    Paul, you mentioned "working within" when at times athletes unconsciously perform at level outside their expectations.....F1 driver Ayrton Senna talks about the exact thing when he completed what is known as the "greatest lap ever driven"
    or "the lap of the gods" at Monaco !

    I heard about your book "How to eat, Move, and Be Healthy" years ago on Eliot Hulses channel. I finally purchased it last Summer whole working in Montana. The evaluations made me very uncomfortable, because I would say I am a "fit sick" person. I discovered how unfit I really was. I really am starting to be healthy. Thank you for all the info you provide. Maybe some day I'll try out to become Chek certified.

    Hello there Paul! Have you thought about making a blog about the Astral plane/OBE and or even about “who should take psychedelics”.
    I heard you repeatedly say that “spirituality is taking responsibility for what you create moment to moment. Once those effects fade you still need to go through the journey of self-responsibility.” I’m doing my best to paraphrase 😅. I really would love to know your thoughts on what percentage of the world based on your experience may benefit from psychedelics or is necessary for an “awakening”.
    Thank you Paul! ✌🏼❤️

      if you look for on youtube you will find great advice about Cold shower. Just go in your shower and let your body express it self. I have been taking cold showers for years and it is something as normal as walking for me. His partner made a video years ago with instructions for cold bath and cold showers. I hope you can find it.

    Paul hello again. I am back with a similar question because I am doing my best to not look at the world through a straw.
    I am currently looking at the gorilla page of your Scientific Shoulder conditioning course, but it only refers to rows and lat pull downs on the page. From what I understand Lat pull downs are a movement where the recruitment pattern is 180 degrees of Pull ups so I'm still not understanding.
    Is there ever a time when depression of the scapula before pull ups is safe and makes sense? OR do problems always occur with scapulo-thoracic and scapulo-humeral timing when retracting in any and all pulling movements no matter how healthy the pair of shoulders is and what the specific focus of that pulling exercise is?
    The specific examples I am thinking of are
    A. In order to avoid reliance on the subscapularis and instead rely on lats for a pull up as taught by Vince Gironda.
    B. For one arm pull up and chin up variations due to the extremely high intensity level.

    • @PaulChekLive
      @PaulChekLive  6 лет назад +1

      Hi, the only time one should initiate a pulling movement by retracting the scapula is if they in a therapeutic situation and the intention is to restore activation of the inter-scapular muscles so they fire in the appropriate sequence. That practice should be discontinued as soon as motor timing is restored, or you simply create a new imbalance in the recruitment sequence. As I shared, there is a lot more information on this in "Scientific Shoulder Training".
      It is wise to remember that many, if not MOST of the so called "experts" speaking about exercise have little to no depth of training in rehabilitation or the movement sciences, and are either throwing ideas out there to be "novel" or emulating what others say without the knowledge to differentiate sound information from potentially (dangerously) misleading information.
      Love and chi,
      Paul Chek

    Hey Paul, I was curious what type of movement and training would someone need to do for skateboarding? I have balance issues when it comes to my left foot(the one I push with and pop the board) more so than my right(used to kick out and flip the board). I remember you talking about training Danny Way and was curious if it's something that I could do on my own after taking the HLC level 1 course.
    I'm going to see one of your level 3 Chek practitioners tomorrow and was hoping that he might know why my ankles make a loud pop like a tree branch breaking when I wake up , and when I do weighted squats my hip joint on the front right side near my groin becomes sore and painful when I try to skate the day after(Which I don't do weighted squats anymore, just bodyweight)
    Thanks again Paul for all of the knowledge and being my and many others holistic Guru
    Much love,
    WIll

    Hello Paul. Im having trouble breathing and ache,soreness and tension in many joints but mostly neck,back and shoulders. When I try to plank now I cant get my back completely straight because the thoracic spine goes up in a little hump. My muscles feel quite weak and my little finger often goes numb as well as jolts through my elbow when I bend it sometimes. I saw a naprapat but the problems are worse than ever, should I go to a doctor? I did pushups to bring back a shoulder with a cracking scapula so maybe that disturbed the breathing but I have also struggled mentally for a long time so maybe it´s psychosomatic...Thankyou for your helpful videos, best regards.

