But you already have a Leica SL2s, right?. The camera I'll be giving away won't top that, but that brings up a good point; if a subscriber wins the giveaway and already has a camera then they can pick a lens (or if the lens is insanely expensive) I'll issue them a digital gift-certificate to their preferred shop (assuming it can be done for shops like Adorama or B&H). That way they can put the money towards equipment they can use (this will be done publicly during a livestream)...And to be eligible you just have to be a subscriber

@@iKIMshuffle I appreciate you, and enjoy the LEICA SL2s you picked up (I saw that short you made). One thing I'm going to start doing in future videos is Pinning creators/photographers IG's to the top of the comments for added visibility. So if you shoot a lot with it and have an IG and you want ppl to check out your work I'll ping you when I'm about to drop my next video and I'll pin your IG to the top of the comments (if you want). I just thought that would be something cool to do in the future, and that people/photographers/photo enthusiasts would be stoked on that.
I gotta throw this in. I'm a Sony shooter and I've gotten some amazing shots. And kinda invested in the auto lenses for this camera, including Zeiss. I do own a couple Voigtlander M mount lenses (35 and 50). Also just picked up a Leica 135mm R. So the pull to a Leica SL isn't as strong but I have that itch. What do you think of the Lumix S5 as a lower cost camera that can do SL type pics?
I may be biased because I’m a Panasonic guy but, an S5 is fantastic! A Leica camera just has its own character. I have no business nor do I get paid for photography, I really just love Leica. I went for the cheapest Leica lens, Elmarit 24-70 f2.8 to compliment my SL2-s.
Before Leica, my daily is a LUMIX G9. Very budget friendly and versatile.
I ended up getting a mint SL and I love it. And I can adapt tons of different lenses to it.

I 100% agree, I feel like there will be a very small group of people that use it for video. To me it doesn't make sense to buy this camera specifically for it's video capabilities, if you want it to function like a cinema camera and if your primary focus is video. Any cinema camera (Even dated cinema cameras), Sony Mirrorless, or Canon DSLR/Mirrorless camera are better video options in my opinion and way more cost effective. The video here is good it's just hyper expensive for what it is when compared to the rest of the market.
But the photos out of this are fantastic! And the low light capabilities really do shine. I just picked up the APO-Summicron-SL 75mm F/2 last week and paired with this camera it might be my favorite lens/camera combo ever. I need to shoot with it a little more to really know, but stay tuned I'll be dropping a vlog/google drive link with photos for that soon
Is that you showering with an M mount lens? 🤣 That isn't weather sealed then but I'd love to know your feedback after that shower test
Yeah, I read a lot prior doing that, and from what I read it seemed like it would be fine for a few seconds (to essentially mimic a torrential downpour). And fortunately, it all worked out. But to say that I didn't have a little voice in the back of my mind saying "this is probably a horrible idea, would be a lie. (I pay for insurance and the camera is still under warranty). But there were no issues whatsoever after getting that shot.
@@RentonVlogs That's awesome! I've only had it showered with the SL lenses that were weather-sealed. Really brave to do that with an M lens! 🙏🏻😂 Shows how good the body is!

Correct, we are halfway there (more than halfway now) and as stated at 1000 subs I'll be doing a camera giveaway. At 850 I'll be starting livestreams, and elaborating more on it (the giveaway will also be done during a livestream), and I'll be launching a website simultaneously, which is already built; The next two videos I have on deck for this channel are on the Leica APO-Summicron-SL 75mm f/2 and the 50mm Noctilux .95 (i'll be posting a few YT shorts on those soon, some of that content is up on TikToK now).
Also, it's only a felony if I don't follow through on the giveaway which falls under contest law, and if you looked into my background you would see that I helped build an entire platform around "contests" or "projects" that fall under contest law as well). @@iKIMshuffle Awesome, I always used that emoji in a sarcastic context as do my friends. So I find it difficult to gage context sometimes if I don't know the person, in the sense of if a comment is genuine or if it's trolling. I'm the weird guy that uses this one as my go to " 🤙." I'm glad you're hyped, stay tuned. I have a few vlogs in the works and given how they're done (it's a different style than this video), should push the subscriber count over a thousand.
Those will be out early 2023, and once I hit 1K subs I'll drop content more regularly (I also had to work a lot and save for the two lenses which is why I've been quite the past two to three months).
