Yay! So glad you're home! There is nothing more comforting than healing in your own environment in your own bed. So happy for you. You have such a positive outlook and always seem to find the best side of your daily situation. I know people who by all situations don't have it nearly half as bad who complain about life all the time. Your positive outlook is super uplifting.
I can’t believe how positive and happy you are after surgery despite the fact that you’re in pain! That’s awesome! I love watching you’re videos for that reason. It makes my day when I see you’ve posted a new video! Speedy recovery sweetheart and don’t lose that positivity! 💕
So happy to see you up and around!! I hope by the time you are reading this that your gift I sent to your PO Box has gotten there and you were able to pick it up. Your incision is not at large as I was thinking it was going to be and it looks really good. Your are such a rock star cause if it was me I would of probably been in bed still cause I would be scared to move around. But it just makes me more hopeful that when I have my knee surgery that I can do it and still get up and do everything I want. Sending you lots of hugs and love from Oregon.
Been waiting for your next video after your surgery. I miss you and video. I have been watching over a year and I feel like your my best friend. Love you Amy x
So glad to see you doing wonderful after the surgery.. Sending love and prayers for speedy recovery.. As always, you and Tom are so cute!! Thanks for sharing your journey with us!!! Sending love from Asheboro NC USA
Making so much progress. Wow. Incision site looks incredibly good for a week out! 💕 love the shoes! I have tiny feet. (Size 3 uk) 😂 so I get my converse in kids section! Yay! Loving the pair you got! Oooh kinda want them in pink or blue! 👀 Keep recovering! Lotsa love! 💙
Your incision looks like it is healing nicely and I am so happy for that. The nurse helping with the dressing change sounded so sweet and caring. It seems like the nurses usually seem sweet and some of the doctors sound not so nice. Glad to see you are back home and able to rest in your own bed. Well wishes and quick healing thoughts sending your way!!!
Kidney infections are no joke. I’ve heard it’s more painful than a UTI. Hopefully whatever caused it is a fluke and not a sign of issues at the hospital. Glad to see you getting better and vlogging.
So glad you are healing well; your perky smile and wonderful attitude are inspiring! May you be blessed with a rapid and complete recovery...you go, girl! 💕
I just wanted to say thank you for the needle trigger warning you put in all your videos. I have a massive phobia so I appreciate it so so much. 💜 praying for a fast recovery!!
Yay for being home and the good healing that’s happening around the incision area 💐💐 saw your Instagram post and I’m so happy you went and got things checked out! Lots of gentle hugs and I hope things go smoother from here 🤞🏻🤞🏻☺️
When your foot was too swollen to get your shoe on, I felt that in my soul. So glad you made it out of the hospital alright, and your makeup looked gorgeous!
So glad you are recovering well! I was hoping your surgery and recovery would go smoothly! I had to have a major knee surgery a couple weeks before your hip surgery and I’m still recovering so I’m sure n awe of you!
You look great! Your incision site looks fantastic and your attitude is wonderful! Take care, get lots of rest and enjoy being home finally and actually being able to truly rest! I know there's no resting in the hospital with all the goings on and checking ups etc., etc. ❤️
your makeup always looks amazing hun! Love your winged eyeliner, and I know how hard it is, it's taken me years to get the hang of it, and most days it looks uneven or messy lol. Just thought I'd say it always looks lovely!
You are so brave and I kept you in my prayers and it payed off! I have missed you so much and I am so glad that you are healing well! Stay strong and love you!
Im on tapentadol. Been on it for about 3 years every day. I have hEDS, PoTS and MCAS but I take it for my TMJ pain (it got dislocated during sinus surgery and hurt ever since despite 4 operations). Its a game changer.
I had My left hip surgery back in August. It was a Arthroscope, and It was a journey. It’s been almost a year and I’m still recovering. I couldn’t walk that good for 6months. But what I had done was, where they pulled my hip out of joint. They shaved boney edges and arthritis cleaned out. But I’m so glad you are doing good💖
Your incision looks better than the one I had for my hip revision surgery, much less bruising and nice small incision. Your surgeon has the hands of a god.
