Rest in peace Vangelis. :'( You inspired generations of artists around the world with your incredible music.
Absolutely one of the greats,I love all his movie soundtracks, but 'Bladerunner' is his masterpiece imo.
Go with the wings of God
Insubstituível.....único.❤...Vangelis.
Toca a alma...vai fundo ao coração....essa trilha sonora é única...❤
After I watch Blade Runner I never forgot the music. As soon as the theme music was available, I bought it.
Rest in peace, Rutger Hauer
His is my favorite monologue of all time.. and then to find out RH made it all up the night before.
That’s the first thought I had thanks

Agent 47 is narrating Blade Runner for me, this is surreal
No this is heaven.
Glad I am not the only to notice this. Perhaps all this dialog will show up as an easter egg in the next Hitman entry.
Not all that surprising, because the Hitman games are made by the Danish video game developer IO Interactive who hired the actor and voice actor David Bateson to do the voice of Agent 47 ... Bateson was originally born in South Africa but has lived permanently in Denmark since 1992, working as an actor and narrator in lots of Danish TV series and movies. So the DR1 (and National) Symphony Orchestra, which is the Danish equivalent to English BBC1 Symphony Orchestra, also make use of him and his skills as narrator.
He also does work (or did work) for PBS's Frontline programs

I would love to visit a concert like this. They don't just play the music, but reenact the atmosphere of a movie. Brilliant!
I go once a year.. The experience is mindblowing! I tell you.. My eyes teard up when they played Braveheart theme.. it's like the sound penetrates your core when you have it right infront of you.. I highly recommend it!
@aage bundgaard Lucky you!
Do they do movie suites like this often? I would love to experience it.

"All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die". AWESOME!!!!
Maybe the most beautiful music in a sci-fi movie. My wife passed last December. It was one of her favorites. We don’t know how much time we have.
I'm very sorry for your loss.
@@kawaii7653 Thank You, your name reminds me to book a trip to Kawaii soon.
We really do not. My condolences.
@@BleedForTheWorld Thank You
No word's. I can't possibly imagine. My wife of twenty year's, is my best friend as well. Best wishes.
R.I.P. Rutger Hauer :( . His improvisation at the end of the movie was excellent to feel the movies's meaning.
Absolutely! For me, Blade Runner has always been about those last few lines... They sum up both the beauty and the futility of life.k
And as of now, R.I.P. Vangelis, his music will live on forever.
He didn't improvise.... it was an agreed scene, hastilty arranged between himself and the director before shooting.
@@and321nowyep, but it was his idea.
@@alfredomirabelliful He improvised on the lines he was supposed to say. it worked out magnificently.
This movie came out way before its time... 38 years later and the music still sounds as beautiful as it did in 1982.
The first movie that popularized cyberpunk as a genre!
Anyone else have a tonne of goosebumps?
Goosebumps on goosebumps!

i couldn't even breathe during tears in rain
Every. Single. Time.
I do
All these people were born to play, sing, talk and crumble paper.
Such a joy to watch and listen to.
8:19. Batty: I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die.
great voice
One ofthe greatest quotes in film history
Rutger wrote those lines. RIP.
@@TheBatNick2024 Yes. That is one of the most iconic scene of all movies. It is hard to believe that it was a improvisation od Hauer's. Such a great actor.
amazing phrase so deep and meloncholical
That single saxophone though. Utterly beautiful.
That man was born to play sax
Stunningly beautiful
that soft way he came in... it's incredible really
Yeah, damn, how does he do that!?
yes
This is one of the coolest, most emotional and most beautiful musical performances I’ve ever seen. Thanks to the musicians, the choir and the actor. Well done, you lovely crazy danes.
I was at the premiere of Blade Runner at the Edinburgh Festival in 1982. I was captivated then and I still am with the film and the music. This orchestra is truly sublime.
To produce Vangelis with a live orchestra/choir is an awesome achievement. Fabulous.
Danish National Symphony Orchestra simply the best! I remain astounded every time I listen.
RIP the most spectacular composer of our times, Maestro Vangelis unforgettable, fans are invited to bring a tribute, get together and enjoy such visionary soundtracks, heavenly delight fans
Absolutely love how they did the rain sound fx live instead of using a recording
„All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain“
The guy talking is wonderful
A new instrument is born: crushing paper. Sounds like rain, falling on tears.
Looks like a handkerchief, teasingly waved at your crying face.
they come up with a lot of stuff too recreate sounds with pretty "simple" (but of course effective) methodes. i really like their creativity!
Good percussionists do that.
How do you tune a sheet of paper ?
the danish national symphony orchestra allways play with new tools, instruments and bling to make it fun... also for themself
I would dare to say that this piece means a lot for the saxophonist...
VANGELIS was a GENIUS.!!
This is what the internet was made for.
“It’s too bad she won’t live. But then again, who does?”
Only after my wife died of cancer at 28 did I I truely understand this line. One of the best.

