1:40 the biggest story twist of 2019 😂 great video thank you so much!
You just thought me all I needed to know, I think you're too modest! Thank you & well done 🌟
Ooh, Id live an update on these plants, curious about how they're doing! ❤️
I’ve had my pilea for maybe 2 months and I have 6 small pups 🥺 it’s my favorite plant!
That’s so awesome! ☺️
So glad that your back!🤓💚 Welcome to the married ladies club!!👰🤵p.s. That syngonium in the back is BEAUTIFUL!!💚🙌
Thank you so much! Glad to be in the club 🥰 and thank you so much!! She is one gorgeous lady!
Great video! You answered every question I had!
Thanks this video has been super helpful. I’ll definitely be doing this to my pilea.
Good info - you give your viewers confidence!
Thanks for the video! Exactly what i was looking for.
Thank you for sharing Becca!! I've had to do this with three leggy Pileas and they all rooted within a week, and the stumps started sprouting crazy babies plants lol!!❤️🥰
Thanks, Becca for this informative video!
Of course! ❤️
Congrats on your marriage! Hope the day was wonderful!
Thank you so much! It definitely was ❤️
Congrats on your marriage be blessed and enjoy many many many years ❤
Thank you so very much ❤️
Hi Becca so good to see you again. I got my pilea about a month or so ago and I have her in a north east window and she absolutely loves where she is, she's growing really well and has many new leaves, she also has at least two pups growing around her, my daughter wants one super bad and I told her I would give her one of the mama 's baby's, and she is super happy, she just got a variegated syngonium, and she is sending me some cuttings of a string of hearts that she found a lady on Etsy selling them, check off another one of my wish list plants. Thanks Becca this was a helpful video and will come in handy when I separate the baby from the mama.
That’s super awesome!!! I love that you two can share plants ❤️
Great video. Wonderful information. Learned a lot. I 😍 😍😍 this plant 😊
Thank you!!❤️❤️
My pilea has 5 full-on pups and I never deadheaded the mom, all from the soil. There are a few TINY ones growing from the stem 😊
I have a really big pilea. It is super bushy, and one of my first plants.
Today I decided to re pot it and see if any of the growth from beneath the soil could be removed, turns out that each growth point had its own stem beneath the soil. The mama gave me 6 plants!
Unfortunately a lot of roots lost because of a death plug I didn't know was there until re potting, but still enough for me to not have to grow roots in water.
I came to this video to make sure I didn't fuck up because while handling the plant, the stems kept snapping off each other (5 were connected to mama) I'm glad that its normal
I have had one of these for years. It's prolly one of the easiest plants I have ever had to care for. I find baby's in my other plants and all over my garden.
This is SUPER helpful! I am hoping my pilea will give me babies soon :)
I hope so too. ❤️
Great video! My little Pilea is down to three leaves. I just repotted it, I don’t know what else to do to help the little buddy. :(
Congratulations to you and your husband.
Nb dead heading is not the same as pruning. Dead heading means to remove spent flowers. What you have done is severe pruning. Xxxx
Glad your pilea is really feeling great! Must've been so scary to break off the top at first tho
It did it on its own!!! So basically had no control 😂
Ahh these are some of my absolute favourite plants, however only one of my five has had a baby (and it was from the soil).
I would love to see them have babies from the stem but they don't seem to interested in that.. Maybe they're all male hahah
Anyways, awesome video! Have a great weekend xx
That sucker is HUGE! I hope mine gets to be that size someday :)
It really is!!! I was so shocked by the growth while I was gone 😳
Hi, Becca! Once again, very usefull video! Will try to use your tips on my Pileas, once they will grow bigger :) And then will do a video about it on my channel and give you a credit as a Pilea GURU :D Have a beautiful day
Thank you so much! You’re so sweet!! Can’t wait to watch your vid :)
I have a young plant about 7 inches that has a baby forming about 3 inches. The leaves are falling off. Do I need to separate so the older one gets bigger?? What is your preference for soil mixture for piles?? Ty.
my pilea has two sad leaves left and i want to save it. Will this still work?
