Which of the Special War Powers was the MVP of the Thousand-Year Blood War? Who had the greatest impact? And if you could choose any character to be the 6th notable threat, who would you pick and why? Let me know in the comments!
6th spot goes to Yamamoto for sure, especially if he had both his arms and wasn't nerfed. 7th spot I'd give to Mayuuri for his ability to adapt to enemy plans. 8th and 9th spots I'd give to Kyoraku and Ukitake for their transcendent combat ability. 10th spot maybe could go to Toshiro, Byakuya or the god of the sword ?
Love the new video man great job I appreciate the time you take everyday to make us some content that we can drool over. Thank you Mr.Tommo you the man.
@@redred1952 urahara is smarter than aizen but aizen is ofcourse extremely smart in his own right. However, he is immensely stronger than urahara the dude was lonely during his whole fight with ichigo.
Agreed. In combat regardless of how much energy someone has doesn't matter. Or if they're a Shūnpo master. Or if they're a master swordsman. Or how devastating their Shikai/Bankai is. In the face of experience all that falls away. Experience is the best sensei. Very much like Lemillion & Sir NightEye taught Deku on MHA: after one gains an appropriate amount of experience & depending on how good their deductive reasoning is one can almost predict the flow of battle. Simply by acting in a way that forces your opponent to counter, but limits the counterattack options. All the other fighter would have to do is make sure they have countermeasures for each option at the ready. And when referring to experience it's a pretty tall order to go against someone who has at LEAST 1 million years experience. And that's BEFORE we even start talking about Ichibei BROKEN ability. Someone should call thr IT Dept. for all these hax. 😂
Ichibe is the direct most powerful opponent for Yhwach at this point, especially with Aizen (the only direct competition) being sealed away. Ichibe has so many different aspects that make him a threat, but most of them stem from how old he is. So, equating Ichibe's strength with his age, and therefore 'wisdom', seems the easiest thing to do.
Also Ichibei's spot is fitting given he's the personification of Soul Society's history, with him having been present during the Spirit King's mutilation and then carrying on the ancestors will. I'm sure his knowledge of the universe is widespread, including being privy to information even Urahara and Aizen lack, as crazy as that sounds.
Well correction, Sooh Zabimaru was the true name of the Bankai all along. Zabimaru just decided to prank Renji by telling him the false name of his Bankai. Otherwise, I don't think Szayelapporo would have stood a chance! Ichibei just gave Renji the authentic ID of Zabimaru's Bankai.
@@MashuSlyferiux Yeah but Renji's true Bankai feels like it is much easier to use than Hihio Zabimaru. It was like he was trying to whip around a freaking Steelix that shot off Hyperbeams! Soo Zabimaru only has the Gorilla arm that may be hard to coordinate. Attacks like Zegga Teppo aren't hard when it comes to aiming or orientation issues.
I think the reason Ichibei was the "Wisdom" Special War Threat is because of his history. He was there when they utilized the Soul King to divide and stabilize the realms. He had intimate knowledge of the process and how everything worked. If anyone could create a plan to slow/stop/reverse Yhwach plan. It would be him. I mean, he planned on using Ichigo as a replacement for the Soul King had things not worked out with killing Yhwach. So that just goes to show his threat.
All of this, plus his powers require a certain amount of lived experience and wisdom to use expertly. Anyone less than Yhwach facing would be in real danger.
There are a few possibilities for a 6th Special War Powers (but only a few of them really lived up to the potential): - Majuri Kurotsuchi: He has massive knowledge on Quincys and their powers and he was the person creating an anti-Quincy-space before the second invasion. Also Askin didn't want to fight him either and he managed to take down one of the most powerful Quincy in Perneida - Shinji Hirako (and by extension the other Vizard Captains): They are Shinigami-Hollow-Hybrids which should protect their Bankai from being stolen and their Hollow Powers should have given them some advantage against the Quincys as they are weak to Hollows - Orihime and Tsukishima: While unsure if the Wandenreich was aware of Tsukishima and his powers they definitely knew about Orihime and her power to rewind time which should have made her a prime target for elimination -Yachiru Unohana: Yhwach has seen her fight 1000 years ago, she hasn't lost her lust for battle she chose to supress it and she is (after Orihime) the best medic - Yamamoto: as stated in the video - Kyoraku (and to some degree Ukitake): Kyoraku and Ukitake were both stated to be extremely powerful with some flaws holding them back (Kyoraku was too laid back and Ukitake was always sick). The only change between 1st invasion and 2nd invasion Kyoraku was his position and his attitude after Yamamoto's death and he still managed to force Lille into his holy form which all of squad 0 excluding Ichibei couldn't do - Ryuuken Ishida and Isshin Kurosaki: Ryuuken is known as "the last Qunicy" and the only one of their kind thats still alive and not part of their vendetta against Soul Society. He is shown to have crucial information about the Vandenreich and he is the one to create and deliver the Stillsilver Arrow. Isshin showed how strong he is in the fight against Aizen where he in combination with Kisuke and Yoruichi managed to overpower the form of Aizen that wiped the floor with most of the Gotei 13 Captains and the Vizards, Aizen stated himself that if not for the Hyogokyu he would have lost then and there.
Interesting way of looking at it. Mayuri definitely proved his worth several times through this arc. Shinji in my opinion definitely isn’t considered a worthy candidate. Ryuuken should have been more involved with this arc and actually defeated some enemies
you know the five are chosen by yhwach after observing the hollow-shinigami war from shadow. Aizen, ichigo, uruhara are the important player of the war while Kenpachi is pure strength and Ichibei had live before him. so basically all 5 are peoples that his eyes can't predicted
Urahara and Ichigo are the most threatening. Urahara with his extreme intellegence, a frigtening strategist weather in or out of the battfield, and his own abilites are amazing and pretty powerful. (And he managed to convince Grimmjow of all arrancar's to help fight). I include ichigo because I believe that Zangetsu is the greatest and most terryfiying Zanpakuto, now that Ichigo has finally come to know the truth he's defiently one to be feared on the battefield with his tremdously awesome defensive and offensive dual Zanpakuto. But I think the list of the special war powers are sensiblly chosen and perfect threats for the Quincy's.
Truth. You can say both are exceptionally powerful in their own rights but they also represent wildly different generations and viewpoints. Urahara is a genius but it's mostly lost on the fact that it's all about his curiosities, and before that it was simply to uphold a stagnant unchanging system that even Aizen called him out on. Ichigo on the other hand through his humble heroism helped others open up and initiate their own changes including Soul Society particularly after the war.
While Yamamoto had the strongest Zanpakuto, the true Zangetsu appeared not long after Ryujin Jakka was destroyed. While it’s not officially stated in the manga, Zangetsu might just be its successor as the strongest zanpakuto once Ichigo reaches full power.
@@iReiGNxxpeople also forget that true Zangetsu can unleash Gran rey getsuga tenshou... A normal gran rey cero can warp time a space and its why Aizen banned its use in heuco mundo by the Espada. Add that with getsuga tenshou and ichigo at full power? Yeah.... Ichigo has the mose powerful offensive Zanpakuto. Aizen has the most powerful passive effect Zanpakuto.
