I must be mistaken and maybe someone will be able to explain to me. I thought the G was the frequency being used. So I assumed 5 G would be 5 GHZ. is this saying it will be called 5G utilizing 24 G?

I believe it is mixed media, both wireless and backbone fiber. Fiber would be a must for 5-G.
