@@hobbyhunt6347 I’m not usually so enthusiastic but then I don’t usually see half my character creation headaches after two years of blender get solved in ~7 minutes
@@hobbyhunt6347 I always want to achieve that Dead or Alive Soul Caliber 2 anime look using MakeHuman but didn't know what edits I have to make. So I guess it's important to have a reference on at all times to know what parts to pinch and smooth out to try and match what I'm trying to achieve
Just started with MakeHuman today. Even if I'm not making Disney Inspired stuff, I think what you have here is really great advice. I was making the mistake of messing with MakeHuman for a main character and I think that you hit the nail on the head with your process. As a content creator myself, I also like to be critical of the layout of certain videos too. I would take a look at your first 35 seconds to see how the video retention is. I personally panned through it, because the intro showcase felt a bit too long. I'm still learning, so I'd like to know whether I'm right or wrong on this if you happen to look into it. I'll definitely be checking out your other videos though 😃
If you check out my other videos you will notice a large amount of experimentation with each intro (particularly from my first videos to this one). In the end I strayed away from this style of intro however it was not a drastic change in retention which remains around 45%. For my early (longer videos) however my retention is abysmal dropping near 20% at the 30 second mark even though I was jumping straight into the content. I checked out your channel, great work considering you first started posting mid-December! I considered my channel to be fairly fast growing and your shorts blew my progress out of the water! Keep up the good work and I hope this helped! I would also be curious to hear the retention of your first longer video at the 30 second mark that you recently posted? You should check out Edge Loop 3D, he has amazing content and videos but seems to be oddly struggling with Subs.
To add one last thing, I would recommend staying within (or at least near) the wheel house of blender you Subscribers subscribed for. I recently branched out and did more and an effect video instead of a character building video, and it was a complete and utter failure ☺
@@hobbyhunt6347 I'll definitely let you know how things go with my most recent video once I have a good sample of data to back it up. I appreciate you looking into my stuff and taking what I say in a good light. Constructive criticism helps a ton 💪 I'm wondering how well retention will go, because my content is formatted for the attention span of a TikToker, as that's where most of my content is. I'm currently hovering about 1600 followers over there.
Hello thanks again for letting me borrow your mesh also I hope you don't mind but do you think you can make a future tutorial about scaling the eyes I seem to keep messing that part out
@@uaw_1 no problem, in this video, I believe I used "sculpt mode" for the mirroring you are referring to. While in sculpt mode, on the right side of the screen you should see 3 little boxes with x,y,z. By selecting the different boxes, it enables sculpt mirroring for that axis. I selected the x box in sculpt mode, thus mirroring the x axis on both sides of the sculpt. Hope this was helpful, my apologies if it was a little confusing.
So as the "face it" software is not part of my usual work flow I cant say for sure. However yes, with most software I have used for weight painting and rigging (mixamo and accrurig) have been totally fine once the process is complete. Thank you for commenting and I hope this was helpful 😁
Unfortunately the ones you mentioned on the ones I'm most familiar with. Mixamo does offer some characters that are free to download, however they are pre-built so you have to take them as is, and I am unsure of their commercial use policies. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
Man...where were you a couple weeks ago? I bought CC4 cuz I needed a good way to make characters....oh well. I'll still subscribe to your channel! (really great idea to snag make human for a base mesh!)
Hey dude I didn't seem to had this problem in the earlier version of Blender but ever since I update Blender in the latest 3.5 version the texture of my Makehuman doesn't show up and I can't figure out why
I'll be sure to take a look at this and let you know when I figure it out. Probs won't have an answer for you till sometime tomorrow. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, and nice to hear from you again :)
whoa and here I thought makehuman was only used for realistic proportions I though about using vroid studio for my anime models but now I would like to create a stylized anime character using make human
So happy to hear this could give you a sneak peak on what Makehuman can do! I'd love to see how your anime character ends up turning out! Check me out on Facebook and keep me posted if you wouldn't mind!
Hi Karla, due to difficulties in contacting the original winner of the Hobby Hunt Character Raffle, I did another Random selection..... and you ended up winning!!! Is there any specific character you would like to see featured in a Hobby Hunt video???

Holy shit this is good. I’d never understood the hype for makehuman because I hadn’t thought of using it for base meshes. Underrated, sir. +1 sub
Thanks for your kind words and enthusiasm! Really helps motivate me to make more content!

This is very helpful to get pretty much any stylized art style in Make human.
Right! Who knew makehuman could be such a powerful tool!? Thank you for your kind comment

thanks bro.. this was so helpful. but how you did the Similarity in blender?
No problem! Glad it could help 😁 could you explain what you mean by "similarity in blender" so I can better answer your question??
that thing like the mirror that keeps the both sides matching. so bad in explaining lol
