This is great idea! It took me a bit to fully understand the cabling but understand now. 1/2 way done. The pattern is not on your blog that I could find. Thanks though for the video! Very helpful
@@MayaLunaCorazon I finished mine and looks nice. I did alter your neck though. I extended it so that it is folded down sorta like a turtleneck. 😉 It's really cute project though. While I have quite a few years behind me crocheting, I had never done cables. This really looks nice and was great learning project.
I tried pattern but couldn't follow it, but the video definitely helps, just a bit blurry. Pace is just perfect, you fast forwarded at the repeat section. This is the first time I'm making a hot water bottle cover, also a twisted treble crochet. I started making a pretty bottle cover before this but got confused and undid it. I think I will be able to follow yours. I normally knit. But sometimes I like crocheting, much faster.
Just made your hot water bottle creation. Thank you so much for your stunning pattern🤗 I've never done a treble stitch before to create cable's. Your tutorial was easy to follow along and your free pdf a gift to us crafters. Be well and stay blessed 🌟
Oh, I saw this crochet piece on Instagram next to the water bottle, did not realize they were supposed to go together. lol. I thought you preparing us for a new crochet piece that would give us a headache to make. Gee did I have it wrong.
Hey thanks for your video. I made a baby blanket in this pattern last year. Usually I felt the bottle covers. Can you tell more about your yarn? I was told to only use cotton for this cause of the heat. What is your experience?
I don't have much experience in this at all. This is my second one. The first one I used cotton mixed, but I like this one even more. Somehow it gives a perfect feeling of warm. 💖💖💖
She is going thru all the top loops (so if you look downward on the top of project you will see a V for each stitch. The V is made up of the front side facing you and the back side which is away from you. When you look at the project from the front you also see a type of V on each on each stitch. Slip your hook into the hole there so that you can draw up both sides of that top V). the half double crochet and only the front posts for the cabling. You can also Google how to chain stitch as well as half double crochet stitch. I've always found pictures easier to follow than videos when learning new stitches.
I'm somewhat of a beginner, and was confused about where you're supposed to stick the hook into for the different stitches. I slowed down your video and went back to look is not clear in your video and you don't explain it either. I had assumed it was into the back of the stitch, and then I saw you doing it into the front of the stitch (so I thought, on the second row), so I changed. I thought I had copied you correctly, but I didn't know you are supposed to go *underneath* the whole stitch for the half double crochet and now it looks wrong. I've had to unpick the whole thing and start again. I had to look up another video to find this out. So frustrated! And also, when you are chaining on, does the first loop count as one? Also what happens at the edges is confusing and it looks messy. I don't know whether to count the loop on the hook as the first stitch or is the first visible stitch *after* the loop on the hook the first stitch? When you turn the work for a new row, are you supposed to move your yarn somewhere?
First loop on hook never counts. If you don't know a stitch it sometimes helps to just Google it since there can be stitch movements step by step. I've been crocheting for about 40 years but this was my first time cable stitching. Gauge is always key. I don't like swatches much. I would rather take something out a few times. I recently did color pooling which totally thru out all rules. Was fun though. Keep practicing. You will get it ;) When turning work, I tend to do my turn chains before I turn the fabric, and I move the yarn over so it is on same side (my left since I am right handed crocheter). Just lift it up and over to correct side of hook.
I hv just completed making one and it has come out very well...Thanks for the tutorial
Yeah!!!! 🥳
I just completed this. Really nice. Thank you
Happy for you 🥳✨

Love it,can't wait to make it :)
Jihuuuu!!!!
Love this cable stitch. Could tell the stitch count if we use 4.5 mm hook please.
You need to understand the gauge swatch and it's better to have the same gauge with the pattern 🏵
It looks so beautiful! I tried to go to the link to download the pattern but is not available.

Are you going through back loop only in each stitch?
Which part? It is exactly the same as video showing you. Maybe, go back and have a look again.

Are you going to be posting the pattern on your blog page? I think I figured out the panels but don't understand the top bit.
At the moment, no pattern on the blog but you can watch the tutorial here.
Thanks You ❤
You are most welcome 🦋🦋🦋
What is the width of the yarn used?
Thank you very much for this video!! It can be a good gift :)