I heard that the Schutzstaffel could be the Quincy Versions of the Special War Powers Ichigo = Pernida - Both can evolve to reach their potential Kisuke = Askin - Both are intelligent and can counter each other's strategies Kenpachi = Gerard - both constantly get stronger Aizen= Lile - Both are immortal plus he can penetrate anything with his Gun Ichibei= Only Yhwach could beat him otherwise everyone else is dead Jugram might stand a chance but it's uncertain
@@NexxtTimeDontMiss Eh, that only works to some degree. Pernida and Gerard both have inherent power from the Soul King's remains, not from some plan of Yhwach's. Rather, I think that Yhwach having access to these powerful warriors of his own shows him the qualities he needs to watch out for in the Shinigami. So, because he sees parallels between his strongest warriors and certain Shingami, it causes him to treat them as the '5 war powers'.
Special war power 6 Mayuri Kurotsuchi his ability to low key hard carry. From identifying the quincies, creating a hollow army, resurrecting the zombies including several captains, contributing to stopping bankai theft, saving Kenpachi's life, and defeating one of the quincy's most elite guards.
He becomes a Soul, but due to his physiology and training, he won't be a lost soul hunted by hollows, he will immediately respond in rukongai or something with murky thoughts till he is found or something triggers his mind again. Ginjo is a prime example and Xcution.
@@marshal8358 That's the Gist but it could become more complicated. I see him joining the Gotei but, Due to his nature as a hybrid, I can also see Central 46 having a problem with this and wanting to keep checks and limits on his power. Also which division would he join ? Would he have to work his way up starting as an unseated officer if no high ranking positions are available
@@SmoothBlk He already has history with the Gotei 13, so it’s not likely that they’ll treat him like a stranger. I don’t doubt that they’ll accept him immediately. Maybe he’d get the option to join Squad Zero but likely choose to stick with his friends in the Gotei.
I like Kisuke Urahara because he seems to know what everyone is thinking at every moment in the whole bleach story, which i think where his intelligence really comes from and to come up with a plan to counteract or play around it with allies, similiar to a chess grandmaster, and his attitude is so chill and troll sometimes.
“While I would say being unquestionably the ‘weakest’ of 5, Kisuke’s ability to predict, prepare for, and counter every eventuality makes him perhaps THE MOST DANGEROUS on the list..” This sums up Urahara perfectly. He is danger. Danger’s his middle name.
The Quincies having Gotei 13 dead to rights in terms of intelligence while the Shinigami had none in turn is pure but understandable hubris on the Shinigami's part . They thought they finished them the last time and the subsequent wipe out attempts. Ironic that Kisuke and Aizen shared this list yet unsurprising given their unique abilities and skills. Ichigo's willingness to break all norms to save others with his epic hybrid power including defying death itself sure makes his placement worthy.
Perhaps that's why Ichibei lost so easily, he tried to brute force it instead of applying any wisdom. Or he had already fulfilled his role in the training etc. My third possibility comes from the EU books, where he's the one that had the "wisdom and knowledge" needed to turn Yhwach into the replacement so he had the potential to undo all that Yhwach was trying to do.
His arrogance caused his downfall. He thinks it's enough to defeat Yhwach just by using his own power alone, where he should've use his knowledge & experience to turn the tide of the war into their side.
In regards to Ichibei, when you think about his powers and the fact that war potential status is based on being an unknown quantity, I think he was designated as a potential because of how he might be able to counteract the power of the Quincy to steal bankai. One of their main strategic assets was being able to do that, and they couldn’t account for how he might be able to counteract it. It just happened to end up that he didn’t do very much of anything in that regard. That’s the thing about unknown quantities. They might be zero. edit: as soon as I hit submit, I also thought of the fact that they couldn’t be sure how his power over names might interact with their schrifts.
About ichibei I think it's just about that he saw and knows about everything plus he's power over names . Also the fact that he helped the shinigami to power up that quickly due to his " wisdom " while the training
Kiske is so dangerous for a few reasons... Not just his intelligence, which makes him crazy like a fox.. but Benihime.. his bankai. He can alter the physicality of anything he cuts.. with Kiske's intelligence makes him nearly impossible to kill... allows him to tailor himself to be the counter to anyone.. he's pretty much the hard counter for everyone in the seretei...
I'd argue that Ichibei's Wisdom was put into affect when he brought Ichigo, Byakuya, Renji, and Rukia to the soul palace. Had Ichibei not done that, the second invasion would have been the end of Soul Society.
Ichibei deserves major credit for training the kuchikis, renji and ichigo for sure. Ironically the quinces not only failed to see the potential in Byakuya, Rukia and Renji, but they also failed to recognize the twisted brilliance of Mayuri, and just how incredibly successful Kyoraku could be as a commander.
If I were to add a 6th member, I'd say either my uncle Tsukishima or Ukitake. The former's Book of the End was able to counter The Almighty, and the latter had ties to the right hand of the Soul King which was able to evade Yhwach's vision. Both things that I could see Yhwach consider as troublesome when preparing for the war.
Ukitake got done so dirty 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️. Not a single fight. You’d hope this would change in the anime but it will largely be the same. Tsukishima has a broken ability but he really lacked involvement due to kubo being rushed
@@Dr.HooWho uryuu was right in the hands of the quincies though, i'd say ryuuken ishida is more suited to be the 6th than his son, considering he was able to make the one thing that stopped yhwach's future altering abilities
Late to the discussion, but regarding Ichibe's wisdom, he's the one who decided to go down and grab the fallen Shinigamis who upon their return were massively powerful and the one who decided to prepare Ichigo as the replacement. You could say that it was this decision that saved the soul society. Not only that, had it not been for the awakening of the all mighty, he actually did defeat the Quincy King in the first place.
The 5 Special War Powers. 1. Kenpachi Zaraki for his combat skills. 2. Sosuke Aizen for his enormous spiritual powers. 3. Ichigo Kurosaki for his growth rate. 4. Kisuke Urahara for his genius intellect. 5. Ichibē Hyōsube for his immense wisdom. Can you imagine if these 5 actually teamed up?
Fair point . You can roast me saying for saying but I wish 4 of the animes change or add on was 5 war potentials vs Sk.Ychwach with ( The All Mighty) and Yamamato stolen Bankia in all.
@@Ascension455 Fair . But it would bring even greater ratings for the anime. Especially if kubo approved for any new changes or rearrangements for the anime that's all . Appreciate your kind response though.
I'd argue that Ichibe's wisdom was shown in healing and training Ichigo, Rukia, Renji, and Byakuya in the Soul Palace. Arguably, it would've been an absolute curbstomp if all captains and lieutenants received that training, too, but perhaps, it's their bond with Ichigo that makes them trustworthy of that power-up; they'll only use that power to protect, not for frivolity, nor for revenge, not to oppress
I think shunsui is extremely underrated and was the sleeper war threat. Him using everything at his disposal to win the war even if no one agrees with it
The reason Yamamoto isn't a threat isn't out of spite. It's because he's not an unknown. Yhwach knows how powerful he is, and because he's gotten soft, he isn't capable of the same ruthlessness that would make him unpredictable. Thus, he can be planned around. As we see happen. The old Yamamoto wouldn't have become reckless and blinded by grief by the death of his subordinates like Chojiro and the carnage Seireitei was experiencing during that first invasion. He would take it in stride and retain his ruthless edge. And who knows what kind of cold and even cruel strategies he would formulate at the cost of his subordinates to ensure victory. Power alone isn't enough to become a war POTENTIAL. Otherwise Unohana and all of the 0 Division, Shunsui and Ukitake too possibly, would be counted among them.
