Great look under the intake manifold, but you dont need to remove the intake manifold to replace that rigid hose. Simply take off the black bracket (3 torx bolts) at the front of the engine (connected to the throttle body) and use a long screwdriver to reach trough and unclip and remove the connection at the head. You'll need to snake the new tube through the right side of the engine, under the intake manifold and the connection will come right to the place it connects at the head. Use your fingers to just barely touch and snap it in place. Attach to resevoir, refill coolant, reattach black bracket and done. I've removed the intake manifold before and I would rather do anything but take it off!

Do the boots for the intake require any specific torque?

From what I have seen there is much easier and more efficient way of replacing the coolant intake pipe!!

Is there a torque for the bolts? To tighten up when done

I can’t get the intake out. It’s like the valve cover keeps you from getting it out? How to pull it? Thanks Kev NJ

Yeah, Albert's right. I took mine off today because everybody says that's where they leak. I do have a mysterious leak, but it wasn't that hose! But it only took an hour to figure it out and take it off, and put it back on after a thorough inspection. Still can't find my tiny leak though!

My leak turned out to be the oil filter reservoir, where coolant runs through it to cool the oil! 10.5 hours labor! $2400! Fixed now. Let me know if this has happened to anyone else. Thanks.

@@jorgemartinbg Neither. My leak was elsewhere and no video exists on that repair.

How much would an Indy shop charge for this job?
    Thanks

150-250 USD is a generous quote.
