Honestly, this video doesn't explain anything. 5G is faster than 4G is essentially what they spent 5 mins saying.

alvin trieu I agree. I tried understanding what he was saying and I’m pretty tech savvy, but he kept using marketing buzzwords like “the cloud” and “infrastructure” that doesn’t really mean anything. He basically spent 5 minute trying to say 5G will have lower latency and faster speed.
Yeah, explained almost nothing. What 5g is to do is also greatly increase the number of devices reached within an area, such as a city block. To do that you have many more transmitters on a single tower. However they have to use frequencies that are somewhat weaker but that have a capacity to split up to carry many more devices. Because of their weakness the towers must be closer to you to get to you and/or travel through walls. Basically each device will have its own personal tower. This will allow you to wirelessly comunicate with tons more devices. Smart thermastates, watches, phones, cars, coffee makers, VR headsets, etc. Called The internet of things. Current towers and frequecies used simply can't handle such loads. That is my understanding of it.

I own my own company that do the 5G installs. The inaccuracies in this video are astounding. The large self support towers with antennas they repeatedly show are 3G and 4G. 5G antennas go on poles at a maximum height of 38’. The frequency is higher concentrated, therefore the distance it’s able to reach is much less. That’s just one of numerous things they brought up that are not true.
But I don't want more of the Internet. I want less of it.

@@Robertsson I don't think 5G would/should be deployed for mobiles but to bring true wireless communication to home. You need not be connected to a fixed line but the connection to your home become wireless as 5G can easily bring in 1Gbps(at the moment) without any issues

Every next generation wireless broadband technology overpromises and under delivers. The real issue here is that you have almost infinite user demand for bandwidth and finite capacity. With a few million users on the network it will all grind down to 1-2Mbps. All we see here is speed tests and latency measures in an ideal network condition with zero network congestion which is hardly the case once the network is deployed.

There is one on my electric meter and the water meter where I live. I didn't have a say in the matter; the companies just did it.
Actually smart meters only take a reading once every month on the last day and they use any WAN (wireless area network) so that means the levels of radiation would literally be that the same of a mobile phone.

Within the last year in my part of Florida, our electric utility company installed smart meters. I told them NO WAY, and they sent me the opt-out form in the mail... which I completed and returned. And, oh yes, it costs. There was an initial charge of about $90, followed by a monthly fee of about $20. Sux, but it is what it is!

Why aren’t they discussing the health risks? The amount of radiation omitted by these devices is ridiculous and extremely irresponsible of the government to put these up in residential areas.
A 5G antenna at the high frequency side will use lower than 1 W of power. Of course there will be much more of them but the overall radiation will be similar to 4G. So no, the radiation omitted by these devices is not ridiculous.

I'd like to see some deeper discussion into what this technology will bring, in terms of risks and dangers, not simply costs. What kind of opportunities does such low latency offer to large companies and agencies who are capable of tracking our movements in realtime, for example? This is the type of discussion we should be having, rather than rushing headfirst into a such a powerful new tech.

I have noticed with my 4G Android phone that I have physical pain. When I keep it on and near me or by the bed when I get up I am sore and stiff and my joints hurt. My phone broke and I was waiting on a delivery of a replacement phone for almost two weeks due to missed deliveries. I swear I felt so good physically without my phone. I could get straight up out of bed with no pain at all. My joints we're good and loose..I felt like I could do a back flip with no problem. I physically felt good and emotionally I felt more positive. I felt extremely better overall ...until I got my replacement phone. Then the first painful symptoms started up again like my phone was aging me at a rapid pace. So now I turn my phone off a lot more when I'm not using it. I truly believe that what has been happening is no coincidence.

I have nothing against progress and technology but there is tons of information on the internet of how 5G can be extreamely dangerous to our health by having a direct effect on the body's DNA. Recently I had noticed that my dog's behavior and personalty had changed drastically. I couldn't find an answer to it and I knew she wasn't sick but she was off in a a big way. Normally my dog follows me into every room in the house and she was comfortable wherever she was until 5G. She suddenly began fearing something. She would dash across the room or wait to cross the room but seemed afraid to. There was also signs of confusion meaning she wouldn't know which way to head. I had no idea what was going on. Then it occurred to me to unplug the router. Now I turn on the router whenever I need to use an electronic device and since most of the time I keep it unplugged the dog has returned to her normal self.

Below you can find the beginning of the document which includes links to 8 compilations and reviews of peer-reviewed studies (each one referencing between 500-3000 studies) showing harmful biological effects from non-ionizing RF-radiation.
It's not only about power. There are multiple potential mechanisms of harm. While non-ionizing radiation isn’t strong enough to break chemical bonds, it is proven that low-intensity non-ionizing RF-radiation results in other harmful effects on biological systems.
I'm not saying it will kill us all, or something like that, of course not. But it's a slow burn and we should all be mindful of our exposure, just like we should be mindful with too much sugar, carbs, alcohol, PUFAs etc. Stating that it's perfectly safe to expose oneself 24/7 is not very responsible. Also parts of the population seem to be MUCH more sensitive to the frequencies (EHS).
We need to balance our time indoors and our use of technology with being in nature, in the sun and walking barefoot / grounding to discharge.

1. Health Effects of 5G
The health effects of 5G have not been studied enough. Actually, they have barely been studied at all and the studies that have been done are far from reassuring. No large-scale studies have taken place before the rollout of the technology. This in itself, is of course completely outrageous. At the very least, it violates basic human rights against mass population experimentation.

Review some of the studies that has been done on milli-meter waves (the coming frequencies that will be used for 5G) - These preliminary studies show clear adverse health effects:

2. Studies on different wireless technologies
2G, 3G, Wi-fi and the radiation from current cell towers etc. have been studied to different extents (see point 3 below) with very mixed results. There is currently no clear scientific consensus as claimed by certain regulatory bodies. As with scientific research on other environmental pollutants, EMF research is complex and contains inconsistencies; some studies show very significant negative effects while others are showing no effects, depending on what kind effects were being studied.
4G on the other hand hasn’t been studied very much at all (!) and with 5G “we are flying blind”.

No matter the mechanisms (more about the potential mechanisms later in this comment), the number studies that show biological effects is increasing week by week, month by month. The question is not if it has an effect, the question is how much of an effect.
Comparing visible light with man-made EMFs only in terms of wave-length (the visible light from the sun vs non-ionizing radiation) shows a complete lack of understanding of physics and its relation to biochemistry and quantum biology. We evolved under sunlight under millions of years. Our bodies, all animals and all plants are adapted to those frequencies. In fact, they are key to our very existence. The sun is healthy and are key to an array of biochemical and hormonal processes in the body.
