Lovely thank you so much! Super clear instructions, just finished using 1 ball of Hayfield Baby Blossom chunky and some random from my stash as I ran out before sl st together and the ribbing. ❤💐
I made it with a little modification on the back as my Granny looking for something to warm her hands as well, but its absolutely easy and clear to do it with you and I am very thankful for your work and help me 😅. ❤❤❤😊
If I want to make with one less bobble, would I do 2 less chain on foundation chain? I am using thicker yarn 7mm hook, so need to adjust. TIA... very easy to follow instructions, thank you
I can’t wait to get started! My only question is this: my wife likes her hot water bottle *hot*, so I’m concerned about using 100% acrylic yarn. Would you have any alternative suggestions for yarn type? Perhaps a blend with wool or similar instead?
Hello :) I also like the hottest water I can get from the tap in my bottle and as yet I've had no problems with my acrylic yarn cover. Just remember that boiling water should never be put in a hot water bottle as it may cause the bottle to perish quicker and increase the risk of it splitting. In regards to alternatives, sheeps wool is known for being fire resistant and does not melt from heat.
Hi! Thank you for this tutorial. It’s so well explained. I’ve made my panels and they are just joined together with stitch markers and I’m fairly certain my hot water bottle won’t fit. I just tried to fit it in and it’s popping stitch markers. The pieces are narrower than the bottle. When I google it though it seems a pretty standard size hot water bottle (I thought I could just buy a smaller one to fit this cover). Should I go around the edges of each piece with single crochets to widen them before stitching? Or any other suggestions? 🥲 thank you!
@@CosyRosieCrochetthank you so much for replying! I think I’ll finish the pattern as intended and find a smaller hot water bottle, then maybe make another one with a longer starting chain as you suggested to another person who commented. 🥰🥰🥰
@@CosyRosieCrochetjust letting you know I found a smaller hot water bottle in a store right near me that fits like a glove - 700ml. So I just finished the cover and going to test it out tonight! Thanks again.
Hi, i have a question,. At the end of row 5 I have not 14 single crochets but 13, and 10 slip stichets, Is that normal ? At row 4 I have 10 berry stitches so for me it is normal that I have 10 slip stitches because they are done on top of those berries... THank you for these tutorial!!
You would need to adjust the beginning chain to the length you need - the stitch multiple is 2, plus 1 for the foundation and 1 for the chain. In the video the starting chain is 24 = 22 for the stitch patter, plus 1, and 1 extra to work into the 2nd chain - hope that helps :)
Thank you 😊 sadly, I can’t control where the subtitles are placed as the positioning is determined by RUclips. I do try to avoid that area where possible.
Just completed my first hot water bottle cover!! Thank you for a very well explained tutorial!!!
Glad it helped!

You are so welcome! I just know they’ll love their gift 🎁

Fingers crossed you can get more yarn 😀

Wonderful! Did you add a little pocket for her hands?
@CosyRosieCrochet yes, just plain back and your design 2x pattern fir hands 😁 Thank you for inspiration 😘
My first crochet project. I’m so happy with it.
I’m so pleased 😄
This is beautiful and the video is so easy to follow, thank you
You’re welcome 😊 Glad you enjoyed it.
i made it a bit bigger for my waterbottle and it worked so well! 😊
Fabulous! I'm so pleased it worked out!
Could I ask how you made it a bit bigger? I’m about to start this project but I only have size 4 yarn and am a nervous about it not fitting
@@cutefidgety i just did more chains in the beginning

That's correct - reducing the starting chain by 2 will reduce the number of bobbles. So pleased you find the instructions easy to follow

Best to use 100% cotton yarn

Adding a few rounds of singles would work very well to add some extra width. So pleased you enjoyed the tutorial ☺

Just in time!! Thank youuuu
Just what's needed for the cold weather
Love this!!! ❤
Thank you ☺️
What size litre bottle does this cover? Love this! ❤
The finished cover is 22 cm x 30cm (8.5" x 12"). Hope that helps 😊
Thank you!
Started this today in white and it’s looking lovely!!
How would I go about making this larger as I have a bigger water bottle?
You would need to adjust the beginning chain to the length you need - the stitch multiple is 2, plus 1 for the foundation and 1 for the chain. In the video the starting chain is 24 = 22 for the stitch patter, plus 1, and 1 extra to work into the 2nd chain - hope that helps :)
I’m not sure I follow this.. so let’s say I want to add two or three more bobbles, how do I go about this in the foundation chain?
Very nice tuto but i think you shoud put the subtitle up in the video so that we can see your fingers.
Thank you 😊 sadly, I can’t control where the subtitles are placed as the positioning is determined by RUclips.