One thing I think is crazy that people understate is that Zaraki has INSANE durability when his Shikai is activated. I don’t know why it’s only apparent then; but the feat of surviving the VACUUM OF SPACE. I mean need I say more? He not only survive’s the vacuum of space but then cuts the fabric of space/time with his shikai. ??????
And some people say he would lose to Pernida 😂. Pernida never beat him. Kubo save Pernida by giving Zaraki the poison. So that he cannot unlock his shikai to beat Pernida
People say Zaraki is overrated. How can he be overrated when since kid he already stronger than first Kenpachi lol. Wayyy stronger than overrated Shunsui bankai. Kid Zaraki is stronger than Prime Unohana. Prime Unohana is strongest captain at that time
@@Manusia.satu1uhh dude Pernida definitely would have killed kenpachi with ease. Kenpachi’s brutal style and pernida’s nerve abilities are the worst match up. Kenpachi got too reckless and lost his legs
Ichibei Wisdom was shown when he intervened and came and got Byakyuya Renji Ichigo and Rukia because he could have just Unohana deal with it. But he chose to do it and make them stronger knowing they would be useful AND they needed to allow Zaraki to become the strongest. His foresight was knowing what was required and even planning to put pieces in play that flip the board. For instance You don't take renji he doesn't get the boost or his bankai and Mask kills more people Rukia being taken and getting her Bankai helps deal with one of the most broken Quincy that was causing havoc and frees up Byakyuya to deal with others (while getting his Bankai back and buffing him for later which helped with Girard) Taking Ichigo allowed him to unlock his true power which lead to him eventually ending it with the help of Uryu Aizen Renji (again being useful) and others. Could he have taken more? Yea but they wouldn't have had time or been useful. He needed the ones that were gonna flip this thing around when placed on the board. His preparation helped Uruhara plan more effectively which helped get Zaraki going, and eventually set the stage in the final battle. If you go do a series on what happens if he doesn't come down with the Royal guard I think you find the Soul Society gets slaughtered. Renji and Rukia went from LTs to mid level Captains surpassing their Captains original strength (even if he got stronger)
Kenpachi is probably even more dangerous than we have seen. Gotei 13 forbidden any further training of Kenpachi as they were afraid that they wouldn't be able to stop him if he goes rogue. This means that they considered Kenpachi to be powerful enough to be able to face combined might of entire Soul Society.
@@drarsen33 he was mistaken obviously. Kenpachi. He only beat Gremmy due to plot. Gremmy could just imagine he was dead or that his bones were made of cookies and just left him like that.
@@Sukuna1983 Ah yes. Guy who's power is omniscience is probably wrong. Everything that happens in Bleach happens due to plot, since it is written. If Gremmy was written to be more pragmatic he would have done it, but he was prideful and hence tried to break Zaraki and failed.
I think Aizen is the Mvp dude really gave Ywach a run for his money in the final confrontation and did so many effortless things to show why he was soo much of a threat and is almost on par with Urahara when it comes to contingency and knowledge. If i could choose a 6th memeber id probably pick Toshiro because of his unused potential, or I would choose Uryu because of him playing a pivitol role in taking down Ywach and his potential as a Quincy.
Urahara is an interesting one because he is undoubtedly the smartest and most strategic character in the Bleach universe. His ability to predict events, prepare for them, and react appropriately is critical to the war effort. However, he needs others to use in order to make has skills really effective. He stands alone as the single member of the list who needs others to truly be powerful while the remaining 4 are monsters in their own right.
If I were to add a sixth it would have to be Mayuri. You could argue that because of his similarity to Kisuke there is little point to that, but I would argue it's precisely because of the difference in how similar they are. Sounds weird I know, but in Mayuri's case, his resourcefulness and unpredictability stems from his psychotic nature and lack of moral boundaries. The fact that he modifies his own body and zanpakuto make it hard to pin down what he can and cannot do. Then there is the whole issue of how important his contribution was towards the war effort. Finally, Mayuri has no boundaries. If there is something that Kisuke would hesitate to do or disregard because of it's moral implications, then Mayuri had long since done it and at twice as controversial rate.
I'd argue Ichibei knew what could happen to the 3 realms the moment Yhwach absorbed the Soul King. If any remember, after he was defeated by YH he even stated "That's alright. It's what peace is all about. You don't have to kill Yhwach; only stop him." From the moment YH absorbed the Soul King, he had already damned himself and Ichibei knew that; having been around from the very beginning. The added plus is his "Ichimonji," which can literally negate/rewrite/reformat any and everything.
I think ichibe bringing ichigo to the soul palace to have him reach his full potential sooner was pretty wise as well as having ichigo call his name there may have been more to that and he said he “borrowed some of ichigos power” maybe he shared some of his “wisdom” with ichigo to give him the understanding to use his hollow quincy and soul reaper powers in the final fight with ywach. I always felt how he said he borrowes his power was weird and didnt really explain everything.
I wonder what a prime Kubo could've delivered, in terms of story telling. His sickness really prevented him from thinking plots through and planning ahead effectively. Stuff like urahara not being acknowledged, uryu not being foreshadowed properly, Ichigo making it to the soul king only to be blown back down again by uryu and start us all over on the climb back to ywach, and especially ESPECIALLY that dues ex Silver Arrow bs.. I would have been okay with a combination of ichigo teaming up with aizen to stop ywach. Or Ichigo and Uryu killing ywach, with Uryus "A" schrift being able to negate Ywach somehow and then Ichigo dealing the final blow. It is speculated after all that the only reason Uryu survived auswhalen as a child was because of his innate schrift "A" rejecting Ywachs attempts to steal the power. This could have been explored and then it wouldn't feel cap and Uryu would feel on the same power level as Ichigo as they tag teamed Ywach, Naruto and Sasuke vs Madara style.
The arrow in concept is actually pretty cool with the way it was constructed and what it does but I hope that it gets foreshadowed and built up better by the anime, which should be possible. It is what it is tho
I completely agree with everything you said and I was truly hoping the anime would be very different from the manga due to how it was rushed. It always bothered me how ywach gave Uryu such a broken power knowing Uryu wasn’t loyal to him. I always figured ywach was going to try and steal his power somehow but it never happened. Big plot hole there
I would place Urahara at the top for several reasons but the main being his intelligence followed strategy, knowledge and wisdom. The man practically lives in deception by acting silly, has a cloak that masks his energy, mastery of unarmed combat, an interestingly unknown zanpaktou and also a hidden bag of tricks. If not for Ichigo being the lead character, Urahara story will make for a fantastic manga series on its own. 😅
I think that ichibei's "wisdom" played a role in awakening Ichigo's potential as well as the ability to make a new soul king and render the entire conquest null.
Ichibei uses his knowledge to bring Ichigo and his team to train. Teaching them more about themselves and their powers. This allows them to destroy their enemies. Indirect.
This might be reaching, but I think the best example of Ichibei's "Wisdom" we see in the arc was when Squad 0 came down at the end of the first Invasion. Presumably it was him that made the decision and also him who decided who to grab for healing/training. The ripples from this then go on to change the entire course of the war and directly to a Shinigami victory.
