- So I finally posted another video! I'll try to post at least every month now 😅 but I landed my double axel in October, so this video is about the progression of my double axel (yes, I know this is like 3 months late, I'm just busy (lazy), ok), and I included some tips in the end (from my experience so I'm sorry if it doesn't help everyone) and also some inspirational quotes :))
Also, I'm really sorry for the horrible audio
I'm really grateful to my coaches, family, friends, and of course Jesus Christ for all their help, advice, support, everything
Luv you all! 💜
I just landed my double lutz so I'm starting double axel, and those tips were very helpful! Thank you sm and congrats on your gorgeous 2A! Hopefully mine looks like that someday :)
that's wonderful, I'm so glad you found my video helpful 😊I'm sure you'll get a beautiful 2A one day 💪💪you can do it!
Lydia, that is amazing. You looked so professional doing it! I really want to learn how to ice-skate but there is literally no where to do it here in the UK. Keep going; you are already brilliant! 💖🥰

aw, I'm sorry to hear that, maybe you'll have more fun if I go with you 😉😂 and thanks!!!!
BORNWINNER yeaa I can’t ice skate and I thought I could the last time I went, I get scared of falling I think lol
@@madisynbabb haha, falling is actually not that bad, im used to it now XD
U got it in jus a yr. That's impressive🤯🤯🤯
thanks, I impressed myself too 😂😂
Okay WoW Nice work !
How realistic is it to learn this from someone who’s never done jumps, what are the precursors?
Thank you !
tysm! it definitely takes time, it really is a journey. if you've never done jumps before, I think it will definitely be pretty hard. I had to do a WHOLE bunch of single axels to prepare for the double, because the double is just like the single but you just gotta close faster and tighter, and so I could feel warmed up enough. never do the jump if you're not warmed up or you feel off on the single. it can be kinda scary, but it's only as hard is you make it 😉 you do need to also work on physical strength training so you can get the height and the length on the jump to get enough air time. so yeah it takes a lot of time and practice, many people take more than a year. but yeah, it's only as hard as you think it is, don't overthink it 😁
Wow ur really good! How long have you skated for?
thanks!! 😊😊so far I've been skating since I was 8, so 8 years
It is THAT scary.
Damn ur gud 🤯🤯🤯
ahaha thank you 😅💖💖💖
AAAHHH!! OH MY GOSH THANK YOU GUYS FOR 1K VIEWS I LOVE YOU GUYS 😭😭😭💖
Do you have any tips for landing? On one foot bc I can’t do land on one foot
Yes, I do, but first what do you mean exactly? do you tend to just land on two feet or do you land on one foot but immediately step down with the other foot or do you land on two feet with your feet crossed? Or something else?? and are you talking about a single, double, or triple jump? in general, you should keep your foot crossed (you're doing a double or more) until right before you land, lift the foot that was crossed (basically open the whole leg a little, like in an "h" shape) so you can push your foot back for your landing position. sorry, if that wasn't that helpful 😅 if you can explain how you land more specifically, I can probably give you a little more advice :))
@@bornwinner.___ I land on one foot but I put down the other one right after I land. And I’m trying to land a single!
@@bornwinner.___ This was very helpful thank you! I’ll try it out when I go to the rink again!
@@adorbs_leah8092 ohhh i see, yeah, that's what i would suggest for your situation. make sure you lift the free leg up (but not too much) and push it back fast. also, make sure to keep your core tight so your body doesn't "collapse" when you land, it will also help you not put your foot down, as you will be holding yourself up. stay strong and believe in yourself! i'm glad i could help :DD
Good hight
thank you!!
