nails, healed boots, a dress and red lipstick. Which I have before. While she sat in the car with her butch haircut, short nails, a fitted suit and black wing tip shoes (looking smoking hot btw 🥰), calling the resturant…it would have been AAA too if she’d been alone 🤣 I’m fire, she’s ice. I’m an aggressor, she’s more submissive. I love horror films, AHS and shows about catching serial killers. She gets scared or freaked out when we watch such things and looks at her phone or burrows her face behind my shoulder. She’s a pushover with the kids, I’m the lay down the law. I read Brett Easton Ellis, Vonnegut, Clive Barker and Nabokov. She reads lesbian poetry, Tolstoy, Anais Nin and non fiction. I’m Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Stooges, Prince, Eminem. She’s Barbara Streisand, Lady Gaga, Adele, Jackson Brown, Elton John. When there’s a noise at night I have to go check it out, carrying my titanium core softball batt I’ve had since the varsity days. Bugs and spiders? Me. Changing light bulbs? ME. Mopping the floor? HER. And when it comes to top and bottom, we’re switch hitters all the way. We’re just weirdos, walking contradictions, books with deceiving covers, which is why we work so well together 😂 We’ve been together 11 years, she’s 11 years older than me but we’re the same age because I’ve always been older than my years (I’ve literally lived on my own since 16 as an emancipated minor, graduated high school at 16, got my first college degree at 18, and owned my first home at 19, and at 42, recently officially retired from a very successful career with a great pension) and without a doubt the love of my life. The age difference freaked her out when we first met. But the more she got to know me, the more she discovered she’s younger than me in a lot of ways actually. I feel ancient. Like I’ve lived several lifetimes. But I’ve always had much more in common with people older than me compared with those in my own age group who, at no fault of their own, seemed extremely immature and naive just because I was so advanced for my age. I’ve only ever been with someone younger one time. A longggg time ago too. And that was only by 3 years 😂 So we are strange us human beings. There is no wrong or right when it comes to being in LGBTQ spectrum. I’ve had relationships before where I was harshly judged because I didn’t fit the “femme” stereotype. And it used to hurt me a lot. And then I figured out it’s not a me problem. We just weren’t the right people for each other. And maybe they were afraid of who I was, because they weren’t comfortable enough in who they were and me being me made them feel insecure and somehow less than. But there was nothing wrong with me. So, If it feels natural and right to you, just be you. Because you are the only one who can. And please believe, there is someone out there who will LOVE the you you are, and fit perfectly with you precisely because you are you. So let your you flag fly, embrace your weirdness, and never be afraid of rocking that out. And if the person you’re with doesn’t appreciate that, they aren’t the right person for you. Societal norms around gender are complete BS. They are manufactured lies perpetrated to keep us in boxes, shamed, handled, and conforming. There is no such thing as looking like a “real woman”. Be you. Your authentic you. Never sacrifice your internal happiness for an external that puts strangers at ease. Wishing you all ♥️, ☮️, and happiness.

It makes me feel upset, because I just everyday feel good in different clothes. You deserve better :c In my opinion you are very good-looking woman

They don't put themselves on the other person's shoes really. Don't take it personal it's their lack of education, they were taught to be homophobic at some point on their life.

And I disagree but lesbians is about masculinity, not just he looks, whole attitude. You do not need to be masculine, thats an addition, not the root of what being a lesbian is... and you felt like being w a butch woman was like being in a straight relationship... how? You must be some kind of gender essentialist who believes men are ought to be inherently masculine and women inherently feminine . That is called sexism babes...

    What a beautifuk woman 🌸
I loved the part "Why is it so hard to see you as a woman?"
I acknowledge transpeople but it is also important to acknowledge that women can look like transguys, it doesn't mean they want to be a man or they should transition. This narrative is anti-woman. They don't have to be called men, confused about their transidentity or made to transition. People just want to push every non-gender conforming woman into hormones and masectomy these days.

You know what. I thought this was going to be a really terf-y comment but after reading it all I kind of agree. Idk if I consider myself gnc or nonbinary but I do know for a fact that if I actually had any breasts to speak of (my chest is already flat af and if I'm dysphoric I just wear two sports bras and a hoodie and you can see NOTHING it's great.) I would get a masectomy. Even though I don't really want a masectomy as my body currently is, I do admit it feels like something I "should" do if I id as nb. Honestly, this comment and video has made me wonder if a large part of why I will just tell people I am nonbinary is to decrease the "you look like a man" "why do you dress like a man" comments because for whatever reason it seems like some people have a more difficult time accepting that I just dress/look like this because it feels natural than they do accepting the concept of a third gender.

I don't know the demographics of the people who are said to have threatened or insulted you. Could be old, young, black white, rich poor. But something is very off about the whole scenario. I live in the north, in a poor area that a liberal living in London might lazily expect to be homophobic, but I'm telling you right now there's no way that happens in a post office round my way without it kicking off. How deeply depressing it is that this can happen to someone simply or the way they look, and bystanders do nothing. London needs to have a long look at itself if this is the case.