I do have to wonder what other individuals might have been considered as potential Special War Powers before being discounted for one reason or another (like Yamamoto), as I'm sure that Yhwach considered a great deal of individuals before eventually settling on his 5 final choices.
Probably Orihime due to her healing techniques Mayuri since he's smart but under By a margin because of Kisuke Unohana due to her mastery of the sword and healing capabilities
It depends on if Yhwach ever intended to specifically have 5 powers or just adds/subtracts them arbitrarily. My theory is that Yhwach took the strengths of his strongest members and looked for Shingami that embodied similar power sets. The evolution of Pernida coinciding with Ichigo; the raw power of Gerard coinciding with Kenpachi; the immortality of Lille coinciding with Aizen; the intellect of Askin coinciding with Aizen; the overall capability of Jugram coinciding with Ichibe, also with Ichibe being the only one with direct counters for the Balance and/or Almighty that Jugam possesses. So, it's likely that Yamamoto was a war power for similar reasons to Ichibe (with him losing that 'wisdom' being the reason Yamamoto was removed) and likely the previous Kenpachi were considered to be there as well. We know from the Light Novels that two other Kenpachi were considered absolute powerhouses as well, only being overshadowed by Kenpachi later. It's possible Unohana was one until she became dedicated to healing instead of fighting. Likely even Ukitate was considered a possible war potential due to Mimihagi, with only his sickness holding him back. I'd say Mayuri... but Kisuke has existed longer than him and Mayuri has been in an observable position until just recently, whereas Urahara has been able to avoid Quincy surveillance easier in the World of the Living. Nimaiya, having access to so many Zanpakuto as well as being unobservable within the Royal Realm was also likely considered a possible war potential at some point as well.
i personally strongly believe that both ichigo and zaraki were by far the most threatening special war powers in the entire arc simply because of how unpredictably vast both of their potentials and combat prowess can really go. We still don't even know if either of em ever truly reached the absolute peak of their powers against the other sternritters and also given the fact that both of them at their absolute max, were still learning their capabilities of a new bankai and shikai, it just goes to show that there's possibly no limit to these 2 absolute freaks of nature and they could've definitely taken down more of the more broken schutzstaffel had they actually had more time to master both their shikai and bankai imo.
When Kenpachis body can handle the power of his bankai and develop it, maybe he will gain full control of his demon form at some point. There’s not many people in bleach I want the smoke with less than Kenpachi if he ever gets that broken
exactly, theres especially alotta idiots out there who desperately think that ichigo and kenpachi arent strong enough or damn near invulnerable against hax abilities like haschwalts "balance" or gerards "miracle" even in just shikai, and the display weve already gotten from kenpachi and ichigo even back when they both didn't even have shikais was enough to kill or incapacitate several far more powerful enemies in the series as well. Kenpachi and Ichigo are both literal part demons who have almost limitless power and their bankais hopefully will rectify just how truly unstoppable they are at full power in the second half of the tybw anime.@@ianharrison5758
Not sure if Ichibei's actually responsible, but his "knowing the true name" & wisdom could manifest in him teaching Rukia her Bankai. If that's within his power - teaching true Bankai to anyone who can pass the other trials - that'd set him as a support War Power much like Urahara. Not that he's presented that way, so it's just a guess on my part
Aizen also balances between attacking and support War Power just because of his raw reiatsu/kyoka suigetsu whereas the 2 biggest heavy hitters were Ichigo and Kenpachi
Urahara standing right there on the battlefield and managing not to attract attention sounds like a very Urahara thing, but I think a likely explanation is that the special war powers were ranked by level of threat, and Ichigo was the higher ranked threat. They barely managed to hold Ichigo up, and ultimately failed to stop him or steal his bankai, if they had tried to divide their attention between Ichigo and Urahara they would have been trounced handily
I would qualify ichibe's "wisdom" as his name abilities, considering that they stem from him knowing the true name of everything in the soul society AND exerting control over the truth of that knowledge. Where kisuke has knowledge and can prepare for just about anything, Ichibe is nearly omniscient in the world of Bleach. This is a truth that is so ingrained with that world, that if something changes in Ichibe's mind (specifically through his name abilities), then it changes in reality. It makes me wonder if things would simply be erased from existence if, hypothetically, they were erased from Ichibe's mind.
Im so glad you pointed out the fact about Ichigo and Urahara being in Hueco Mundo at the same time but the sternritter seemingly invading soul society early only because Ichigo was busy. I have always wondered why that is and came to the conclusion (just a theory) that although the 5 special war powers are threats in their own separate rights, i always figured that their lvl of threat corresponded to their number placing as said threat. Especially since Kenpachi had his number changed after he was initially defeated.
This is head canon, but I believe Ichibe was probably the one who elected to bring Rukia, Byakuya, Renji, and Ichigo to the soul kings palace-possibly because he saw that those 4 had the greatest to gain from the special training of the zero division. And if so, that would mean Byakuyas new found strength, Ichigo’s awakening of his true zanpakto, and Rukia and renjis new Bankai are a product of Ichibei’s wisdom
But then it begs the question why not also bring kenpachi. I mean I get we needed that history with Unohana and the revelation but still you can’t deny what kenpachi would have been like if he actually trained with the royal guard
@@gammafrost I think Kenpachi can gain more from finally gaining his zanpackto, bankai and all that. I will admit that maybe training with the Royal guards would have amped Kenpachi enough to be able to control his strength In his bankai from the very beginning. Idk tho that shit was demonic
Ichibei was the one who decided to bring Ichigo and Renji to train with squad zero wasn't he? He knew everything there was to know about Ichigo and how to draw out his full potential AND how to make sure he didn't join Yhwach. Renji's Bankai was also impactful in the war and Ichibei knew that. That's why they were the only ones taken to heal and train.
All five of them together would most likely give Ywach trouble. The question is how to get past his almighty ability and kill him without the silver arrow
I keep saying it. We deserved a fight between soul king ywach and all 5 war potential. That would have been epic. Urahara using his Bankai to enhance everybody’s power would have been sick
Very true an that’s hard at a time that bleach is hot an everyone is making videos about it but you have been here but I am a fan that has been with you for a long time as well I can actually say a few short years now but none the less the last couple of years am I’m proud of you keep up the amazing work
I'd say Ichibei's wisdom could be experience, but could also be what Yhwach views as wisdom - his willingness to do the unthinkable to preserve the soul society, such as turning Ichigo into the new soul king. Which on the flipside is something that he believed Yamamoto lost at the end
Got to remember, gremmy could literally alter reality with his imagination, Kenpachi overcame that with raw strength alone, to the point where remy self-destructed trying to imagine a being greater than Ken. He also was one of the few who could even touch gerald, who kept evolving and was basically doomsday. No one else could really handle those two like that. Kisuke is batman 😂
I always thought Ichibei’s wisdom was sort of a nebulous term for his almost sage-like abilities, wisdom then representing an ancient sort of divine judgement-type power like his Zanpakuto
Their ranking could be easily be about how much information they have. Zaraki being #1 could him being the first to be identified/most info they have about him. As such ichigo being the "head" would be a result of his growth being unpredictable
I feel like the sixth war potential is Uryu. The only person who could actually defeat Ywhach without the use of the stil silver because he can use the Antithesis to reverse and take Ywhach's power ups. Uryu could quite literally steal the Almighty and then use it against Ywhach. Insanity that Kubo never elaborated on this further with him and relegated him tk shooting the plot arrow
I wholly agree on this and distinctly recall Ywach referring to Uryu as a war power when recruiting him. All because Uryu's latent Antithesis ability is strong enough to go against Ywach's Almighty, which is why Uryu is treated as being the same rank.
