I have 1up pacman arcade , I fited in a respberry pi, load an image from arcadepunk for vertical games, added a coin acceptor, the image come with scanline support, it is a joy to mod 1up arcades. :D
Which vertical imagine did you use. I have a Pi4 ?
Good job explaining the steps!! I'm modding Space Invader that I picked up for $199.
It's really fun. I think the 60 in 1 is the best solution and easiest. I have been playing around with the RetroPi option and I found this card to be a better plug n play solution.
Thanks for this little tutorial. Helped put a ton and I did this to my cab,..stir can’t get the trackball to sync up quite right yet. As far as the sound.... the 60-1 is not the problem. It’s just that it’s al trying to come through that little cheesy speaker. Believe me if your willing... by the 2.1 klipsch computer speakers with 6 inch sub in that and the sound will come out amazing:,,,, I put that set up in all my arcade 1 ups because you can’t beat the way the sound comes through no matter what game upgrade you do
Dwayne Raimer awesome! Glad I can help! I will keep that speaker set up in mind !
For your brightness switch, did you simply use a rotary potentiometer? Or is there a specific part name? Would it be wired up similarly as one would for a similar switch for volume control? I appreciate your input. Thanks
Awesome
Hi, Im amazed how many people you have help ,would like to thank you for that. My Galaga locked up in galaxian mode and thought this would be the perfect time to Mod mine. Any suggestions?
I wish galaga 88 was on there.
What tools that I want to Build a 60 in 1 Arcade1Up Mod?
Hey do I need to solder anything when doing this?
And if I _do_ use a Molex, where do I put the other end?
Good informative video. I got a Space Invaders for 75 bucks and put a PI in it. I like it but I am finding the monitor has horrible vertical viewing angles. The left and right side of the screen on certain colors are almost always different shades. How and where did you hook the brightness dial to?
Rastan350 Thanks ! Here is the link to get the controller. Get the deluxe.

Thank you so much for your great video, I would like to buy one, but I don't have any idea how to buy and set up, how about the cabinet and the screen?
How to buy everything then how to assemble?
Thank you in advance ☺
How does it turn on? Just use the on/off switch thats already there?
you can run audio off of the the jamma harness
Another option rather than the arcade power supply would be one of these molex power supplies ( www.ebay.com/itm/AC-to-12V-5V-DC-Power-Supply-Adapter-w-4-Pin-Molex-Connector-Plug-GX-0518/123145734045 ) - Then use a Molex splitter to get both the 12V source for your monitor and a molex connection with both 12V and 5V to connect to the 60 in 1 directly. THe 2A rating is plenty of both the 12V and 5V power to run both the 60 in 1 and the monitor and uses only the single outlet from the cab to the wall.
Can someone help me? I purchased a 60-1 Blee and i seem to have wired it correctly as the lights flash solid green after power up and blinking green on the second light but the games never seem to start up. It always boots to service screen and I have verified that the dip switch #4 is off and not in service mode. I have two of these boards and it seems to be doing it with both boards. I also have multiple harnesses. One player and two player harnesses. Please Help, thanks!!!
How do you attach the button for the test menu? And what kind of button do you need to do it?
On the Jamma Hardness you need to connect the MicroSwitch button to the Test Wire. Hold down the Button and reboot. The menu will appear that allow you to change options.
Is this possible to do with the 1up Dig Dug counter cade?
GameVet02 yes
Good luck playing Gunsmoke with that button configuration, you really need to add more buttons next to the main fire button....
I changed my desk buttons. This is an old video
Where did you get the brightness dial?
G. Sum get the deluxe

I have the same A1up Galaga cabinet but I only want to play Donkey Kong, Dig Dug, Pacman, Galaga so I am thinking I only need to use one red fire button. Do you know if i have to use the second and third button? I basically want to put the 1 and 2 player buttons where the yellow buttons are and just use the red fire button only. I will add the menu buttons to the back of the cabinet. My main question is, do you have to have the second and third buttons hooked up to navigate the 60in1 in any way?
If you want to play 1942, 1943 - You will need two buttons... if you want to play Gun.Smoke.. Three Buttons. These are games on the 60 and 1 that require more than one button. If you don't care to play those game. They that's fine. I highly recommend creating a service button and another button to scroll left and right through the menu. I have updated my deck to have more buttons. It was through a third party vender...and it cost me around $50. Also remember, you need to make a bigger hole for the Joystick.. since the Galaga cab is only left and right.
@@juddabudda5921 Thanks for the Quick Reply! Yes I do not care about the other games. Can you clarify when you say "another button to scroll left and right through the menu"? Can you not just use the joystick? I am trying to keep the mod as clean and cheap as possible.
@@colingbryan82 Unfortunately, you need two buttons. When you move through the menus on the card. You use the the ( Test ) button to boot into the Test menu to move right and The ( Service ) button to move left. Those are located on the Jamma Harness at 15... Test being Card side.. and Service being solder side. In my video you can see two white buttons below the deck. You use the joystick to move through the menus up and down.
i was gonna ask if you had the galaga 1 up how do you manage to pay pac man
then you explained that you had to drill a hole
Anonymous I used a dremmel.
What would you rate the difficulty of this project 1 from 10. It looks difficult
Svo 23 maybe a 5
@@juddabudda5921 How do you think I should approach this. When it comes to the wiring?
It doesn’t save high scores right ?
