  • I've drained beaver dam next to my good friend's lands. It collapsed pretty well! I was afraid that this ditch will not absorb all the mud, but it absorbed very good. :)
    Enjoy the video;)

In getting my Biology degree I had to take a couple of courses in physics. So I'd like to do a little analysis on your latest technique:
    1. You dug down at the back of the dam. Water pressure increases by a bit over 1 lb per foot of depth, so you added pressure to the entire base of the dam.
    2. You took off the front, taking out support there.
    3. You undercut the front and started a flow of water under the dam eroding the base.
The above weakened the whole dam on three of it's six sides. There is no support above the dam, and the sides provide very little support. Result - one dam going downstream!
    Dam cleaver them Lithuanians. :D

Good old C4 increases the pressure a hell of a lot more if detonated on the upstream side of the dam near the bottom. Yeah, I saw the Dam Busters movie. Also, my father was an Army Combat Engineer, so that was the stuff he did on a bit bigger scale. Alot . With C 3.