To the percussionist rattling the paper, bravo. To the entire orchestra. What a way to perform the great Vangelis' music.
When cinema was music and music was cinema. Unforgettable. This made those times more magic.
Thank you, Danish National Symphony Orchestra, to hear and see an another version of the best movie-moments in cinema-history. 8:20 the Rutger Hauers words, every Nerd becomes tears in the eye; who knows Gandhi and the 100 Oscars. DNSO playes and the wonderfol Singers shows movie cinema history. A wonderful tribute to this fantastic masterpiece.

The sax is magical!
So was the sex 😊
that saxophonist looked like he was in physical pain, literally. love blade runner (the final cut)
Yeah, his left hand was shaking like crazy.
the saxophone here is truly magical, and criminally underrated in our time.
I've always found that the saxophone is a brilliant instrument. I love its range. I love its style and sound. I love every piece of sax music I've heard (when it's used seriously).
The Sax had its heyday in the 80s...in fact it was the sexy instrument of the time...wonderful...
Vangelis made this movie so atmospheric, still my favourite movie to this day.
I LOVE how they incorporate dialogue
There is something magical about the wait and anticipation for the sax EVERY TIME that makes me feel like I am hearing it for the first time, 10th million time, and forever, drifting away...
Such a beautiful rendition of this masterpiece. The soundtrack was simply as grandiose as the movie.
Wow! This performance captures the magical ambiance of the world Bladerunner takes place in.
It's a Wonderful movie that should be seen by everyone and its soundtrack appreciated. Congratulations
Vangelis would be proud..
Well he's still alive so he's probably seen it.

Oh my. There are no words to express my awe and wonder at this lovely piece which honors an absolutely iconic movie and soundtrack, and of course Roy Batty/Rutger Hauer, RIP. Thank you ever so much.
An absolute masterpiece by Vangelis; should had won the Oscar, but, oh well....
Even the movie was overlooked and underrated at the time of it's release. Only years after they have realized that they'd made mistake
@@user-nm6fo7vm8m I agree. I don't like to call everything a masterpiece, but in this case is completely justified. The deep meaning of the theme/plot, photography, soundtrack....
Simply phenomenal. The film and Vangelis's music was a perfect combination
Love how they included the vocal interludes
IMO it's not complete without it. I'm glad they included it, as well.
This is such a masterpiece. So beautifully done. I've watched this 50 times.
Wow, how majestic is this..Y'all its David Bateson, the voice of Hitman who reads the opening lines!! (A most mindblowing crossover I should admit) Thanks for reading folks, stay amazing..
Blade Runner is my favorite soundtrack of all time. I only just found this tonight and It's amazing. I have no words. I used to go to the symphony a few times every year when I was in grade school and this just bring back a wave of nostalgia that I am overwhelmed.

Repose en paix Vangelis un compositeur incroyable magnifique
Such a beautiful performance, thank you for this depth of emotion within this rendition. The xylophone is to die for!
The vocal accompaniment divine, along with the piano.
The harp, the strings, the percussion all nail it!
Finally, that saxophone... wow.
Oh yes, David.. atmospheric...
It's a vibraphone -- it and the glockenspiel are metallic; the xylophone and marimba are wooden.