Would this kit also work with the Space Invaders cabinet?
dcallier1 an Arcade1up one...yes
I have just added the 60-in-1 to my Arcade1Up Space Invaders cab. It works great. The only change I made was to swap out the joystick, so you can have 4 directions. I hid all the games that use more than one button, so they don’t show up on the game-select screen.
Can I do this with the space invaders cab from Arcade 1up
Yes.. you can!
Can you mod a partycade?
If you turn the power off , do you loose all the High Scores?
High Scores will save, but not initials. The only game that doesn't save a score is Pacman Plus.
Judda Budda Thanks
Hi thanks for your video I took the courage to install the 60 in 1 in my arcade 1up galaga the only thing Im having issue is the screen is just white. could it be a bad video card I installed its part number is the same as yours part number, M.NT68676.2
I did a quick test by unplugging the vga cable from the video card and plug it into my PC monitor and it works I can see the games. Could I have a bad video card? Please help.
Hey, J... I was actually answering your other question, but I just saw you went with the 60 and 1. Did you get it to work? Sometime the video card needs to have the channel switched. That's the little panel that comes with the video card. If memory serves me correct you also how to be aware of the pin configuration on the board. I just forgot which order those pin should be in. I think I heard rumors of people getting screens like this, cause the card was set up a different way in the factory. I can look into this if you still have a problem.
@@juddabudda5921 Hey thanks for your reply, I just replace the video card and worked fine I'm up and running. I also did a retropie! thanks for your reply.
I have my 60 in 1 icade installed in my Galaga arcade1up but the screen doesnt fill, I have a 2" black bar at the top..any idea how to fill the screen?
There is a break out panel for the video card. You may have to use those small buttons to move or increase the size of your video output. Some games on the 60 and 1 don't play perfectly at full screen, but hardly enough to not noticed the difference. I hope this helps!
@@juddabudda5921 I had used the little controller attached to the board but it wouldn't fill the screen. What ended up working was a setting called clock. It moved the screen where I wanted it then it auto filled. Thanks for your help. 😀
@@Acrophobia1981 Anytime
@@Acrophobia1981 where was the seting called clock found because im going to need this for my Galaga arcade 1 UP mod too
@@mikem-ui8nc I want to say when you use the little board that comes with the LCD driver board its either on the little settings board or its an option under menu
Ok, When did Ms. Pacman have hearts instead of pellets ?
It’s a dip switch option with the 60 in 1.
I got my cabinet all hooked up exactly the same way. According to what I purchased I have the correct parts. However my screen reads “Attention Out of Range”. Anyone have an idea on a solution?
Could be a resolution issue. I think you need to shuttle through the resolutions until is works. Are you using a 60 and 1?
Yes, I’m using a 60 in 1
Ok my problem ended up being a bad lcd controller board. Got a free replacement and now everything is working perfectly!
Banky Ho-Tep awesome !
Do anyone here know the name of old ninja game say hopa when do magic as he can become twice the game look such shinobi plzzzzzzz
I really want to do this but I have no clue what I'm doing and this looks like a one way ticket to insanity and breaking my unit or burning my house down
DeathmetalSe7en It’s actually not that hard to do if you follow my steps you can probably do this on your own
@@juddabudda5921 I hope so!!! Thank you, sir. :)
That's a lot of work for just 60 games
Depends. If you want to play these games like you did when they were in the arcade .. its worth it. I grew up in the 80's and spent a lot of my time in an arcade. For me this brings back that experience playing classic games on a almost life size cabinet with a real joystick. It's nostalgic. I wanted something solid state and an arcade Pi will hold thousands of games which later I can update this cabinet with if I choose to play more than 60 games.
@@juddabudda5921 Oh I know I started out with a Pi since I was familiar with it and then once I saw how to build a computer for super cheap I upgraded to that and am in heaven and can even run steam so i have the new street fighter and mortal kombats. I meant this looks like a lot of work compared to a pi or computer that gives you more games.
@@juddabudda5921 Also for sound I ended up upgrading to a 20 dollar soundbar and put it on top which fit perfectly and now I have volume control in reach which is so nice since all games vary a lot with volume. Depends on if you dont mind having something sitting on top of your arcade 1 up which I personally do not it looks fine to me.
Project Genesis yea, I need a better audio solution. The MK cab looks damn awesome! Not sure I would Mod it other than replacing the buttons and joystick. I am so enticed in getting it.
@@juddabudda5921 Same. That one and the Final Fight one look awesome. I may get one when they go on sale so I can do that head to head setup that one guy did. 4 player x-men between 2 cabinets would make me never leave my house again though haha
skip the 60 in 1 and go for Pandora's box 6 or 3D, comes in Jamma or IDE style harness. Best solution is using a RASPBERRY Pi with an image off arcadepunks. I have done 1 of each and the Pi by far is the best way to go.
Yes! I have used a Pi for my other machines. This hobby is addicting
Xx
If you're not willing to wire up the power for the board you can use a Molex adapter like the one linked below to power the main PCB and the main A1U PSU to power the monitor:
www.amazon.com/Coolerguys-100-240v-Molex-Power-Adapter/dp/B000MGG6SC
It worked wonders for my 60 in 1 setup. Granted, it does make it a bit messier but it helps if you have a fear of burning your house down failing the wiring (The wiring's simple but I get why people would be put off. Myself included.)