@@osito966Bro he didn’t even win the one fight he used that ability in. Stop wanking Uryu. Yhwach gave him that power for crying out loud. Every power he sees with the Almighty cannot be used against him without his consent.
I think Hitsugaya is the obvious choice for the sixth member of the group. His age and untapped potential, probably outstrips every other member of the captains. I always felt like he was written as a young opposite Yamamoto and an inevitable Captain commander within the next thousand years
@yuanlatina8258 yamma couldn't since his pride held him back if he had asked for help he would've been the 6th member hell he practically is since only ywach could've defeated him
If ranked, 1. Urahara for sure since he's literally the strategist for the entire war. His impact literally changed the tides of the war. 2. Aizen - tbh if he did more, he could've outshined Ichigo and took the MC from him. He even only used his reiatsu for the other sternritters and it alr affected the whole war. Also, the clever switcheroo at the end made Ichigo deliver the final blow. 3. Ichigo - one man army, hybrid of 3 powers with unlimited potential, and he didn't even used his true bankai yet and 1v1 ywach and bust his ass. If ywach didn't absorbed the SK, his knees would've been busted. 4. Ichibei - didn't use much of his wisdom since Urahara took command of the commander pos and mostly went for the shinigami fight. His impact is through informations, like he informed them who Ywach rly is, Training for the shinigamis sent on 0 Squad, its more of the small things/intangibles. 5. Kenpachi - he tanked the sternritters before they could deal more damage and urahara could do his things for the war. He is basically the initiator which took on almost everything before they got ready. PS. 4 and 5 could be switched since their impacts are almost the same
A few things to expand on here: Ichigo's potential also comes from the fact that he's still alive. Shingami have extremely long lives, which also means they have a relative slight curve in power growth, but Ichigo's humanity allows him to progress at their own arts faster than them. This also goes into the fact that the Quincy are able to spend hundreds of years observing each individual Shinigami, learning everything there is to know about them; they don't have the same luxury with a kid whom has spent only a few years actually fighting. With Kenpachi, it's not just that his strength is incalculable, but rather the fact that it's so straightforward. Other Shinigami rely on Kido or Zanpakuto abilities to make up for their lack of power (at least in comparison to Kenpachi) which means all the Quincy have to do is counter those abilities. Bleach has shown that sheer power can negate hax, so with Kenpachi being the literal embodiment of pysicality, the only thing the Quincy can really do t beat him is just be stronger than him. And, while the Quincy are certainly lethal, it has very little to do with direct combat strength, meaning most are not equipped to handle a direct confrontation with Kenpachi. When it comes to Ichibe, I think it doesn't really come down to 'wisdom' so much as it is the combination of ability, power, foresight, hax, and everything else he has, all which stem from his age. Wisdom seems to be the catch-all term to describe Ichibe's overall presence, "with age comes wisdom," and all that. Plus, Ichibe is the only one with actual knowledge and contingencies for Yhwach's ultimate goals, including insofar as having Ichigo and Yhwach himself as replacements for the Soul King.
I feel like people don't realize HOW BIG of a deal it is for Ichigo to be able to escape Quilge's jail ability. Like...without his latent powers he would have been trapped there for a great while.
If I had to guess, Ichibei’s “wisdom” showed itself through Ichigo in his understanding of Zangetsu’s full power, such as learning Getsuga Jujisho. Ichigo probably trained with Ichibei in order to give his new powers a test, even if it was “off-screen.” (New anime content maybe? Ehh?)
If the Fullbringers played a larger role in the TYBW arc I think Tsukishima would’ve been a potential 6th Special War Power. His Book of the End would be an interesting counter to the Almighty.
Fitting that the 5 individuals that the Son of God was the most wary of, all fill roles that would thematically make them his natural enemies. Ichibei, the Mad Monk that embodies a twisted take on Buddhism. Kenpachi, a Demon/Oni Berserker. Aizen, the fallen Angel/Lucifer figure of the story. Urahara, the Mad Scientist who created artificial life/a orb with mystical powers (Dr. Frankenstein/Paracelsus). And finally Ichigo, the one born through the machinations of the Lucifer-figure, with the power to slay even the Son of God himself. The Anti-Christ of Bleach. And as honorable mentions, the Ishida family fills the role of Judas, ensuring the Son of God's downfall through the use of a silver item. And Yama, the user of Hellfire. Wonderful use of symbolism by Kubo with Yhwach and his most significant enemies!
I think I slightly disagree with your interpretation of why Yamamoto wasn’t considered a Special War Threat. I don’t think it was because he was so strong but Yhwach just wanted to denigrate him, I think it was that despite his overwhelming power, he had become so predictable that it was easy to plan around Yamamoto’s strength. That is one throughline with the special war powers, the Quincies feared them not just because they were powerful, but because they didn’t know what they could do to them next. Yamamoto simply doesn’t meet that requirement.
@@dinomoney2142 In my opinion Yhwach pointed that out not because it was a huge nerf and more because it pointed to the less ruthless mindset that Yama had taken on. I agree only a two-armed Yama could beat Yhwach just not exactly because he didn't have enough reiatsu. Mindset issue not skill
The hardest part of beliveing Ichibei being a threat is how little he ended up being. Granted, when Ywach finally fought him he was already über, i still feel that Ichibei didn't carry himself even as strongly as Zaraki.
He 100% did carry himself like that the only person he fought was the strongest character in the series and he was still demolishing pre almighty zaraki didn't have as good as a showing as ichibie Noone could ,the only other person that comes close is possibly yamma with his bankia vs Loyd or Aizen vs ywach
Ichibei literally bodied pre awakened Yhwach. No one else could even touch Yhwach not even Yamamoto. Awakened Yhwach was defeated by bad writing not by any character.
Is it just me or did Yhwach simply mark those 5 guys who were all a threat to seretei on their own? Ichibe - the strongest in all seretei. Zaraki - the most feared in all seretei. Aizen - the one who defeated all of seretei. Urahara and Ichigo - the guys who beat Aizen
its not that at all. Yuha based his list on the power of the mustache. Ichibei was just an example of what happens when you let the facial hair grow. Was too late to stop him in that regard, but the other 4 definitely needed to be stopped before they grew one themselves. To give context, Ichibei was weaker than me on a sunday morning, but look at what growing his facial hair allowed him to become.
Yeah its as if the list was made by the central 46 xd they of course feared Aizen and Kenpachi; also they stupidly made Urahara leave the 13 squads. They kept an eye on Ichigo so they feared him. And probably they are concerned of Ichibei's power.
