The slight rework of the mimihagi temporarily replacing the soul king scene has improved the writing of the arc in a tremendous way. It establishes the fact that the Almighty is not 100% OP and can definitely be bypassed by other forces in a certain way. That point was vague in the manga but was solidly and explicitly established and emphasized to us and the characters in the anime. This properly enables the anime to come up with an improved plan to defeat Yhwach in the final battle. Also, Chad, Ganju, Yoruichi and Orihime actually playing an active role against Yhwach as a team. Chad landing a punch on Yhwach was so satisfying to see. Just that alone has redeemed him so much in this arc.
In the tybw manga, it was stated that Ukitake uses more reiatsu on his body then for other things like his captain duties, it's also stated that he has more reiatsu then a post unohana training kenpachi, yes with his eye patch on, but still eye patch kenpachi is a monster, has he cut a giant Gerald arm off, I see why Kubo nerfed bro the whole series, so a prime, no illness jushiro would be way stronger than shunsui, maybe a rival to shikai Yamamoto
Ukitake can’t possibly know he’s going to hell Shunsui didn’t even know they were sending them there and Shunsui and Ukitake are the same age. I can see Unohana knowing she’ll be going to hell though since she’s a much older captain than the both of them.
Shunsui said it was a rumor that Captain class Shinigami get sent to hell when they die... so he did know about it but didn't know if it was true till it was proven true when the Gates of Hell opened.. either way by performing the ceremony "which alot of people didn't know about but he knew about" he was pretty much chancing it that they'll get sent to hell after
This episode nailed it. Ukitake’s well deserved send off. They could have shown how Aizen found out Jushiro was the host of Mimihagi since both were highlighted this episode. Ukitake took Kyoraku’s advice and made a cute girl his lieutenant
At least through death Ukitake is finally free of sickness 😌. This also means, we'll get to see a prime Ukitake... Finally see the other person Yamamoto hyped up with Shunsui. Will possibly see friends become enemies, crossing swords. Kubo said he'd also like to see it, Shunsui vs Ukitake... The buildup would be hype.
@@ShelbyCrowley-b4g Jushiro himself wasn’t really sour about it. He could still become a soul reaper and have a good time. For a few centuries he lived in peace and could take care of his family.
Mimihagi treating Jushiro's illness is always interesting to me because being the right arm of stillness it didn't actually have the power to cure him of his illness. It just had the power to stave off the effects of the disease, so it didn't get worst. This makes me wonder what would have happened if he was able to receive treatment from another part of Adonyeus . What if he was able to pray to Pernida ? Would it do the opposite and accelerate the disease because it's the left arm of progress? Or would it Evolve Jushiro's body to where it was strong enough to fight of the disease?
@@undeade.t7044 that’s a very interesting question. Though you got to keep in mind that Pernida was rewritten by Yhwach as one of his elite guards. The Quincies we were introduced to would never listen to anyone’s pleading nor do them a favor. Mimihagi acted more out of charity than a bargain when Jushiro’s parents begged for the life of their child. It understood their tears and feelings and decided to help. Even though Ukitake still was reduced to his sick lungs. He couldn’t have been more grateful. Ukitake still made the best out of it. Became a soul reaper and laid down his life when the situation called for it.
The thing with the stillness is that it also makes Ukitake's disease incurable even if a cure is actually discovered. Since Mimihagi possessed it to remain "still" in its state, it won't get worst, and it won't get better
The reason why I don't fully buy yet that Ukitake and Unohana is referring to Hell when they say we will meet soon. Is that in the Hell arc even "Shunsui" is only learning that it is a fact that the captain level shinigamis I'd being sent to hell when they die. Prior to that, Shunsui only ever thought of it as a very old "folktale" or rumour. Ithey are probably more so metaphorically saying that they will meet each other in death. It's just that the irony that they actually ended up meeting each other in hell. Yes it is a nod to the hell arc and a wink to the readers but I am pretty sure the characters themselves are not aware of the truth of the Captain Konso reisai.
It’s possible that, just like how he didn’t buy the story of the “fallen soul king” parts, he knows of the superstition of Hell but does not buy it, while Unohana and Ukitake are more firm believers.
One of the best ep of Bleach. I am not the biggest Aizen fan, so I was invested in all the Ukitake part of the ep, his brotherhood with Shunsui and Unohana. Give me more of that.
The thing is most of new gen manga always try to copy their predecessors. So difficult to find manga which bring different and originality. Also some mangaka tend to prefer childish, teens character, bad outfits design without any progression . They are too afraid to bring maturity
Great episode. Seeing Ukiake and the fash backs was very nice. But I also really liked how the did the call back to the fight with Kien and Rukia's reaction to what was happening to Ukitake. Her emotions must have been going crazy. So far this cour hsd been amazing.
Yeah, I think people jumped the gun with this one. I think they are more so just talking metaphorically and it is more so an irony that they did in fact ended up actually meeting in hell. Still trying to work out the link between Saizo Sakahone, Sakahone (the Rukongai district) and Jushiro. I didn't realize until this episode that district that Ukitake is from is Sakahone, but now I'm curious how often young Jushiro came in contact with Saizo...if ever, but he knew Yamaji and Unohana, so i would assume that Jushiro and likely Shunsui would at least have some acess to them. Ugh, I really want more information on them.
Regarding Ukitake's home in the Rukon: we don't know where he lived, but he is described as lesser nobility so we wouldn't expect him to live in one of the more impoverished outer districts. When he was dying at age three his parents took him to the shrine of Mimihage in Sakahone the East Rukongai's 76th district. The next scene where he's older may take place in Ukitake's (unnamed) home District and not Sakahone.
Hey rebirth I have a couple of questions If the seals limit the range of Aizen's reiatsu to himself, how does his spiritual pressure end up filling the entire muken? Did aizen remove the seal on his ankle and left eye by himself? If yes, why does he not remove his other seals? Why can't Aizen leave muken without the key? Does this mean he cannot transverse universal level distances or is the muken in an entirely different space time? Did Ukitake fight for his honour as the vessel of mimihagi and protector of Soul society while Shunsui to protect life? Does Ichigo cutting down the soul king after his quincy side was called unto, and also not being able to let go of Yhwach's sword signify that Old man Zangetsu is on Yuha's side on this matter at least?
nah i don't think yhwach stepping in muken made him fall under perfect hypnosis instantaneously and no i don't think that he was speaking with reiatsu either

How Yuhabaha can absorb that powerful hollow power within Ichigo along with Quincy power. Absorption of quincy power from Ichigo is understandable. But that hollow power had completely blended with Ichigo's Soul Reaper powers and Ichigo's Soul reapers powers were not stolen. At what basis, I am saying that hollow powers completely blended with Ichigo's Soul Reaper powers? Well look what is Zangetsu? And look cared at figure of Vasto Lorde monstrous hollow form carefully who fought Ulquiorra. Well not fought, but played with Ulquiorra like Ulquiorra was a child.
Where did you get the idea that Shunsui is "leaps and bounds stronger" than Ukitake? Yamamoto states clearly they are equals, Kubo portrays as much and its never contradicted.
The fact that Yama chose Shunsui as his successor and not Ukitake definitely makes Shunsui objectively better in some respect in the eyes of Yamaji at least.
