I think our hot water bottles are smaller in the UK! mine is covered by 18 squares- made with DK and a 4mm, 24 would be too many...So I'm going to have to try and adapt this...eeek! It's so lovely, I've made my squares and I'm hoping for the best!

Hi, I would like to do one but I wonder something. Is the yarn enough protected of warm of the bottle ? Because most of covers are created in thick fabric or padding to protect us. And yarn is not thick enough. What is your opinion about that ?

Hi Mary, Thanks for your excellent tutorial! I've made one of these for myself, but yours is a lot bigger (I only needed 9 squares and a couple of extra rows of sc at the bottom!) How large is your hot water bottle? mine is 1.5 litres. I'm making one for a friend in NZ now and I'm afraid our UK hotties are smaller than Antipodean ones.Thank you!
