when I was 12 I told my mom I wanted to be Butch when I grew up. She didn't like that very much, too bad for her that's exactly what I turned out to be. Ivan you are so amazing, funny, and just all around made of pure unadulterated awesome!
It's been a while since anyone's left a comment here. But I was listening, and Ivan was questioning whether, were they 20 years younger, they would have identified as butch. I am 30 years younger (I was 10 years old when this video was posted), and I went through my phase of being "queer" and of "not liking labels," but butch is where and who I am. I fully believe that those to whom the label "butch" applies will always find it, and with it, their community.

If there was a straight pride parade i wouldnt feel like i had a duty to carry playboys and Vaseline and shout out objectifying statements....maybe catcall all the pretty girls around??? You can support the gay community without a necklace made from condoms, you dont have to walk around in lingerie to show solidarity... Strap ons dont show support for the marginalized.
