Thank you so much for putting this video online. I too was having difficulty opening the power cord cover. I feared I'd break it. It was very helpful to see that there really is a hinge to left, that there are tabs on the door to be released, and the arrow really points to where to pry. The manual was useless. Now, we'll see if this unit can handle a Texas summer in a detached garage!

Wish I could get the size of the bottom inside part of the freezer so I can determine if/how many kegs I can keep in there for a keezer. Or even a fermenter.

The door locks on mine when you chose it and it won't open until it gets cold again, Why do they do this?

When the lid is opened cold air flows out, of the freezer, and warm humid air flows in. When the lid is closed, the warm air mixing with the cold air creates a vacuum, causing the lid to be harder to re-open. Allow the internal pressure to equalize before re-opening the lid, this should take less than a 1 minute.

nice video but disappointed you didn't show how to open the power cord storage area - a lot of people are asking about this all over the internet. You just show the cord but not how you actually got that trap door open....

Should power on after 24 hours?

Yes, whenever you've moved or tipped a deep freezer you should really let it sit for 24 hours before you plug it in.

Only 20 loathes of bread? How big are Canadian loathes of bread?

They’re so big that other countries, with smaller loaves, loathe them for it. Tragic really.

Video does not show how to defrost. Cannot find a tray to fit under the freezer. It should come with a coupler to attach a garden hose. Cannot find a coupler that fits. Too heavy to move outside. I would not buy this again.

Use your brain. Use a baking dish of some sort. Or just shove a towel down. You shouldn't be defrosting it when there is gallons of water...

Short review but thanks just the same. I will say this concerning Best Buy & this branded name chest freezer... They are ALL made in China under different traditional American manufacturers names, i.e. Magic Chef, Frigidaire, Amana, Danby, GE, etc...I'm in the market for a small to med. sized chest freezer. I called Best Buy just yesterday so as to speak with a sales associate in the Lebanon, NH Best Buy store on the Insignia branded 7.0 CF chest freezer. NOT going to happen. The individual on the other end was a foreigner, i.e. from either India or perhaps the Philippines, with such a heavy accent, I could barely understand what this man was saying, i.e. pigeon English at best, so I got nowhere fast & he would not or could not transfer me over directly to the store staff. I politely said, you are of NO help & said goodbye, hence NO SALE for Best Buy on this particular Chinese made freezer, in fact I will not drive down there nor walk through the Best Buy doors again, I've washed my hands of Best Buy, this has happened before, never again...
    Bill... :~)
