Sadiq Khan isn’t a corporate worker - he’s many, many miles from his responsibilities as Mayor of London where he’s trying to fleece drivers to prop up the failing Transport for London by introducing road charges way outside his area of responsibility in the name of saving the planet. Now he’s subsidising car purchases as drivers of older cars are hopping mad at the £12.50 a day roll for driving in London they will incur.

The architecture in Bristol is different to Birmingham - look at Clifton and redland. There isn’t more of a cultural difference necessarily but there is a big difference in landscape and setup
Bristol has some really nice landmarks and architecture. A student or someone who’s moved to the Bs1/3/6/8/9 areas will love it but a majority of other areas aren’t the best. It’s overpopulated and has had a large influx of migrants over the last 5-10 years. It’s expensive to live because of the economy/views/entertainment and the fact that it’s next to the m4/m5 interchange.l, a half decent 1 bed flat in the BS3 area will cost around £1200 in just rent. I’ve lived here all my life but it’s gone south over the last 10 years (much more so in the postcodes that I didn’t mention)
I think you missed a few zeros on those house prices haha! I live in Bristol and my 3 bedroom house (converted to 4 bedroom) cost £300,000 although the price has since doubled.

I have been in Bristol for 40 years, people are friendly, its a lovely city
bristol has more georgian architecture than a lot of places. you won't find a place like clifton in bournemouth or southampton
