last thing you said is spot on, i personally dont see myself improve if i do a 100 laps in one sitting but if i just rest a little bit and then continue, i immediately improve
Yeah buddy!
Great video Kevin. The LFM license requires 7 valid laps at Hungaroring at a time of 1:49:3++ and I would usually be able to run in the mid 50's to low 51's and once in a while actually hit the target but not consistently enough to do 7 laps. Since watching your videos the past several weeks I can now run in the mid 48's consistently and some high 47's. To guys at your level these are miserable results but to guys like me it is almost like a miracle. Many thanks as always
Hey man that’s awesome! We all started some where. You will get there!
The other challenge is to manage the traffic.
With 20+ drivers on the track it's not easy....
Can't appreciate enough the editing.
Perfect rythme, a lot of useful tips, not one second was it boring.
One thing i just re discovered recently, the 'Save game session feature'.
It helped me save time to setup my FFB right by jumping on different tracks with already hot tyres / setup loaded and the car already running (as the cold tyres makes the FFB feels weaker).
Thanks man!
I bought into sim racing after watching a couple of F1 seasons on the tube. No racing world experience whatsoever. I’m good enough in ACC to get onto a server now, but still don’t know squat about how it all works. Thanks for covering things that may seem obvious to the experienced, but are completely unknown to us noobs. Well done!
No problem! I hope it helped.
Rest is important and the big issue is peoppe think they need to then sit there while off thinking about it but that isnt true. Your muscle memory and mind itself will automatically come in remembering and you will notice being faster.
Also I agree with hotlap mode and that's what upsets me I see guys going haha I'm faster! And then I show them my 10 lap average and I am consistently the same time each lap then they fluctuate 3 seconds between laps and o go yeah see I beat you in an actual race. People are way way to worried about hotlap times. It's nothing like race pace. Nothing and people can't argue with me on that. Hate seeing people say race pace should be within 1 second and that's just not true.
Well done on this content, keep em coming sir 🙌
Thanks I appreciate it!
again very informative i have watched countless hours of help videao and you have covered everything i have wanted to know but never realised i idid thanks bud much love
Thanks glad it helped!
Another excellent well explained video Kevin! Thx.
Thanks Simon!!
Once again you’re the man with the information. I always Lear more about acc. Thanks again. Eyes open stay safe.
Thanks again Rick!
Can’t wait to try it! So awesome!
Thank you!
Thanks Kevin! Great vid!!
Thanks Simon!
Great video Kevin! Thanks for the info
Thanks Dev!!!! No problem!
Thanks. Great info. Love it.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video. Looking to get in to ACC, it's a lot more involved than other 'simulators' and this is very informative 👌
Thanks, dropped a like and sub👍
Thanks man! I have a some other videos that could help you! I’m trying to gear this channel to more of the beginner-intermediate player. Thanks again for the comment!!
Plenty of good tips here. Thanks!
I’m glad it helped!
Happy i finally got to this one Kevin! Should've started here;)
Glad you like it 😂!
Great video, thankyou. ❤
Glad it works for you!
Saving this for later
Another great video Kevin. I just discovered that I can "LIKE" this on my RUclips TV account, on my Frank Stevenson YT account and also on this one which is my old creators channel to give it a total of 3 likes instead of 1. So I will be doing that in the future because YT needs to start making your vids more visible to the people that dont know about you yet. We need to play their algorithm game. You are the best teaching source on this platform and I learn new stuff from every vid you make. I did not know that hot laps refreshed the tires and never understood why you would overinflated tires for rain. Seemed to me the softer the better the grip but now it makes sense and when it makes sense you will be inclined to follow the process.
Thanks Frank! Yeah 3 likes is better then 1 lol! Yeah the channel is getting lots of views but not the corresponding amount of subscribers. I don’t know why? It’s strange
Great stuff dude.. loving your inclusive advice model.. also welcome to the dark side... racing on the dirt... Rally is far more difficult than road racing. Not much on setups but definitely about the driver and Co driver.
Thanks man! Yeah I’ve always loved rally
just getting into this game, this video is helping me alot, i was getting frustrated in hotlaps
I’m glad it’s helping
Another banger! Keep up the good work! Do you recommend a beginner start with the racing line or never turn it on at all?
