    but the people of this country are peaceful and happy 😊
    I visited this Malaysia 9 times,
    Every time I go, my heart is at peace and it seems that all people are like my family I also want to move to Malaysia And I hope this dream of mine will come true soon۔

    Take out "UK" from the title and replace with "USA" and you've got the same set of issues happening - this seems to be the case in any western society/culture. Being a lifelong Californian, I can attest to the reality of these issues....especially the cost of living. My retirement is just 4 to 5 years away, SE Asia is where I'm headed. Until then, I've adopted more minimalist habits and investing every extra dollar to fund the next chapter in life.

    I can’t wait to leave, everything is literally braking down in front of your eyes, from children education to marriages where divorces are highest ever to crime & basic customer services. The country is turning into an open hospital, people are walking around with mental illnesses, loneliness, broken souls merely in a body, lack of sound family relationships let alone any family values… not to forget the rise of far right politics in Europe in general

    I studied in the UK and I can confirm that crime rate is one the things that always made me anxious. Even by walking on the streets you can get hackled for doing nothing by some thugs wearing track suits. Don't get me started on name calling and verbal abuse. The funny thing is they always call me "you damn Chinese" or even Japanese although I am a slightly darker skin person. I eventually realized that if you live near the council housing areas you are most likely going to face all those abuses. There is a lot of broken family and family with single mothers, so it makes sense.
    Felt so relieved when I return to Malaysia. Way way more peaceful.

      It may help to know that you could half your KL's cost if you lived outside , say Seremban , Melaka and you can stay home by tumpang makan , cater your food month long 5days a week. It's a Chinese thing culturally (but , I know two Malay shops(restaurant frontage) in Sri Damansara that does this , too. ie. halal.)(2 sets of tiffin each meal(minimum pax 2)so lunch and dinner requires 4sets tiffin , on you. Washing the tiffin is also on you.)(You leave the tiffin next to your front door , washed. He'll come around in his time to swap the set.) It's not advertised , ask around. To further avoid going out , the local , local grocer (the one who'll clean your fish? Not the modern grocers.) will also deliver on call , his time , what 30 , 45 mins radius for some RM2 or 4 per trip on given days of the week.(Indian sundry shops will also deliver milk , bread , stove gas , padi(rice) , lime fruit , banana , mutton , toilet paper , Milo , mosquito coils , chempedak(because this fruit keeps))? Outside of KL the van making a lot of noise is either a "recycler" , the gasman or a grocer. Or the ice cream vender !(This is "antropological " Malaysia , somewhat still is. ) Hope you make it to Malaysia ..

    Firstly I am not sure how the algo works, but somehow I ended up finding your video. Thank you for your insight. Secondly, I graduated in the UK, got job offers after graduation there. However as a Malaysian student with full scholarship, I chose to reject the offers and came home to serve my country as part of the scholarship requirements. Now that I have fulfilled my bond obligation, I am considering looking for a job there in the UK.
    The points you emphasised like crime rates, alcohols, stress, weather really made me think again. Now that I have a family with 4 kids, these things really weighs down the options. Things are not the same when I was a young student back then, and now as a father.
    Thanks for sharing your insight and have a good stay in Malaysia.

    In UK they do not tax you 40% if you eg earn 50k. They tax that amount AFTER the allowance, then around 20% then the remaining small amount at 40%. It is a progressive tax system. Tax can be reduced via the excellent pension schemes they have here. Crime is everywhere around the world not only UK. No country is perfect but UK is one of the richest and powerful countries in the world. The value of the passport is your proof. Why do so many people wish to still come here? Your living in Malaysia as a UK expat sister not a Malaysian or someone from the Indian subcontinent. UK can be stressful due to their high standards in many sectors. They have many top Universities here holding much value.

