One thing that annoys me about the demise of the DVD market is that streaming services just don't include the audio description tracks, really hoping this changes, they have closed captions but no audio description option, iPlayer NOWTV and even Netflix don't have anything yet.

Just a few days ago I was accused of faking my disability by a RUclips troll. To prove to them I did a video taking my prosthetic eyes out. Nobody should have to go to that extreme to prove a disability, and not everyone can. I think raising awareness and educating people on how people who are blind or visually impaired can function quite independently through technology and other means is incredibly important. I hope you all have a safe day. Take care in these unique times

My favourite assistive technology is the synapptic interface app, it's not cheap but it comes with two years of support and some great navigation aids, built-in functions and lots of good stuff out of the box, including be my eyes. For some reason, it doesn't come with easyreader installed which is compatible with the new RNIB reading service (unlike audible etc, it is completely fee for the blind, partially sighted or otherwise print impaired, I prefer it to the USB stick in the post but you have to bear in mind the service does not have the same level of access to lots of the RNIB back catalogue content for reasons of publisher fear).

If you have need of a large print chequebook and or a more user-friendly debit card (with choice of high contrast colours, identification notch to help know which way around it is and bigger CCV security code), Barclays Bank are great... The banking app website is good too, their version of the security code device isn't very accessible, but you can use your phone for this so it's ok.

Definitely agree. I think it’s important to raise awareness that there are many forms of visual impairment and just because someone is blind it doesn’t mean they have no site at all, and educating people that there are varying degrees of sight loss will hopefully help inform people. Unfortunately there are too many times where people are accused of faking their blindness or disability. I had this only a few days ago by a RUclips troll. This was a nice departure from your regular videos. Your guest hit the nail on the head when she said - it’s not what you say to people who deny service, it’s how you say it. In my opinion (not worth much but I’ll give it anyway), that’s your number one problem - the way you approach people and how you say (or don’t say) things. You alienate people and they tune out your message, even when the message is a good one. I have a very hard time believing your guest would stand on the sidewalk in front of a church on a Sunday with a sign that said “Fuck the Police”. Even if it were her right to do so, she seems like a classy lady who wouldn’t stoop to that vulgarity just to antagonize people.

I used to be fairly irritated when someone would come into a service for my area with a type of support animal. Are used to think they had no careful people with severe pet allergies like myself… I cannot be around horses, dogs, and cats and without some type of severe symptoms of asthma, sneezing etc... hearing this makes me feel more comfortable with that concept even knowing it will affect my allergies… Obviously I try my hardest to stay away from anybody with a service animal not because I don’t like animals, obviously my body or tonight handle it. Something is wrong with the Blog channel you listed. I'll try to find the correct link and place it in the comments. It should be www.fashioneyesta.com/ this works well.

It’s a comment people seem to get a lot, I have lost count how many times I’ve heard that. Lol. Like what is blindness meant to look like. I think it’s fantastic to be able to make great content like this and raise awareness about sight loss and how we are able to live and function like any other but with a difference. Smile.

You know what I think the retirement plan? For unity is going to be? She’s going to go to a unit LOL that was supposed to be a joke sorry, since I’m completely blind you have to still have a sense of humor you can’t let your disability dictate where you are in life especially if you have a sense of humor you know?so it was a joke sorry
