Great video Luria! In the Level 3 category with an Alienware R11 spec’ed for video editing - I am not a gamer but was bored with the Dell XPS line. No shortage of ports :P You definitely need that processing power if you are livestreaming and recording on your PC at the same time.
People on a budget wanting to stream should look at hardware alternatives like the "Atem mini pro" as that is way cheaper then upgrading a PC and more stable and can handle 4 sources with no effort and great mixing posibilties.
Hi thx for the effort you put in. I have a question does more CPU cores matter for streaming? I mean is a 8 core CPU better at streaming than a 6 core? Cus the extra cores can handle the stream while the others handle like a game?
I'm so glad this was helpful for you! 🎉 Hope that maybe you'll be able to stop by and say hey during one of our live streams someday! (Friday at 10:00am PT) 🙂
Thank you for the excellent information. I believe that my PC is at least adequate for now, but my issue is not enough ports. Should I get a hub or a dock or something else. I've tried 2 different hubs, with less than stellar results. The HDMI out doesn't work on either. Brand and model numbers appreciated.
I dont understand I have a rtx3080 with a i7 cpu 11th generation 8 cores and 16gb of ram and my stream lags and I lose fps when I live stream with a single pc.
I'm starting out with commercial livestreaming with the maximum of 4 camera inputs via a switcher which comes into the computer as a single source. With low budget, I'm considering getting a used laptop with GTX 960M or Quadro K1100M, 16GB RAM and 500GB+ RAM and not less than 4 Cores. The systems under consideration are Dell Precision M4800 and Lenovo Yoga700. People are saying i will be short of performance. Please for a start, are these specs not good enough?
@@maqkaipresta-thompson5977 absolutely no. Using it specifically for livestreaming. Camera inputs via a switcher, load media contents such as photos and videos, lower thirds and overlays and basic streaming activities using vmix.
Bringing in that many cameras is very demanding, so yes, that system will struggle. You might want to consider starting off using whatever system you have now and keeping the stream very simple - one camera, one mic - while you save up for something with more power. What streaming software are you using/thinking about using?
@@LiveStreamingPros if you can note, i am bringing those numbers of cameras into a switcher which goes as one input into the computer. With that i think i reduce the load of jobs on the computer. I want to use Vmix over OBS. I love everything about it from my training.
@@EkeminiJacobs for any computer that does anything besides casual online browsing I honestly would not recommend anything that has less than a 1650 súper or equivalent gpu, 16gb RAM, 6 core 12 thread cpu. The systems you mentioned above will certainly struggle and won’t last you in your use case. I know this comment is late, hope it helps
I was looking for video like this, end up buying Mac M1, Just do 1 Live stream in a week and talking head with 1 camera. I was interested to buy a PC as I heard PC would be better option, Being Mac user for year, I end up buying Mac M1. But this would have been very helpful, I saved in Library, so If I will ever buy a Pc just as dedicated machine for streaming, I know what to buy. ( Hopefully Graphic cards prices will be back to normal again).
Graphic cards are definitely on the expensive side. Fingers crossed that those prices go back to normal 🤞 Thank you Zain! The M1 is still an amazing choice 🤗
If you are buying a new system for your live streaming, you'll want to go with a "gaming computer" because live streaming is *very demanding* on your computer and gaming is the closest to that demanding level. That said, around here we are firm believers in using what you have and save up for what you'd like to have later. This may mean keeping your stream on the more simple side, but that's totally ok! You've got this!

The computer is one part of the puzzle - your internet bandwidth, etc. also face in, but that combination might work! You'll just need to run some testst to find the right settings for the streams you want to do. Let us know how it goes! 👍

I am helping my girlfriend buy hardware for her PC and she wants to stream not-heavy games such as Rainbow Six Siege at 1080p. I got her a 1060 3gb (What I could get), she has 16GB RAM and my question is: Is her CPU enough? She as a Ryzen 3 Pro 4350g, which has a Quad core 3.8GHz.
It depends on what software she's going to use to stream, how simple/complex she wants her stream to be, etc. The nice thing about PCs is how easy it is to upgrade later if needed!
Hi, I know this is a video 2 years but if u see this and u r free to answer pls do. ive Ryzen 5 3600 6-core processor 3.59GHz, GeForce RTX 2060 6GB, and 16 GB Ram on my PC, should I be able to stream fps game such as counter strike? In-game ive solid 100-200 fps. My internet: 285.6 Mbps download speed and 27.4 Mbps upload speed. But my video is lagging when I record in OBS (Recording quality same as stream), for example.
There's no single answer - it depends on how complex your streams need to be.... The best way to tell if your system will work is to test it. You can use one of the tools that offer a free trial, stream to your platform of choice, and see how things go! 👍
i will not lie ,, I have a C i5 3rd gen amd Gtx 560 se i can easily record games like Gta v and all other games for my gaming channel i have done 3-4 streams as well small games can be streamed with little lag , but big games can't run that nicely
I have a new laptop with a 3060 graphic card and ryzen 5800h and i have an old laptop with an i7 4th gen with a 950m graphic card. Will i be able to dual pc stream/record gameplay?
Using both of them together should work, then. The other things that you'll need in place are a good internet connection, and software to manage your stream. For PC users. We highly recommend vMix!