Kenpachi’s body and mind needs to get used to his banki since he hasn’t unlocked it very long after he uses it, he got that much more powerful that his body/bones started to break from having so much raw power. It will be interesting to see him in the future where his body is strong enough to use it at 100% and see if he’ll be in control of his mind to a degree and not be out of control
Yeah I didn't notice that Quilge or other quincies would've bought up earlier that Urahara was a war potential I suppose it intuitively makes sense, so I treated it as a given because Kisuke is that guy As for the 6th member it was either Mayuri or Oetsu for me Mayuri makes the most sense because he apparently had this Quincy research from back in the day
The Quincies data book indicated these five but clearly underestimated SS in general. Lets start with Shunsui. While having a laid back personality, he became quite the capable leader and made all the necessary decisions to in order to win the war. Releasing Azien, bringing forth Zaraki's potential, challenging C46 to name a few. Yes, Urahara is batman. Therefore, I'd say that Mayuri is Iron Man...they clearly slept on his brilliance and it cost them. He saved Toshiro. He saved Kenpachi. Yea...he is approaching MVP status. Zaraki has the highest raw shinigami riatsu potential. That didn't mean others also didn't have potential to develop their overall powerful. Taking Byakuya, Rukia and Renji to the Royal Realm was a master stroke as these 3 also had unrealised potential which turned them into powerhouses of varying degrees. The Quincies didn't account for that. Renji annihilated Mask who was defeating Visored Captains. Rukia's bankai is dangerously good. Byakuya defeated the 2nd most Quincies (all high captain level). Even more amazing is that he fought them simultaneously. Toshiro's reveal also wasn't noticed or accounted for. Now he has hax abilities... I do wonder would that 4 sec freeze all functions work on the almighty like the arrowhead did? Hmm food for thought. The following could be added: Shunsui - leadership, Toshiro - hax, Mayuri - inventions & modifications, Byakuya - versatility.
I think the reason Aizen's Bankai, Kyoka Suigetsu, wasn't registered as a potential threat is because of just how secretive he was about its functions. Other than himself, only one other entity knows how to break the perfect hypnosis and that was Gin Ichimaru. I believe Ywach also vastly underestimated Perfect Hypnosis because even though he recognized that Aizen had managed to confuse him during the original invasion, it wasn't until his duel with Aizen that the true nature of Perfect Hypnosis was revealed when Aizen said "So you see me as Ichigo Kurosaki." Perfect Hypnosis is "perfect" because it doesn't rely on Aizen's knowledge or thoughts, but the victim's. Whatever command is given through perfect hypnosis, the victim's mind will do whatever it can to fill in the blanks no matter how convoluted.
@@dalhster No, Aizen's bankai was issuing a command for perfect hypnosis, that would then be applied to an area around him. His shikai just didn't transform as part of that. He even admitted that Ichigo's immunity to his bankai had played in important role in defeating Ywach.
@@dalhster No, it's confirmed to be his bankai on the fact that the ONLY Captain to not have Bankai capability was Zaraki Kenpachi. That was established very early on. There's also a severe lack of predecent for any shikai having that sort of ability. Besides, Aizen made an entire show of "displaying his bankai" to the leaders of the 13 Court Guard Squads, which was making everyone subject to the hypnosis in the first place. This was called out when his betrayal of Soul Society was revealed and Unohana confronted him.
@@azuredragoon2054 Again, you are incorrect, he showed everyone his shikai. It is NOT confirmed to be Bankai you cant iust make assumptions. Its literally not in the Manga, just even do a quick google search. He has not ever used his Bankai in the Manga or anime. PERIOD. There are THEORIES and pretty good ones, but they are just that, theories.
I think Ichibei's wisdom is really showcased in how he helps to unlock Ichigo's potential. He may also know about the arrow but we never see him act upon that so it's hard to say.
Ichigo has these 5 attributes as well If we really think about it Aizen-like spiritual energy Kenpachi like fighting instinct & his own latent ability These 3 are more obvious as these are more focused on. I think rest will come with age and also if Ichigo truly focuses on his Quincy side.
I would argue that Aizen seems to be the most "all-rounder" and has elements of each of the other four S.W.P. Aizen has intelligence like Urahara, and has contingencies upon contingencies (although not to the same extent as Urahara). Aizen has strength like Kenpachi (he was able to overpower Kommamura's bankai with a single slash of his sword back in the FKT arc). Kommamura is known for his immense strength in bankai. Aizen has knowledge/wisdom like Ichibei. He knows things that he isn't supposed to know. Aizen has vast potential like Ichigo. The hogyoku evolved Aizen beyond his shinigami potential, although in the current arc, it can be argued that he lost his evolved form.
@@nashs.4206 Actually the hogyouky cant take you beyond your limits. Aizens evolved form is lost. But in return aizen reached the final transcended state of his sword. Lile the final getsuga tensho.
The soul reapers need to put extra effort into hardcore training for lower seated officers going forward. Relying on just the captains and lieutenants all the time is just asking for trouble. No wonder the first invasion was such a slaughter. Everyone below 2nd seat was helpless fodder.
i think a great example of ichebe’s wisdom is training the other soul reapers like ichigo or rukia, and letting renji know the full name of his bankai. wisdom might not be powerful against the enemy itself, but can be powerful for the home team
The fact that Kubo didn’t include Yamma in this showed that he had already written him out of the story with Plot. Logically and realistically he could have defended soul society itself.
Yhwach does a pretty good job at explaining why he wasn't on the list. Yama got quite predictable with his stubbornness. Plus Kenny didn't have shikai or bankai when they made the list so having Kenny makes way more sense as an unknown variable
@@rtenl Aizen used the Hogyoku to gain that power. Ichigo is literally the main character who has plot powers. Ichibei and Yamma would actually be a decent fight. It could go either way depending on how it’s written. But those two are the only ones who haven’t had BS hax written to help them gain power. They have literally just been that strong.
I would have added Yoruichi due to her unmatched speed and the fact that she essentially becomes a thunder god. She is basically Kenpachi, but with her if you're too slow you're dead. I'd say that Kisuke is the MVP though. You could argue that he planned everything for better or worse. The only goal being victory. He's been that cold before.
Ichigo might be the number one threat because his soul reaper powers are directly related to the hollow in him. It was established that Quincy's have no defense against hollows.
Sorry to say this Mr Tommo i have deep respect for you and your content you literally make my favorite Bleach content but Royd doesn't call "Zaraki special war power number one" you can hear it quite clearly in 23:33 of chapter 5 of the TYBW anime he calls Zaraki "*one of the special war powers*" 特殊な戦力の一つ NOT "number one or first of the special war powers" 特別な戦争権限の最初のもの now i'm not very good at reading Kanji yet but i can understand Japanese when its spoken and the anime wich was supervised by Kubo this time is making it clear through the voice actor that "Zaraki is one of the" not "number one of the" as some of the manga translations were wich through the voice actors we can clearly see that it was indeed a case of bad translation
@@kanoreese1253 the Viz (and other) manga translations have been wrong plenty of times for plenty of mangas the Japanese VA made it clear and they have a written script that came directly from Kubo himself through the manga ( *in their native tongue* ) and got revised by Kubo in the anime script so there would be a need for two mistakes made by the TYBW Anime team and one by Kubo for Viz to be right also other non Viz manga translations have actually translated this in what the TYBW Anime team considered to be the proper way to voice that line in again *their native tongue* so it all points to that Viz translation to be wrong

I mean, I respect your opinion but, your comment is inaccurate...fyi in the novels Kenny is basically transcendent, if you doubt his potential.
