Thanks for the comparison. I like the way the kitchen smells after using the Mrs. Meyers but it's good to know the Method cleaned better in so many situations. What both companies need to do is to fully list all the ingredients. Just saying natural products is not enough for me. Still, I'm sure both products are way better health wise than traditional cleaners. Thanks again!!

I wasn't surprised at all. I've always liked Method over Mrs. Meyers. As much as I wanted to like it, I am not a fan at all. I've asked Grove to stop sending me free Mrs. Meyers products because I'm not a fan. Thanks for confirming!💚

My wife went through a Mrs Myers kick about a year ago and I am the one who cleans the bathrooms. I was so dissatisfied with the Mrs Myers. I actually used to have to follow up after the Mrs Myers with 409 on the counters, the mirrors with Windex, and Clorox in the shower and toilets. The bottom line... it is hard to beat Ammonia and Bleach products; just don't use them together.

  • @bunnybubbles3974

I loveee Mrs. Meyer's scent so much. I wouldn't necessarily use it for bathrooms or if I wanted to do a real deep clean- Clorox is always best for that- but I enjoy using their products for individual bedrooms and for the living room.

I've never used either but I've already gotten my order from Grove. I'll be going to Wal-Mart, Target and eBay from now on afterwards. They're both a bit cheaper on these sites and the only reason I bought from Grove first was for the free items 😁. Thank you for sharing but one thing I must say is that the Mrs. Meyer's is over all cheaper when you factor in that they offer a concentrate for their all purpose cleaner. I haven't researched if Method offers the same so correct me if I'm wrong (just don't be a ___ about it, commenters)😃

Mrs. Meyers is cheaper because you can buy the Concentrated bottle from Grove where you add it to your existing bottle and just add water. This will last forever. The bottle is huge & I haven’t even used it but once, it’s going to last me at least a year if not longer but great video. Thanks!

Mrs Meyers packaging isn't decorative. I would rather get the methods as it is more economical. And I don't know anyone who keeps their all purpose cleaner on the I counter all the time. I appreciate you comparing the two.

Great comparison. I like both, though I am more prone to Mrs Meyers. However, there is a lady on RUclips who does testing on a ton of products for cleaning (her channel is called Field of Focus). She tests for how well the products kill bacteria, she has a ton of videos on this. She tested both Mrs Meyers and Method for killing Bacteria. Neither of the products makes a claim to kill bacteria, but she tested anyway. The result: Method kills a good number of bacteria in most (not all) places she tests (including toilet rims etc) and Mrs Meyers excelled in all the tested areas. So for me, Mrs Meyers cleans better than Method at the bacterial level on various types of bacteria. However, Method does a good enough job. Just to add to the discussion, not trying to suay one way or the other.

I was one of the couple of us that said the Method left my counters sticky! I have no clue why but it really leaves them icky, maybe because they’re granite? And we have a glass stove top that looks horrendous with the Method. Ugh! But I still use it for my wet dusting and the kitchen table with no sticky icky afterwards. I also love the Antibac! The Method glass cleaner left my sliding door a disaster but my bathroom mirror with no streaks. Maybe it has to do with how clean the surface is? I’m so confused! Thank you for the video!!

I'm not trying to be personal... but cleaning METHOD is everything. There's no product on earth that will clean cooking oil off the first pass. Especially that much on a mirror. Any product would take two passes, or sprays. Then to properly clean a mirror, one must do a z pattern top down so as not to go over clean area with dirty rag twice. Glass and mirrors take a z pattern wipe, not swipe- re swipe, circular patterns. Can't judge a product unless the cleaner knows how to clean.