How often do you water the babies ?
I have propagated with just a leaf. Put in water & give it time. Little roots grow, be patient.
My pilea is getting huge and just started having SOOOO many babies I can't keep up!!! I think there are 6 babies !!! I don't do anything specific she just gives off a ton
Pileas love making pups. I've got 8 so far in within a year
That’s awesome! I’d say I’ve gotten about that many too :)
Great video Becca! I've just separated all of my pilea babies from the mother plant but I'm so scared to cut the mature ones stem. If I cut it, will the remaining stem keep growing?
I wish I could add a photo, the mature one has about a 3 inch stem with no leaves, they're all at the top now x
It will branch off! If you don’t want to cut it don’t!!! My original plant never grew tall again, it just branched a bunch. I replanted what I cut off and that eventually grew tall again
@@BeccaDeLaPlants omg Becca I did it 😊😊😊 let's see how it goes ❤ I got over the fear 🤣
@@BeccaDeLaPlants it began rooting😱🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
So beautiful i have to get a pilea
Yes you do! Theyre the best :)
Mine is making a few babies right at soil level but coming from the stem, about how big do they need to be before removing them?
I’d say they need to have a few leaves around 1/2 inch in diameter before you separate it! The bigger the baby the better able it’ll be to survive on its own!
I saw a really tall one , could you attach it to a stick like other vine type plants?
Yes!
How is your project pilea salad bowl coming along? :)
It turned out really cute and I loved it that way for a long time!! I actually repotted it yesterday into a taller pot because they’re growing so much and it just looked kinda funny :) haha
I gasped out loud when she pulled back her hand with half of her plant in it!
Your awesome with Pileas! I got a small one, like 3 little leaves or so. It was doing good, then 1 or 2 leaves died, fell off. I moved it and once again it did fine. Then one day it just died🤷🏾♀️ Maybe I overwatered it?🤦🏽♀️ So now it's just a little stump, but it's still rooted. I'm hoping if I leave it, maybe itll grow back.
Ahh I hope your stump grows back!! I’m sure it will. They’re generally painless plants!
@@BeccaDeLaPlants Dang it, I tossed it. Didn't see any roots, but got a new one🤗 My friend said water shouldn't touch the leaves? Prob why mine died, true?
Got babies already: real 💨
About lest than a month
But I am not taking them out.!
He is a beautiful Pilea🥰
What does your pilea collection look like now? :D Would love to see it.
How big do pilea have to be to produce babies? (Do they grow fast?)
I got one from HD yesterday, it's small and has four babies on it! I have one at home in water, had it a few months, no babies
Mine makes new plants without doing that. I can't keep up!
That’s so awesome!!
Mine too! I propagated 5 pilea babies 2 weeks ago, they've all started rooting already and I've already spotted 2 more teeny tiny pups pushing out! We must have found the perfect spot for them!
Can you please do a video on leaf curling or pilea care?
I currently have two videos on my channel discussing pileas! The first one I talked more about care
@@BeccaDeLaPlants thank you!
Can I just leave the babies there? I kind of like this kind of small potted family. It’s cute haha
Definitely you can leave them!
My Pilea plant is not shiny. How come?
I clean the leaves with a warm, damp cloth twice a month and they shine.
Thank you!
Mine was doing amazing until I moved 😢😢😢
I have the worst luck with this plant. I killed one. I dont know how people get them to grow so big. I have a small one left. I try not to look at it the wrong way so it stays alive. 😂
“Try not to look at it wrong” 😂 hahaha that’s so funny. Good luck with your last one!
Same for the watermelon?
The watermelon peperomia is a different genus from the pilea peperomioides so it doesn't grow pups the same way!
Peperomias can propogate by rooting smaller clusters of leaves on a single base, or you can root individual leaves.
How do u take the lower older leaves off and how thankyou x
My pilea is so slow, I'm not sure why.
Try more light! And fertilize regularly.
@@BeccaDeLaPlants I'll try that. Thank you!😎
🙋🏽👍🏻
I just snap mine off. haha
Haha yep that’s another way to do it!
