Nice. Question I have the new 40th pacman. It has dual speakers with a 3.5mm plug. Do i still need additional speakers or could I use those. I see some people use a amp.
I have the star wars arcade1up cabinet which has dual speakers built in. For me they are fine it just comes down to preference both are fine. Hope this helps.
@@gregorywunder6174 Thank you for that, i do see a kit with speakers but didn't know if i needed to get the new speakers or if original would work. What I'm really wondering now is if a 412 in 1 jamma board would work instead of the 60 in 1, and if the sanwa joystick fits inside it or if i would have to drill holes for it?
Oh bummer, did you make sure you are using the correct monitor drive board that is compatible with the monitor model number in your machine? If it’s the correct item then you could possibly have a faulty drive board that needs to be swapped out. I had that happen once. Sorry, I just now noticed this question by the way!
Dang.... This is a lot of stuff just to make it work with a cheap knockoff JAMMA card. I sure hope this kit allows it to work with other setups as well, like if you wanted to output anything to the VGA port of that converter card, will it work? Like such as a Raspberry Pi or something?
I just did this modification to my Arcade1Up Space Invaders cab. Did you have any issues with the video signal? On mine, there seems to be a 1” gap at the top of the screen, that stays black. I need some way to expand the screen, so it takes up the entire monitor. Otherwise, it plays awesome. Let me know if you had to do any adjustments. Maybe I got sent a wrong video card?
I saw on another conversion video there was some way to reset it and it would self adjust. I’m sorry I don’t remember how but that is definitely a way to fix this issue.
Brick, your voice got real deep at 1:42 😋
Very cool stuff man 👍👍
Thank you I’m really glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for the support.

Do you need Speakers for Audio?

Hey Gregory, do the default speakers with your 40th anniversary pacman work with the jamma upgrade? I'm getting a 40th cab being shipped to me, thx!
@@jasonb7865 I bought a kit online and it came with speakers

Thanks for the video. On the 60 in 1 are all the games vertical? I have never modified anything but I am thinking about nodding my Galaga cabinet.
Yes for this 60 in 1 all games are vertical.
I hooked it all up and a monitor driver board light turns green and then red in the monitor doesn't come on please help

Yeah that’s true their is a lot of parts need in order for it to work.
@@brickrod So does this kit allow you to use other devices such as a Pi with the arcade1up?

I had a blank screen go wrong with mine which I needed a new LCD controller board. Yours could be a settings issue. Hope this helps.

How does the joystick work on many games because it only moves left and right on the space invaders cab ?
For the mod I converted it into an 8 way joystick.
Are all the games 4-way game?
Sorry for the late reply no some of the games on this mod are 2 -way.
Can you still turn it on using the factory on/off button? Or do you have to unplug and plug it in?
You have to unplug and plug in the unit unfortunately.
@@brickrod ok thanks
Can you add games to this? I’m thinking h about getting one... the rampage one
Thank you for watching and yes you can with a raspberry pi.
Disconnect the green - 5 volts from the power supply, it is not needed to run the 60 in 1 pcb
Thank you really appreciate it.
Could u do this with the new countercades?
I’m not sure about the new countercades just direct message Berry berry on Facebook he will let you know if he can.
Yes! DIYRetroArcade sells complete kits for those newer countercades, just make sure you're getting the right one