I missed it, but what happened to your tube? I'm asking because I was just urgently admitted as my heart kept stopping for up to a minute, and I have epilepsy with uncontrolled seizures, diabetes, and gastroperesis. (I have a medical service dog who alerts to my problems, and he is also my best friend. He's the only reason I'm sane right now inpatient, and he is the reason I knew of problems. ) even though I have an internal heart monitor under my skin, he alerts before it goes off. So I now need a pace maker, and they are going to go ahead and switch out my Mickey button at the same time. So I was curious how much difficulty u have had with your GJ button. Lastly, Amy, thank u for being so positive and for inspiring so many. You are a chronic illness warrior and I can personally say u have changed my outlook with my chronic illness. Having my service dog here in the hospital makes a huge difference too. I miss my dogs, kitty, and last but not least my fish, lol, but I know if I don't stay in hospital now, that I won't be alive much longer. So again Amy, I just want to thank you for being the amazing, encouraging, motivational person that u are. You are awesome. Keep healing well, and I hope to be home soon too.
Thinking of you sweetie. I’m 5 weeks post op myself, I have a lovely big scar from the front of my bottom rib to the back (almost lost a kidney)... I had to have a laugh at your dream talks with the Ketamine and Hydromorph. I was convinced my husband broke our kettle because he went jogging with it and ate an apple and that made ants smell my POC; it made sense at the time. Anyway, I’m sending you loads of love and healing energy and wish you a very safe and pain managed recovery x
I have vEDS and after my exact same surgery my bruise was up to my ribs and down to my knee by the next day! I wish my bruising was as tidy as yours, and my bruising didn’t fade until nearly 2.5 months post op! Hopefully you’re feeling better each day!
Wow you are doing amazing. So happy it's all gone so well for you. I was still on oxygen at this point post op 😂. I truly hope this trend in recovery continues for you. Xxxx
literally last night I was wondering how you were doing and I was gonna investigate and all and then I woke up this morning and you posted! so that's good. Really glad to see you doing so well! Keep it up queen
The shadow is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Ur Absolutely incredibly AWESOME!! Hang in there!!! Hoping your kidney infection is under control-with having an SPC I know the frustration with kidney/bladder infections!! Sending you lots of love and hugs!!!
Omg you’re doing so good! And that incision is so cool it looks so neat! Half you’re doing fine and you got to even treat yourself❤️ can’t wait for the tpn tour I was on it for a while so I’m curious with how they make it💕
Your new shoes will be great because I’ve lost count of how many times either my feet have swollen, or I’ve needed the space for ankle/foot orthotics. Please keep us updated on your smart drive. I live in the UK so had to buy mine (£5,000 - I saved up my PIP for over a year) the wristband was faulty so it was replaced after a week and then the main unit completely died within a month... and I’m still waiting for it repairing or replacing. I bought it in September and it died in October... and now we’re in July AND I’M STILL WAITING FOR IT TO COME BACK!!!!!! Apparently the delay is they’re deciding whether to repair it or replace it. I don’t know why that takes 8 months. If I had known I definitely wouldn’t have spent so much money on it.
Jennifer Cato yeah he’s really worn out, I’m doing my best at getting him to rest too, it’s a lot with him having to take care of me even more than normal at the moment 😅❤️
So glad to know you're home and healing well. Take it easy.😊 I like the saying "No sweat off my nose" cause when I get upset or nervous I always sweat on my nose. It's not a stupid saying Tom👍

Your incision looks soooo good!! Wow! It is going to be a nice thin scar, it appears!! Heal well!
That is a hell of an incision! 😨 You are a tough cookie and I’m so glad that you are recovering well. ❤️

Kidney infections are no joke. I’ve heard it’s more painful than a UTI. Hopefully whatever caused it is a fluke and not a sign of issues at the hospital. Glad to see you getting better and vlogging.
MissLilyputt The kidneys are part of the urinary tract. They make urine.
So glad you are healing well; your perky smile and wonderful attitude are inspiring! May you be blessed with a rapid and complete recovery...you go, girl!
💕
Love you Amy! Hope you heal as quick as possible!
So glad you are back to blogging a bit and feeling a bit better. Did they fix your tube during your surgery? 💕
Stacey D no I’m getting it fixed in a few weeks xx
You poor thing. Hopefully it isn’t causing you too many troubles 💕
Amy's Life would love to chat on private message x

You look really good. I’m glad you are starting the healing process.
Your make up is beautiful and the incision is not bad looking. 💜

Your new shoes will be great because I’ve lost count of how many times either my feet have swollen, or I’ve needed the space for ankle/foot orthotics.