I would put Kyoraku Shunsui and Kurotsuchi Mayuri both in this list! They each took out one of the big four and had immeasurable impact on the war overall. But I think part of the reason why the Shiniamis won is that the quincies didn’t anticipate so many other members of the Shiniamis have growth potential and are much stronger
There is also the fact that Kubo-sensei kinda pushed aside Vizards being kinda part Hollow where it could have played a part on the Bankai-stealin but it didn‘t
Which of the Special War Powers was the MVP of the Thousand-Year Blood War? Who had the greatest impact? And if you could choose any character to be the 6th notable threat, who would you pick and why? Let me know in the comments!
Can you do TYBW aizen vs TYBW ichigo? I wonder who would win
It was Zaraki without a doubt. If he didn't destroy that meteor everybody would be dead. End of the war! Period!
Aizen may not have achieved Bankai with a fear of being hell ound. With his shikai he could convince people he did achieve bankai

And he’s ruthless as well
By Ichibei's wisdom, I feel they are talking about his experience. He's as close to all-knowing as anyone in Soul Society. He's seen it all.
Well... he literally named everything in the Soul Society. All things that exist in the Soul Society exist because Ichibei bestowed a name on them!

He also helped shinigami like Renji, Rukia, and Ichigo get stronger.
All of this, plus his powers require a certain amount of lived experience and wisdom to use expertly. Anyone less than Yhwach facing would be in real danger.
There are a few possibilities for a 6th Special War Powers (but only a few of them really lived up to the potential):
- Majuri Kurotsuchi: He has massive knowledge on Quincys and their powers and he was the person creating an anti-Quincy-space before the second invasion. Also Askin didn't want to fight him either and he managed to take down one of the most powerful Quincy in Perneida
- Shinji Hirako (and by extension the other Vizard Captains): They are Shinigami-Hollow-Hybrids which should protect their Bankai from being stolen and their Hollow Powers should have given them some advantage against the Quincys as they are weak to Hollows
- Orihime and Tsukishima: While unsure if the Wandenreich was aware of Tsukishima and his powers they definitely knew about Orihime and her power to rewind time which should have made her a prime target for elimination
-Yachiru Unohana: Yhwach has seen her fight 1000 years ago, she hasn't lost her lust for battle she chose to supress it and she is (after Orihime) the best medic
- Yamamoto: as stated in the video
- Kyoraku (and to some degree Ukitake): Kyoraku and Ukitake were both stated to be extremely powerful with some flaws holding them back (Kyoraku was too laid back and Ukitake was always sick). The only change between 1st invasion and 2nd invasion Kyoraku was his position and his attitude after Yamamoto's death and he still managed to force Lille into his holy form which all of squad 0 excluding Ichibei couldn't do
- Ryuuken Ishida and Isshin Kurosaki: Ryuuken is known as "the last Qunicy" and the only one of their kind thats still alive and not part of their vendetta against Soul Society.
I agree with this and like your explanations
Incredible list. I absolutely agree with it too.
Interesting way of looking at it. Mayuri definitely proved his worth several times through this arc. Shinji in my opinion definitely isn’t considered a worthy candidate. Ryuuken should have been more involved with this arc and actually defeated some enemies
Lol take shinji off that he’s not that powerful to be considered a threat to Juha and you’d also have to put all the vizards there with him
you know the five are chosen by yhwach after observing the hollow-shinigami war from shadow.
Aizen is also threatening too
While Yamamoto had the strongest Zanpakuto, the true Zangetsu appeared not long after Ryujin Jakka was destroyed. While it’s not officially stated in the manga, Zangetsu might just be its successor as the strongest zanpakuto once Ichigo reaches full power.

The Quincies having Gotei 13 dead to rights in terms of intelligence while the Shinigami had none in turn is pure but understandable hubris on the Shinigami's part .

You cooked
Yeah but not ichibe alone but yeah the most of it
Ichibei deserves major credit for training the kuchikis, renji and ichigo for sure.
Nah I'd say uryu

They would decimate everyone in their path

*While still wearing the eyepatch*

For instance
You don't take renji he doesn't get the boost or his bankai and Mask kills more people
Rukia being taken and getting her Bankai helps deal with one of the most broken Quincy that was causing havoc and frees up Byakyuya to deal with others (while getting his Bankai back and buffing him for later which helped with Girard)
Taking Ichigo allowed him to unlock his true power which lead to him eventually ending it with the help of Uryu Aizen Renji (again being useful) and others.
He knew who the main characters were for sure
Kenpachi is probably even more dangerous than we have seen.
Gotei 13 forbidden any further training of Kenpachi as they were afraid that they wouldn't be able to stop him if he goes rogue. This means that they considered Kenpachi to be powerful enough to be able to face combined might of entire Soul Society.

@@drarsen33 He was written poorly. Are you going to acknowledge that Kenpachi would have lost to both Pernida and Lillie with bankai even?
I think Aizen is the Mvp dude really gave Ywach a run for his money in the final confrontation and did so many effortless things to show why he was soo much of a threat and is almost on par with Urahara when it comes to contingency and knowledge. If i could choose a 6th memeber id probably pick Toshiro because of his unused potential, or I would choose Uryu because of him playing a pivitol role in taking down Ywach and his potential as a Quincy.
Zaraki is not even about the Raw physical strenght but overall his fighting skills…he will never stop fighting…his pure fighting prowess is insane.
Probably why he wasn't noted in hueco mundo
No it didn't, hes just a shit writer and its as simple as that. The guy is a great artist but absolutely shit at story telling.
Big plot hole there
💯 I'm with you bro
I would place Urahara at the top for several reasons but the main being his intelligence followed strategy, knowledge and wisdom. The man practically lives in deception by acting silly, has a cloak that masks his energy, mastery of unarmed combat, an interestingly unknown zanpaktou and also a hidden bag of tricks. If not for Ichigo being the lead character, Urahara story will make for a fantastic manga series on its own. 😅
I think that ichibei's "wisdom" played a role in awakening Ichigo's potential as well as the ability to make a new soul king and render the entire conquest null.
Thank you! That guy didn't know what he was talking about.
Probably Orihime due to her healing techniques
Mayuri since he's smart but under
By a margin because of Kisuke
Unohana due to her mastery of the sword and healing capabilities
If Yhwach had known about Ukitake's relationship with the Soul King I wonder if he would have been considered a special threat
I don’t think he’d be cause ukitake is sick
Urahara standing right there on the battlefield and managing not to attract attention sounds like a very Urahara thing, but I think a likely explanation is that the special war powers were ranked by level of threat, and Ichigo was the higher ranked threat. They barely managed to hold Ichigo up, and ultimately failed to stop him or steal his bankai, if they had tried to divide their attention between Ichigo and Urahara they would have been trounced handily
Honestly dont think they even knew he was there…
I would qualify ichibe's "wisdom" as his name abilities, considering that they stem from him knowing the true name of everything in the soul society AND exerting control over the truth of that knowledge.
@@gammafrost
I think Kenpachi can gain more from finally gaining his zanpackto, bankai and all that.
Answer they can't, they need the arrow, otherwise yhwach eventually defeats the 5 thanks to the bullshit hax of the almighty.

I'd say Ichibei's wisdom could be experience, but could also be what Yhwach views as wisdom - his willingness to do the unthinkable to preserve the soul society, such as turning Ichigo into the new soul king. Which on the flipside is something that he believed Yamamoto lost at the end
This has great timing. I was thinking about the 5 war powers specifically yesterday.
Gotta love your breakdowns Mr. Tommo interesting yet soothing. This list was cool.