Hi Kristin, (sorry if I misspelled your name) I just subbed. I am writing this a year after you posted your review and wanted to share some feedback since I just started using both of these brands this summer and wanted to provide some general feedback on several experiences with both brands and different products within the Method Line. I found these by looking into things that were a little cleaner (no pun intended) for our home environment :) I am direct, so I hope you don't take any offense to my thoughts and I want you to know I appreciate your review and look forward to seeing more content from your channel. The formulas may have changed since your post, and new items may have become available since then. I don't think the glass test was a fair test since glass is tricky to clean in general and there is a specific cleaner in the Method line for cleaning grease, which most people would create in the kitchen environment, not their bathroom, near a mirror, and most would not use either product tested to clean up a greasy mess. I previously had a glass cooktop, and the best way to clean it was with a warm soapy sponge while it was still warm to make that task super easy). I could follow up after it cooled as needed with a cleaner made for that top. Additionally, the all-purpose Method cleaner is more of a glass type cleaner variant of Windex, where I find Mrs. Meyers to be a soapier type product for use on wood, counters, leather furniture, walls, and would not use it for the same cleaning jobs as Mrs. Meyers. The initial purchase of the bottle of the Method of cleaner maybe a little less expensive, however, Mrs. Meyers sells bottles of concentrate so you can refill the initial spray bottle you purchased with some concentrate and water for a fresh batch as needed, so I don't mind the premium paid for the premixed bottle of product since it is reusable and won't go into the trash or a landfill after it is empty. I do like the Method for glass, fixtures, and jobs you would use Windex for and find it to be a superior product than Windex at a far more reasonable price without the ammonia and streaking. Within the Method line, there are a number of specialty cleaners for different jobs (wood floors, granite, stainless / grease, glass, tube & tile). I have a number of them and would not use them interchangeably. Between the two brands, Mrs. Meyers is the better multi-tasker vs. the single Method item, is more economical since it is a concentrate, is safely interchangeable for multiple jobs and better for general cleaning (bathroom counters, fixtures, floors, wood, sealed granite counters, walls, my car, carpet deodorizer, a light mist will deodorize furniture, outdoor furniture, storm doors, etc). I will continue to use the Method multi-purpose cleaner some things, and their stainless/grease cleaner for my commercial gas cooktop and stainless hood and grease filters (works wonders), and keep my Lysol or Clorox for the toilet (no compromising there). I do need to try the Method tub and tile against Mrs. Meyers since the Method product is amazing in the shower and tub! So far this is what seems to work best for me (I don't find a sudsy type product like Mrs. Meyers is appropriate for all jobs and a glass general cleaner like the Method product would not be appropriate for my floors, walls, or other big jobs. I think I will still need a few different types of cleaning products on hand for different jobs but, between the two brands, I am saving a lot of money, getting better results than I was from more expensive brands and am very pleased with the lower number of products I need to buy to keep on hand to keep our home clean! Thanks for the review, I look forward to watching more from you channel and I hope you are not offended at all by my personal experiences with these products (Summer 2019), not sure if formulas changed since you posted. Please forgive any typos - coffee has not kicked in and I am deep into a KonMari method tidying exercise. Never realized I had so much stuff. Can you do something with Borax as a household cleaner? Have a great week! Lynn

Magic Eraser and a dedicated glass cleaning microfiber towel. Don't use it for anything but glass cleaning ever.
Use whatever glass cleaner you like but that magic eraser and microfiber towel are the key

I love watching your comparison videos! I have to say that I prefer the look of the method bottle myself. Could you do an oven cleaner and or stainless steel cleaner comparison at some point?

Method is a little bit stronger than mrs. Meyers, mrs. Meyers is supposed to be more natural, but at the end of the day I prefer mrs. Meyers because it leaves such a fabulous sent you can smell it as soon as you walk in someone's house

I have tried both and I like Mrs Meyers best. I don’t like that method uses dye in their products. Method also doesn’t list their ingredients.

This is a good example to show how meticulous housewives who use sponges or wash clothes and dilute cleaners merely smear grime, including germs, all around, mistakingly believing they’re doing something beneficial.

I just purchased the mrs. meyers all purpose spray, it is so toxic! My daughter was cleaning the stove and my lungs were burning so much I had to open the door to breathe! I will make my own cleaning supplies!

Nice comparison. I have always bought both but felt "closer" to Mrs. Meyer...Maybe the name personalized it. So I was cheering for her... But I was surprised about the performance. My curiosity is up. Maybe Method contains more water which makes it clean better, cheaper, and everything else... I do love those seasonal scents of Mrs. Meyers... But anyway... thanks a bunch!

I think I will buy mrs Meyers instead method because of scents . I think method is not have much of scents thou. Mrs Meyers and method are all natural with no chemical in it. It will be my first purchase with mrs Meyers also will buy Norwex than other rags....

I have corian countertops, and the Method All Purpose leaves streak marks. I prefer the Mrs Meyers for my countertops. It is streakless. The only Method I can use that is streakless, is the blue formula. I think it is for glass and surface.

I’m surprised - I have used it over the years on Formica, Corian and quartz without streaking or stickiness on any of them.

Maybe try buying it online through the Grove Collabrative. Less than $4 for either product. (Plus usually free gifts)

Or try Target or Walmart. I stock up when my grocery store does a BOGO a couple of times a year. If I miss it, I buy online from Target when it’s on sale and/or when they have the gift card deals or a Cartwheel deal on cleaning supplies (no Target in my new town😒).

Well try it with a papper towel & see it solves the problem but I do like great value non ammonia glass cleaner better than all the others. I have 4 s on & a hubby so it's tested true

  • @thenerdymillennial
    @thenerdymillennial 3 года назад

Try the grease test again...the consistency changes with cooking spray when it's cooked on instead of just spray and results vary depending on the surface and what you use to wipe because of friction and things like that... I use a sponge and have never had any issues with either of them...also I have recently switched to a coffee maker that has a reusable filter so I use the paper ones when I clean glass and mirrors and I get great results...also it depends on how diluted the formula is

I am very very shocked. I have never thought of mrs Meyers being nothing but the best. Thank you for your insight I have been on the look for natural cleaning products. I would like to smell that peppermint and honeysuckel you have. ERICA 1800 Hwy 90 Gautier,ms 39553

I find Meyer's sprays to be more concentrate, therefore you'll use less product to clean compare to method's.
