    Hi Becca so good to see you again. I got my pilea about a month or so ago and I have her in a north east window and she absolutely loves where she is, she's growing really well and has many new leaves, she also has at least two pups growing around her, my daughter wants one super bad and I told her I would give her one of the mama 's baby's, and she is super happy, she just got a variegated syngonium, and she is sending me some cuttings of a string of hearts that she found a lady on Etsy selling them, check off another one of my wish list plants. Thanks Becca this was a helpful video and will come in handy when I separate the baby from the mama.

    I have a really big pilea. It is super bushy, and one of my first plants.
    Today I decided to re pot it and see if any of the growth from beneath the soil could be removed, turns out that each growth point had its own stem beneath the soil. The mama gave me 6 plants!
    Unfortunately a lot of roots lost because of a death plug I didn't know was there until re potting, but still enough for me to not have to grow roots in water.
    I came to this video to make sure I didn't fuck up because while handling the plant, the stems kept snapping off each other (5 were connected to mama) I'm glad that its normal

    • @BeccaDeLaPlants
      @BeccaDeLaPlants  4 года назад +1

      I’d say they need to have a few leaves around 1/2 inch in diameter before you separate it! The bigger the baby the better able it’ll be to survive on its own!

    Your awesome with Pileas! I got a small one, like 3 little leaves or so. It was doing good, then 1 or 2 leaves died, fell off. I moved it and once again it did fine. Then one day it just died🤷🏾‍♀️ Maybe I overwatered it?🤦🏽‍♀️ So now it's just a little stump, but it's still rooted. I'm hoping if I leave it, maybe itll grow back.