Antithesis is so broken Ishida is basically a god.

I think Hitsugaya is the obvious choice for the sixth member of the group. His age and untapped potential, probably outstrips every other member of the captains. I always felt like he was written as a young opposite Yamamoto and an inevitable Captain commander within the next thousand years
yamamoto, mayuri, shunsui can also be a 6th member
@yuanlatina8258 yamma couldn't since his pride held him back if he had asked for help he would've been the 6th member hell he practically is since only ywach could've defeated him
I always thought that the reason they never mentioned kisuke in hueco mundo was that they didn’t know he was there. He’s very good at hiding.
If ranked,
PS. 4 and 5 could be switched since their impacts are almost the same
A few things to expand on here:
Ichigo's potential also comes from the fact that he's still alive.
I gotta give it to you. When it comes to bleach material and the manga. You keep it consistent.
I feel like people don't realize HOW BIG of a deal it is for Ichigo to be able to escape Quilge's jail ability. Like...without his latent powers he would have been trapped there for a great while.
If he wasn't part quincy he would never get out
@@kjford587 we don’t know for sure if his jail would have persisted after he was killed, but yeah, it’s really the only way he was able to escape
Ehh?)
Like many people have noted, Ichibei's danger is in his ability to potentially create another Soul King, undoing the efforts of Yhwach
This is brilliant :0
I think you got it 😮
I think I slightly disagree with your interpretation of why Yamamoto wasn’t considered a Special War Threat.
Yama only wasn't because he didn't let Orihime bring his arm back😪
@@dinomoney2142 In my opinion Yhwach pointed that out not because it was a huge nerf and more because it pointed to the less ruthless mindset that Yama had taken on.

1:00 Daten is the german word for data, there are overall many german words in the quincy vocabular just pronounced or written wrong
Yeah I didn't notice that Quilge or other quincies would've bought up earlier that Urahara was a war potential
I suppose it intuitively makes sense, so I treated it as a given because Kisuke is that guy
As for the 6th member it was either Mayuri or Oetsu for me
Mayuri makes the most sense because he apparently had this Quincy research from back in the day
Mayuri deserves a spot as well my man carried the war:
- defeated 2 sternritters
- revived the captains
- solved the bankai problem
Urahara = Most Dangerous, Most Worthy of Being Feared by the Wandenreich, Lived Up to His War Potential the Most. - All 3
14:39 “He’s the man the with the plan” missed opportunity.
Kisuke is that guy.
Urahara, the Batman of Bleach.
The following could be added:
Shunsui - leadership,
Toshiro - hax,
Mayuri - inventions & modifications,
Byakuya - versatility.
All true except one thing, That is just his Shikai! No one but Tite Kubo knows what Aizens Bankai is.
@@dalhster No, Aizen's bankai was issuing a command for perfect hypnosis, that would then be applied to an area around him. His shikai just didn't transform as part of that. He even admitted that Ichigo's immunity to his bankai had played in important role in defeating Ywach.
@@azuredragoon2054 No that is still not his Bankai, and never releases his Bankai.. go re read the manga.
Ichigo has these 5 attributes as well If we really think about it
Aizen-like spiritual energy
Kenpachi like fighting instinct
& his own latent ability
These 3 are more obvious as these are more focused on.
One of the coolest thumbnails I've seen in a long time
The soul reapers need to put extra effort into hardcore training for lower seated officers going forward. Relying on just the captains and lieutenants all the time is just asking for trouble.
No wonder the first invasion was such a slaughter. Everyone below 2nd seat was helpless fodder.
every vice Capt besides Rukia & Renji, main characters lol, were helpless fodder in TYBW too tbh. & most of the Capts plain lost their bouts anyways
i think a great example of ichebe’s wisdom is training the other soul reapers like ichigo or rukia, and letting renji know the full name of his bankai. wisdom might not be powerful against the enemy itself, but can be powerful for the home team
@@d0m0b40 I get why he didn’t. But in terms of Raw Power. Yamma is stronger than all on that list. Except maybe Ichibe
@@nickstahhhh 💀
Aizen, Ichigo, Ichibei???
Very much a shame the special war potentials didn't all get together for the final showdown against Yhwach
Uryu and the war potentials should be at the final showdown 😭😭 with uryu and ichigo dealing the final blow.
Your videos butter my biscuits thank you
Video starts at 3:15
Ichigo might be the number one threat because his soul reaper powers are directly related to the hollow in him. It was established that Quincy's have no defense against hollows.
Sorry to say this Mr Tommo i have deep respect for you and your content you literally make my favorite Bleach content but Royd doesn't call "Zaraki special war power number one" you can hear it quite clearly in 23:33 of chapter 5 of the TYBW anime he calls Zaraki "*one of the special war powers*" 特殊な戦力の一つ
NOT "number one or first of the special war powers" 特別な戦争権限の最初のもの
now i'm not very good at reading Kanji yet but i can understand Japanese when its spoken
and the anime wich was supervised by Kubo this time is making it clear through the voice actor that "Zaraki is one of the" not "number one of the" as some of the manga translations were wich through the voice actors we can clearly see that it was indeed a case of bad translation
yup
Tommo is reading from the VIZ translation of the manga ch.505 pg.17, where Royd calls Zaraki"notable threat no.1".
@@kanoreese1253 the Viz (and other) manga translations have been wrong plenty of times for plenty of mangas
the Japanese VA made it clear and they have a written script that came directly from Kubo himself through the manga ( *in their native tongue* ) and got revised by Kubo in the anime script so there would be a need for two mistakes made by the TYBW Anime team and one by Kubo for Viz to be right
also other non Viz manga translations have actually translated this in what the TYBW Anime team considered to be the proper way to voice that line in again *their native tongue* so it all points to that Viz translation to be wrong
@@Force-Multiplier I'm not saying that you're wrong, just saying that's where Tommo is reading from.
@@kanoreese1253 thank you for that then
Mayuri and Urahara together must be almost impossible to fight against. Both geniuses in their own right and they complement each other so well.
You are fascinating to me! They you are able to dissect this show is unparalleled!
I'd argue Kenny was the weakest or least dangerous. Dude just has brute force and that's it, and during the war he just kept getting his ass kicked over and over.
He defeated someone who could warp reality.....likely one of the most broken powers ever.
@@desicus9689 Yet he isn't even in the Schutzstaffel
@@MCguy52 they kept him in a cage, I think that's more to do with seniority and favoritism. The group I won't attempt to spell because I'm drunk all also got 1 shot by 1 member of the royal guard before they got resurrected by plot
@@desicus9689 Gremmy was horrible. He had the power of imagination but unfortunately, he didn't have any imagination. Cause tbh, if used smartly or correctly that power could be quite unbeatable.
He only lost once post royd. He would have likely killed Gerard, had his bankai not overwhelmed him, and...well, his last fight he was beat up and matched against a someone who he wouldn't beat via brute force and no bankai.
Missed opportunity to have these 5 war potentials to verse Yhwach. That would have been a great final battle.
There is also the fact that Kubo-sensei kinda pushed aside Vizards being kinda part Hollow where it could have played a part on the Bankai-stealin but it didn‘t
@@kriscubero6778 Yeah the Vizards/Arrancar should have played a bigger role in the war.
I knew from the beginning that Kubo had no plan to have the 5 war potentials confront yhwach .
