Great instructions. I did it just as you said. But when i turned it on there is a misty line about half inch from the edge all around the screen. I reseated the connection band and it did not help. Faint, but it shouldnt be there. This was not a problem in the old screen which had pressure lines in one corner which are now gone. Can it be fixed?

possibly a faulty display or maybe damage to flex connectors

I have successfully replaced the damaged screen on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 10.4 tablet with the opening screen activated normally but it does not swipe to unlock. Any comment to correct this please.

5 months late, but I hope you figured our why you ended up with no digitizer functionality!

Can you recommend a cheapish but good battery replacement? Mine suddenly started charging extremely slowly. Like 5% in 2 hours! I did spill some sweet tea on it the day before but I dried it quickly, outside only of course, and everything else about the tablet still works 100% fine. Coincidence maybe? Thanks for any response.
