i landed my double axel late this year but my consistency has been really off lately and just watching this video and seeing all of your tips and how beautiful your double axel looks after 2 years of hard work, it makes me so motivated to keep working on it! thank you so much for doing this video!
Great video!! Super helpful tips!! Also important to note that different body types, ages, etc. will need different techniques to land the double axel; not every technique works for everyone!!
Hey I wanted to say I’ve been watching your channel for around 2 years since I started and I remember looking at your video on how to do a waltz jump!!! Now that I am doing double axel I just wanted to say thank you for inspiring me and giving me tips and tricks to get my jumps and spins more consistent ❤❤❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
For a triple salchow: 1. On the take off edge, you want to be leaning forward and to the inside. 2. Then kick your leg and your swing your arms at the same time. You want to kick up so you can get off the ice faster and get more power 3.Bring your arms in, straighten your right leg, and cross your legs 4. then on the landing keep your upper body twisted to the right, this can be achieved by keeping your hands on your right hip 5. Then land it. Hope this helped lol
omgg im working on my double axel now and im actually so shocked. back in november i was only working on my singles! anyways i have axel phobia and sometimes i chicken out of a single axel 😭 super excited to work on the 2a tho
I love your double axel! How tall are you? I am 5'8" and wondering if my height will affect my balance in the air when learning the double axel? I'm working on perfecting my single axel to prepare for the double. Do you have any tips for keeping straight in the air?
This is really helpful! I'm currently working on my double axel, and I wanted to ask how long it took you to get yours. The reason is I just turned 13 and I know my body's changing, so if I'm pretty sure if I don't get it sooner or later it's going to be too late.
A while ago I was working on single and double preps and now I injured my knee so I can’t work on anything for a week, do you have any knee injury exercise recommendations?
Hi, are you planning to go to the Olympics because your really good!☺ Also would you recommend Riedelle figure skates? Do you think they are a good brand?
May I ask how long you learned figure skating for? I am 25 and want to start. I want to maybe be able to land some jumps in the future. I heard it is really hard when you are a women because of hips and the other area making it harder to pull in tight for jumps.
I have my double axel off the ice and on ice I am really scared? And I jump way to forward and not up if you get what I mean. I jump far but not high so I lack the height and it’s just really annoying :(
Omg this is perfect! I’ve landed my double axel, but the hardest part for me is to not spin my landing. If that makes sense! 💖
I'm assuming you mean over-rotating?
@@kawaiiotaku1599 I think that’s what she means
@@kawaiiotaku1599 yup, basically it happens because my upper body wants to keep rotating, even after I land! 😂
@@kikeo.7635 :)
In my opinion spinning after a double axel is really pretty lol
very good advice....you had a good coach!!
I love the feeling when you land them!

I’m relearning my double axel after years of not being able to jump and this was soooo helpful!
I also agree with the straight pattern one it works for me all the time and I land the single or double axels perfectly
Landed my first one last night!!! 🥳 So excited to hopefully maintain it... I’m the first female in my club to ever land one!! Yay 😁😍⛸
hi how long have u been skating for?
@@rimshaimtiaz139 I’ve been skating for about 7 years…

Thank you so so much! I will definitely try it out.
Could you do a series on early triples on and/or off the ice? I’m starting to do off ice triples and it would be super helpful.
Your knee is very important for the double axel 🖤🖤 with this the thought of it taking more than two years to get it 1982-2024!!
Can you do a how to triple salchow?

Takes more than just a double axel and triples to go to the Olympics. The Russians can do quads
@Margot Seed27 Thanks! ☺☺
I bought riedell for the first skates of mine and I love them. They’re better for narrow feet though. I transitioned to Edea after a year.
Merci