    Thanks Paul and hello. I've seen quite a lot of people with loose skin after major weight loss and pregnancy. Is there an holistic way to regain tight skin? I know prevention is better than a cure but it seems to be a common problem these days. I've known men and women who had surgery but it didn't work as well as expected. Would a persistent natural approach eventually work and what kind of timeframe would it take? Or is tight skin impossible for anyone who has lost a lot of weight - loose skin seems to be more excessive the quicker the weight is lost and the more that is lost. Thank you Paul.

    hello paul a few questions! just watched your latest video by "barbell shrugged" and also 1-3 on fasted ways to health....epic to say the least! I'm going to invest in a infra red sauna and i looked up and saw you endorsed "health mate" as the optimal choice...im just wondering how your sauna is working out for you now that its been a few years and if you still endorse them or another company....
    Thank you....

      HI, I've really enjoyed my Health Mate IR sauna, but I've been told that the Clear Light IR saunas are better quality with higher technology.
      I haven't bothered to upgrade because mine works great for me, and there is only so much one can do in a day, so, for now I'm operating on the principle that "if it works, don't fix it"... If you want to get a Health Mate, they were offering a discount and free delivery anywhere in the US to those that are referred by me.

    Thank you so much Paul for all your great advice you give to the world!
    However I thought I could try and ask you about one thing my 10 year old son is struggling with.
    He has a bone cyst in his arm, its like a hole in the bone, like approx where the upper bicep muscle connects.. he has been having this problem for maybe 5 years now, broke it 2 times.
    The doctors first did nothing, just waited to see if the cyst gets smaller. After some time they saw that nothing happened, and they did some surgery taking some bone mass from the hip and injecting it in the cyst.
    After some more time they saw that it didnt help either so now about 1 month ago he got something called cementa injected inside his arm. Its a substance that is supposed to help it grow bone mass and it disappears after about 2 months. I dont know how it will turn out but now im wondering why this happens? Is it because of a bad diet? Radiation? Genetics?
    What can you tell me about this? :)

    • @PaulChekLive
      @PaulChekLive  6 лет назад +4

      Hello,
      There could be several causes of such a problem, as well as it being the result of a compounding of stress factors.
      You may want to look into using magnet therapy. There are a number of books describing how to use magnets to balance and heal, and you can find the magnets on amazon.com or at places that sell massage and acupuncture supplies. Here is a book that may help:
      Magnet Therapy: The Gentle and Effective Way to Balance Body SystemsSep 1, 1999
      by Ghanshyam Singh Birla and Colette Hemlin
      The two doctors I'd recommend you consult with are Bill Previte, D.O., an orthopedic surgeon I've worked with for over 20 years, and who has been my preferred surgeon for athletes; he has extensive knowledge of the most modern techniques for healing bone. This is the contact information I have on file for him:
      7525 LINDA VISTA RD
      SUITE C
      SAN DIEGO, CA 92111
      (858) 650-3030 PHONE
      The other doctor I use for functional medicine testing, who also has a lot of knowledge on bone healing and healing in general is Dr. Cliff Oliver. He can be reached at: 1-858-272-2333 or you can search for his web site on Google.
      For cases like your son, I can only give an opinion after a full evaluation due to the number of possible factors involved, but the above suggested resources can help you gain some good guidance and will be less of an investment than seeing me directly.
      Love and chi,
      Paul Chek

    Hello Paul, i was wondering how you contact and ask your Power Animals for guidance, i've discovered that i have atleast 3 Power Animals for the time being, (fox,deer,squirrel) and i was thinking if i got a question should i just phrase it and see who shows up in my consiousness or should i ask one of them directly?
    Blessings,
    Simon

    • @PaulChekLive
      @PaulChekLive  6 лет назад +1

      Hi,
      Call the power animal up in your consciousness. Connect to it as though it were there in physical form, just like you'd do with a pet, and then begin to dialogue with it. They can communicate in many different ways depending on your unique communication style. The key is to "empty your mind of your own thoughts" or all you'll be doing is "listening to your ego mind". Whatever arises while focusing your awareness on the power animal, be it a vision, inner-voice, or a sense of "knowing" will be the message to you.
      Most people haven't spent enough time in meditative states to learn to put the ego mind to bed, so a big part of the practice is learning to "get out of your head and into your heart" so-to-speak.
      Love and chi,
      Paul Chek

    Hi All. Is yoga working out or working in?

    • @PaulChekLive
      @PaulChekLive  6 лет назад +2

      HI,
      If any yoga activity increases your heart rate (above resting level), breathing rate, starts drying your tongue, or would be uncomfortable to do on a full stomach, it is a work-out activity. There are a variety of videos I've done on working-In here on my YT channel if you scan through or search "Work In".
