I enjoy breakfasts just like Dr Barnard. Breakfast is just a meal : break the chains of thinking you have to have a “breakfast” food.

Love Dr. Barnard. I wish that I had known about a plant based diet when I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease...

Dr. Barnard said it well. Health-motivated vegans benefit tremendously in the long run by remembering the plight of the animals and environment.

      Yes!
Whenever I was tempted to eat cheese, I’d bring to mind what happens to the cows and their babies to get that product, and that’d take care of that craving.
A momentary pleasant taste sensation is not worth the horror inflicted on animals. No effing way do I want to support the dairy industry!

@@AH-cy4md, just go through the cheese withdrawal, then it will be out of your body in 3 weeks & u will never crave it again

I got it a few weeks back. Though I love Dr. Barnard, I was disappointed to find no new insights in the book that he hadn't already shared in his interviews. I had hoped it'd be more in depth... 😕

It's true that PCRP makes a great impact on improving health, environment, reducing animal cruety. I listen to PCRP, Dr. Bernard, Dr. Greger, Dr. McDougall to keep me inspired to stay on plant based. Thank you so much for all of your contributions.

I called the Barnard medical center once to ask a simple question about why I'm not losing more weight on a vegan diet & they told me they don't answer questions over the phone & to make an appt. LMAO

NOTE: Many of us who no longer use Morton Salt is not because we are "modern" but because they have stripped the minerals from that salt (and sell them to vitamin companies) and they leave that salt out in great piles in places with great pollution, which the salt no doubt absorbs! I would like to see Celtic or Himalayans that are iodized.

Just take Iodoral 12.5 tabs to get all the iodine u need. Wake up a dead thyroid & be toasty warm again in winter. Doctors used iodine (lugols) to treat mostly everything until pharmaceuticals came out in the 1930s . Iodoral 12.5 is lugols in pill form. Iodoral is made from rocks, not dirty seaweed. Only available online!

I’ve been tested my thyroid many times. I have most of the symptoms but test normal, not having it. I went to endocrinologist and she tested and didn’t have Hypo or Hyper. What do you suggest I do? I’m fully wfpb!

Why even mention plant protein for breakfast? It’s silly. Our diet should be rich in low protein starchy foods like potatoes and rice. Protein is the biggest factor for reduced longevity. Breakfast should be a big bowl of rice, potatoes, oats, starchy staples and vegetables plus some fruit. Beans are a richer food, especially tempeh or tofu and should be a much smaller part of the diet or optional. And strange proteins like nutritional yeast should be avoided.
