Forrest Gump is my all time favorite movie! I’ve always wanted a Gump sequel. This may be as close as I’ll get. I’ll take it. I’ve seen Gump over 500 times. Yes, you read that right. I’m so beyond thrilled that this is happening! I’m not going to be able to get to the theater fast enough to see this! My favorite romantic couple Hanks (Forrest) and Wright (Jenny) together again. My life is complete.🙃
It’s very interesting how the setup of the house was during different time periods and how many different people came and went through that house over a century. It’s also interest how the house went by candle light then converted to electricity. I can’t wait to see this movie.
The technology is not quite right here… but it doesn’t need to be I think great acting and story can make this really good.

Yeah, the question is: Is today's audience able to tolerate imperfect CGI like we used to tolerate imperfect rear projection, miniatures and stop-motion if the story was good?

@@foamheart exactly idk. Uncanny valley is often a tough crossing. It’s where the director has failed in the past (polar express) but hopefully it works. I love the idea.

I just hope they fix the voice of Tom when he's younger. It's like Harrison For in the last Indy....he looks young but has his modern older voice just doesn't work

@@peterlenham3180 not really though, I don't mean high pitched, his words slurring and breathing gaps are the same. His first movies he had more energy. Here he is playing young without the energy in his voice
A few scenes in a trailer, and you think youve seen the whole film? You cant know what the film will be like until you see it. Anyway I disagree. He sounds fine to me.
It's almost like they should just hire younger actors to play the young parts and Tom Hanks and Rob Wright to play the old parts.
@@SicKno-i5r They never look the same though. "Here", there is a consistency of having the same actors throughout the film as they age. As for why use this technology, well it gives filmmakers lots of opportunities to tell particular stories, that were previously impossible. Its all about the storytelling.
As much as I love the concept, I just don’t think the tech is up to scratch for these types of movies yet. We need James Cameron to take the lead on this concept and nail it just like he did with Avatar, until then, all other attempts are just going to read as uncanny valley…
Well I hope the story and the acting outshines the VFX.

Finally. Somebody in Hollywood knows how to de-age characters very well. I mean, I can still see the CG-ness of it but it's not bad.
You cant see CGI, because it isnt. Its actually ai deepfake technology. So it looks very real.
