@@chriscoyne9717 Agreed. I'm not saying the attack on Kerrigan was OK, but the way Kerrigan milked it for everything it was worth was nauseating, like she'd bravely overcome an amputation, or, as you say, a shattered knee ☺ Fact is that although she suffered bruising, she was back on the ice within a few days and doing back-to-back run-throughs of her routine within two weeks. She seemed to think she ought to get the gold just for showing up, and appeared genuinely shocked that the sympathy vote didn't automatically tip the scales in her favour. Her comments about Bauel were honestly something I'd expect from a fifth grade mean girl, not a professional adult woman.

What's with all the ignorant "land every jump on two feet" comments? She doesn't land any that way. I too, remember watching this back in 1994, and it was obvious the moment she came off the ice that she was going to win. This routine had more speed, more variation, and just plain more fun in it than anyone else's. The idea that this isn't artistry because she "danced" and shook up the routine with popular music and some jitter bug is nonsense. She didn't fall, she stuck her triples. She did make one mistake where it looked like she bailed on a triple and turned it into a double. But I really think the overall playfulness and fun of the routine is what won the judges over. I don't understand why people are so bitter towards her. She was great.

@@chriscoyne9717 Do you really know anything about ice skating? Her jumps were not that exciting ? Where in the hell were you and you can see it for yourself in one of her videos. Do you really want to know the final score ? Communists 5 Americans 4. It was that 5th commiecrap judge that made the difference, not Nancy's skating. It was not a coincidence that only the commicrap judges scored it for Baiul. One less and she has the gold. I am sick of people coming out of nowhere to justify this terrible cheat, fraud, rigged hoax. Why do you keep making excuses for those commiecrap judges ? Nancy skated rings around Oksana Baiul. Another thing is she didn't skate good enough to win the silver. Chen Liu of China won the silver.

И тут Баюл выскочила как чертик из табакерки! As good as the lutz was her triple loop at 1:54 is even more impressive with the height and distance traveled over the ice. Followed by a light and airy very well executed triple salchow at 2:22 is probably what clinched the gold for her. Look at her careful positioning of her free leg just prior to takeoff on that salchow, wow ! (see it in slo-mo at 4:37)
