  • Practicing at home with an inexpensive Huipang HP07 table tennis robot during the Coronavirus times. I modified the feeder bowl to accept more balls.
    It does lack more advanced features but it's simple, fairly consistent, and inexpensive. Overall it's a good training partner; a great match for my skill level since neither the robot nor me are professionals by any stretch :)
    Music is my own original song. "Get Your Shoes" written and recorded by Gabe Balazs.
    p.s. I apologize for the weird auto focus problems at certain parts of the video.

    Mate you should try transferring your weight especially for your forehand cause using only the arm (even thought it can make a lot of spin) can cause serious shoulder damage in the longterm

      Thank you, I'll try

      Idk about shoulder damage but definitely needs to use the shoulder and legs to power more

      @@gabebalazsphoto That was the first thing I noticed however, dont' feel bad it's hard especially adults. Get your arm as loose as possible and visualize it is a wet towel, not an arm. Use the legs and hip to 'pull' the arm forward, then let the salute whip into position. This will save your arm and add a ton of spin, speed and power to your shots.

    How much spin does it generate? It doesn't seem like much but maybe that wasn't the highest setting?

    • @gabebalazsphoto
      @gabebalazsphoto  8 месяцев назад

      A decent amount, it wasn't at the highest setting. Although the backspin did surprise a friend of mine who used to play semi pro in Europe. She struggled to get the balls back over the net for a while :)

    Ohhhhh!!!! So that's how keep them off the floor...you hit them back into the net. OK I'll start practicing it

    Thnx for sharing! So the robot head doesn't move, and the balls land in the same area? I mean it can't play once backhand once forehand?

    • @gabebalazsphoto
      @gabebalazsphoto  3 года назад +1

      It can move, it can oscillate from left to right. There is a few seconds of that in the video.

    Szia Balázs! megkérdezhetem hol vetted a robotot és hogy ez tud-e egyszer nyesett, egyszer pörgetett labdát adni? köszi!

      @gabebalazsphoto  Год назад

      Szia Sándor! Pár éve vettem az Amazonon. Sajnos nem tudja váltogatni a nyesett és pörgetett labdákat. Vagy az egyik, vagy a másik, de keverni nem lehet.

    Hi, can you please drop the link to buy this robot? And can the robot shoot on any side of the table? Or is it only fixed drop?

    • @gabebalazsphoto
      @gabebalazsphoto  Год назад +1

      Hi, the head of the robot is capable of shooting side to side by panning sideways. There is an "oscillation" knob where you can vary the speed of the side to side movement. And by stopping the oscillation, you can aim it at any direction and leave it there if desired.

    Hi, is this like 75% speed? can it go faster? I heard it can launch balls at about 40m/s max which is about 140km/h. Please let me know thanks

      I don't remember exactly but 75% sounds good. I highly doubt though that it can do 140 km/h.

      Rotating the head 90 degrees achieves side spin.

    Can it do sidespin?

    • @gabebalazsphoto
      @gabebalazsphoto  2 года назад +1

      Yes, the head can be rotated 360 degrees so a backspin or topspin can become side spin if I turn it 90 degrees. Or any other variation in between.

    Hello, does did robot collect the balls back to bucket automatically ?

    • @gabebalazsphoto
      @gabebalazsphoto  4 года назад +8

      No it doesn't. The catch net has a hole at the bottom and the balls fall into a bucket. I need to dump the bucket into the ball bowl. But taking a break every 2-3 minutes is actually good :)
