Just bought mine a couple of months ago after shooting with the first version. The photo transfer app didn’t work for me. It defaults to the Sony Creator studio app or something like that when I try to use it. Are you using an iPhone? Have you tried to phone transfer the original file size. I have the same camera bag!
No I didn't need that it's a insane process replacing the lens you have to tear the entire camera down 😩 justake sure you align it probably I was getting Af error when I realigned it I didn't get that error.

bet even tho you have a background in fixing things. you must have been nervous as hell being 1250 in the hole with a broken camra ... the releaf getting it to work would have have bean light floating on air. did you record yourself fixing it ? do you still use the rx100 vii after geting the RX1R II ?

Interesting video. I too have an RX1R2 and really love it. The one think I find a bit annoying is the noisy focussing. Do you find that with yours?

And I bought mine on eBay for $1500. No issues!
As for the app I use the old Sony app I connect manually old school style once your connect it down hill from there.

Lol it's crazy I'm right hand dominant but I do everything in action with left hand. I feel like I see better with the left eye 😂

Its the quality is really good. The experience using it is very pleasing.

lol i did record it unfortunately i formatted the memory card by accident 🤦🏾♂️ after getting the rxr1 i gave the rx100 vii to my lady
Very cool camera! I hope to get 1 in 5 years or so when it will become super cheap hopefully, for now it's still crazy expensive in the used market 😅
Yeah insane prices its a real dope camera.
At ten years down the line it is still selling at close to original market price.

Only thing it dose not do 4k I've never shoo video on mines.
The most annoying issue for me is the OOC JPEG color rendering which I think is awful. Especially the greens. Otherwise still a great camera to use.
I absolutely agree I have to shoot raw with this one.
Although expensive, the Sony FDA-EV1MK EVF adds extra quality, and versatility compared to the camera's inbuilt EVF.
