I bought the 2 piece for $34 delivered.. Just had to get a little creative . Double side Gorilla tape is your best friend. I also ran double side tape about 1/8 of a inch At the bottom of the windshield all the way across pillar to pillar underneath the cowl vent rubber . I also ran it across the body frame where the clamps go all the way across and cuts slips in the clap holes It came out perfect..thanks for the video.!
It's nice to know Dorman makes replacement for these now. Years ago mine broke in pieces and didn't want to pay the $200+ price for a new one. Decided to go to a salvage yard and got a really nice original off same year car and only cost me $10!!
Even it’s my car is a day to day driver I always treat her like a queen, I have a 02 GT and she gets notting but the best.

This is great, I just bought a 2000 V6 as a project car. Was wondering how to remove that cowl because I need to reseat it. Might just buy new ones in case they break. Gonna check out other vids for tips. Nice fourth gen mustangs man.
I had a rock that hit my windshield causing a crack, so I replaced it. Noticed a gap between the windshield and COWL seal in the middle. Replaced the old with new COWL but seal and windshield still has gap.

This was replaced on my Cobra before I got it, was the Ford OEM one as well so mines in excellent condition

The one piece Doorman one works pretty good. Had to trim the edge a bit for it to fit under the pillar at the edge but otherwise looks pretty good especially for the price.
So I have to remove the whole cowl cover and risk breaking it just to replace the windshield nozzle spray?

Yea they only do the 2 piece ones for shipping reasons and box reasons (convenience)

them sprayers break be careful separating the hose 30 a pop also to replace and reuse the old clips dont use tape, when it gets hot it will release ,been in auto glass for 26 years seen it all
I put this on and it sucked. We’ll kind of. The tabs are way to small for tabs. I had to wire tape it and put super glue down. Holds really nice. All but one tab was able to get put in on the bottom. Also doesn’t line up exactly in the middle. But all in all, better than broken. Things in there good.
Hey brother by any chance you don't know what it could be causing your wipers only to work in high and not intermittently 2002 mustang

The video install is for a two-piece cowl. Link is for a one-piece. What is the link for the two-piece? Great video and step by step install. Much appreciated to know what item you used.
I put a link for the one piece because it is a better one than the two piece. The gap is noticeable but it depends on if the car is a show car or not. With it being a new piece, I would recommend the one piece and give it a little bend to install. The two piece one is available on ebay if you search for it
@@dannyjohnsonsgarage You did a great job, especially with a lesser quality part. There are very poor reviews on all two-piece cowls on Amazon. I agree with you and others that the one-piece may be the best option. Thanks again.
Trying to figure out if the cowl from 99-04 will fit my 98, because it's $100 cheaper for the newer model year and it's a daily driver
cannot confirm 100% but i think the 94-98 one is a bit smaller or a slightly different shape