    • @ibrarchaudry3894
      @ibrarchaudry3894 8 дней назад

      Pension funds are becoming worthless, what about every other form of taxation going up and being introduced or added.
      Uni comes at a huge cost, £9k a year for home students just fees, being shafted by the interest above inflation which you end up repaying for decades!
      government and judiciary are too soft on crime, easier to target motorists! It’s all about taxation, public services being cut, reduction of police, NHS being run to the ground to make way for privatisation. MP’s more interested in making money through back hand bribes & being sponsored by big businesses!
      UK has indeed gone to the 💩 and no way it is coming back, it’s sinking day by day!

    Retirement plan for Malaysia iA 🤲🏼. Good video and v v v true! UK is no longer the place it was when I was growing up… not safe, no where to go, no outdoors, highly expensive when you go out, super taxes and no rest from working life! This is not a life , this is not sustainable
    A retirement in the UK would be a failure for me.

    My father has his Masters Degree at Uni of Sussex in Brighton in 1986-87. I had the chance to further my study there too, of course I was only 12-13 so its just high school for me then.
    Back then £1 is equivalent to 8 malaysian ringgit though I believe things were a lot cheaper compare to now.
    But UK was a more advanced country compare to Malaysia with many more motorways and, double decker buses (carry more ppl over the same footprint) and also the famous london underground.
    It wasn't that easy for us though, a family of 4 because everything would need a serious consideration for purchasing.
    If you have 500k pounds coming to malaysia, you would be a multi millionaire here.
    If 1 have 500k ringgit to go to the UK, that would hardly pass 2 years.

      I am sorry having to say all this but just having an education in the UK especially for those who came from Commonwealth Countries like Malaysia simply does not put you on a better footing to start a life in UK. Coming to UK as a visitor be it as a student or a tourist is a far cry from living in the UK full time. Sad to say but many from Commonwealth due to historical ties tend to have a romantic notion about moving to and living in the UK. It is NOT real- you will always be a foreigner and even if you manage to find work there and make a living, it will be much worse than being in Malaysia. 500K in RM after taxes in the UK will leave you nothing and on top it all you will never be accepted as a local no matter what you do.

      Isn’t happening - government and judiciary are too soft on crime, easier to target motorists!

      Malaysia IS that cheap, even compared to poorer nations like Thailand, Philippines, and Indonesia (because usually people said poor countries is cheaper due to currency, but Malaysia's GDP per capita is at least twice than those countries yet our prices are still lower). Our chicken (a staple, main protein due to Muslims and Hindu population) is half the price of that of Indonesia's per kg, our eggs are subsidised (in 30 packs per carton), our sugar is controlled (to the point Kalimantan smuggle them to sell in Indonesia), our fuel and cooking oil are cheaper that Thailand smuggle it in large scale while Singaporeans have gone viral so many times for acting like monkeys, literally dry humping their cars while filling up our Ron95 (because their logic is that by doing so, they get to load more fuel in the tank before heading home). Our private healthcare is also very competitive and international ranking has estimated savings of 65-80% compared to that of Western countries. Even Indonesians flocked by a million per year just for our medical tourism, a fact mentioned by their bitter president when he officiated new healthcare facility there. We also have stable infrastructure here, and you can easily Google how much do we pay for electricity and water (hint, still cheaper than all those countries mentioned before, and don't forget we don't have winter here so no hefty winter bills). You really need to listen to Saira without prejudice, i realise her background may not be that of the working class, but her sharing about financial aspects of Malaysia is quite spot on, doesn't matter which currency you decided to use as comparison (since Malaysia still wins anyway).

    • @nutzhazel
      @nutzhazel 19 дней назад

      It's cheap even for locals, as the locals mostly have their family homes to cut the cost of renting. cheaper fuel price, cheaper healthcare, cheaper education, of course cheaper food, etc. For example, for a single person in Malaysia with a basic earning, RM1 healthcare in government clinics or hospitals, lunch & dinner per RM10 (food with drinks), RM5 for fuel on motorcycle per 2-3 days, RM30 for unlimited internet mobile plan, RM100 for electricity bill, RM10 for water bills. So it's doable.
      Of course if you have family, you will have to work harder for your family, but most people have their own family when they have income stability or supporting family members 😊
