    Thanks! This answered a lot of questions I had about my peperomioides. Leaf curl, red stems, roots, light, etc. I've had mine for two years and ive noticed more leaf curl and red stems. Time to repot and up the humidity!

    OMG thank you! I just got one of these, and I was wondering why the leaves were starting to curl inwards. Just relocated it to my bedroom, which gets a little less light and it's a little cooler, but I have a humidifier. We'll see how she does.

    Oh thanks so much! I just bought one & wasn't sure what light it liked. I had it in lower light but saw a couple of yellow leaves so I thought it was the lack of light. Now I'm thinking maybe they were just old leaves.

    I’m so glad I came across you! Thank you for the well explained care of the pilea peperomoides. My pilea’s leaves look like the one you showed that you had under a grow light so I immediately removed mine from the grow light. Do you know if the leaves remain curled or do they flatten once in the right environment? I have also subscribed to your channel! 😊🪴🌱

  • @dlucky516
    @dlucky516 3 года назад

    All my new pilea leaves are curled and I can't figure out why! I have tried watering it less, but I do place it in next to a fairly bright window and I live in a very dry climate. I will try moving it to a dimmer spot and maybe even a more humid room. Your video was very helpful, thank you!

  • @Largemarge666
    @Largemarge666 5 лет назад +9

    I have two in the bathroom. High humidity and bright light. They aren’t doing well and the leaves are curling. Once it warms up more I’ll put them outside and they’ll grow really well.
    I don’t think the high humidity is best.

    Putting it to close to your bright LED light is like putting them under bright sunlight and the leaves get damaged.

    How would this plant do in the bathroom or kitchen

  • @ojalajodi
    @ojalajodi 5 лет назад

    I have been considering buying one of these plants but each time I try, the ones in my area seem to have a problem. The leaves will have light spotting on the leaves. This has been at several different stores. Do you know what that could be from? Not brown spots but lighter colored spotting on the back of the leaf

    • @sharpy1001
      @sharpy1001 5 лет назад

      If you are using local tap water, impurities and chemicals can cause spotting. Use filtered water or boiled water
