The twins would've been huge with all the barbs in the new world. Although enslaving the natives and forcing them to fight each other would be a bit too on the nose.
@@thegreatestdane8978 Even that comment is misguided. The Americas (as everywhere on earth) had known many kingdoms, confederations, Empires and tribal warfare (Northern America less so with consolidated powers but plenty of violence to go around). remember, settling on ley lines if it makes sense is amazing, as you can't put anything (else) on them. also makes the adjacency for specialty districs 2.5 right off the bat.

They have that much food and production because in the early part of the game the forests burn and then regrow and they get +1/+1 every time that happens. I played Brazil and it happened something like four or five times on that map and I just steamrolled through the entire game because of it.
Hey Potato, I might have a cool idea for you with an under-used Civ: -Deity Science win on Huge Earth TSL map with Pedro -Atleast Secret Societies for Vampires, Apocalypse for Soothsayers (forest fires). -Rainforest Pantheon + Work Ethic + Science from Followers. -Burn down and then Preserve/ Vampire Castle-triangle the Amazon for MASSIVE yields (slap down a Chicken Pizza and Zoo aswell ofc) -Remove Simon Bolivar/ Pachacutie/ Lautaro from the Civ list because they will 100% ruin your plan. Or don't ;P
Believe me, man it is very difficult to lose playing Brazil on TSL huge map. They start near the Paititi wonder which is the most op wonder in terms of yields. Those early cultures and gold are huge. The only thing you need to worry about is the rainforest pantheon cause in deity AI gets it fast. If you can secure it is impossible to beat you in any category if you are a decent player. @@tanhabhossain4651 Yeah, I'm not going to argue that Brazil's starting position on TSL Huge Earth isn't good (assuming you don't get rused by Eagle Warriors or Bolivar Shennenigans), but having Pantanal next door isn't even in the top 3 of reasons ^_^ I Did a Vietnam game just before my Brazil game and Ha-Long Bay (definitly not a top tier wonder either) felt much more impactful.
As long as potato tries to maintain good diplomatic relationships with all the AIs, I'm willing to bet this will end up being an accidental culture win just because how strong monopolies are and how much land (with luxuries) you have. It will be even further boosted if Maui tries to makes more land luxuries.
Here's a fun way to a colonial game. Go for archipelago or island plates on low sea level, pick a good colonial civ, and start in the medieval era. Starting then means all new cities after your capital start with 2 population, which synergizes really well with hic sunt dracones for settling cities.
It breaks my heart every time you hover over a 10-turn Mausoleum and just ignore it. I feel physical pain every time xD But despite that: another great video, Potato, as always :)
Pretty fun that without barbs turning into city-states this pretty much relates to Europe enslaving and murdering everyone who lived in the Americas, this Spain game got way more relatable than I expected 🙃
I love like Potato completely forgot that he already had horses upgraded, destroyed by some disaster previous episode and only rebuilt them some 70 turns later as if they were never improved (obviously missing all those deals along the way) :D
I'm reminded you play WoW by your "another settler made it to the water." Playing less Civ6 these days because of the new SL update. Hope you are enjoying both games immensely. Thanks for the nice content, as always.

In my games it seems like as soon as I settle a city on a fresh continent or island, there's some strange Mario Kart rubberbanding where the AI has an insta-Settler ready to settle on the island I just found. It's really annoying. Bonus points if that happens to you and it's because of Portugal.
I think the lack of barb camps on the main continent was because a game can only have a certain number of them, and if enough spawn on the other continent, no on can clear them.
hey potato when will you have a yogcast livestream of civ 6 preferably where its a terra map and all of you pick naval civs to colonise the empty continent and have epic naval battles