Thanks man! I’ve tried the racing line in ACC just to see how good it is. And it’s not. I would recommend finding videos on RUclips of people driving the same car and track you are and study that. I have a few videos up and live streams you can check out to see the lines I use if it helps!
Hi Kevin, I've just discovered your channel and subscribed to it right away since I find it very useful. I'm an old gamer from Quebec playing ACC on a PS5 / Fanatec DD and Formula v2.5x steering. I really appreciate your channel, very informative. I simrace alone, no multiplayer, I'm not good enough. Do you intend to review the GT2 cars ? That would be good.
Thank you! Keep working at it. I’m taking a break from RUclips and simracing for a little bit. So I won’t be really reviewing anything in the near future.
I definitely need to practice more at this. (Not had it long, and I don't drive IRL, (I bought a TM T300RS GT last month), so it's all a learning experience...) I'm currently 6s slower than the AI in the initial career mode, lapping round Monza in the Lambo.
Yeah buddy it takes time. Keep at it!
Hi Kevin I'm going to race with Ai with other people I think it's still a very big step but Thanks again for your good tips I picked up racing again this week because I had an injury to my shoulder. Thanks man.
That’s a good idea!! I’m glad your better and able to get back into it!
Thanks Kevin !!! 😉
Well explained video, I have been playing online Sim Race. since 2003 and can still learn from your videos, or get inspiration. Unfortunately my English is very bad, so I can't get on the Discord channel, but I look forward to more videos.
Hey man thanks! I appreciate it!
@@Bratmouse1 I watched your setup videos first, I understand a bit of it, I also work with Motec, but your explanations and the connections between the individual components were never really clear to me. I showed your videos to my race team and we all agree that it helped, especially after switching from the Aston to the McLaren 720 Evo.
@@markusgrutzner920 I’m glad it helped! Do you race in a league?
@@Bratmouse1 Yes, we are competing in some sprint cups and from october the autumn season starts in the Endu Cup.
Thank you so much for this video. I'm still quite green on ACC. Which site would you recommend for multiplayer races (besides LFM)?
Algo, how could I join a league?
Thanks! Simgrid is a good place to find a league.
Recently got ACC for the PS4, after finally getting the FFB dialed, it is such an awesome game!
It's completely ruined the FFB feel in GT7 for me 😂😂
Yeah the FFB is on another level
🤘🔥
Thanks man!
@@Bratmouse1 of course, very good content!
Thank you for your Video. I practice a lot the last days. my fav car is the Ferrari 296. I have some problems with my tires. The psi is ok but after 15 min in race or practice the color goes to another green. Is the Temperatur to hot? Greetings
Yes they are getting a little too hot. You can go back into the setup screen and look at the temps of the tires it’ll tell you how hot they are
@@Bratmouse1 yes you are right. rhank you
@@Bratmouse1 thats funny. In your stream my Name is Guy Fakes and at commentary is Mr. S 🤣
@@MrSICSTAR lol thanks for watching sorry we had some internet issues. And thanks so much for becoming a member!!!
@@Bratmouse1 Hope you could drive
Are you on wet tires in the wet or just high pressure slicks?
Wets
Is there a way to "rewind" the lap 15-20 seconds so you can practice the same corner over and over again without restarting the whole lap? I mean while you're driving, not while you're watching a replay.
No unfortunately not. I wish that would be a feature.
@@Bratmouse1 Bummer. That should be a feature in AC2. Kinda like quick save / quick load in retro emulators.
Could you tell me what camera you use and the degrees? Thank you.
You mean the Camera I use in the video like my face camera?
I mean the field of vision -FOV@@Bratmouse1
height, distance
@@comprahard my recording camera? or the FOV in the game?
FOV in the game@@Bratmouse1
I have to question we're can I buy set up
Go Setups or Hymo
Actually, when calculating race fuel you should look for what the fast guys will be driving consistently as race pace, as they are going to set the number of laps. If you just look after your own time its easily possible to fall short a lap or two. Source: been there, done that....
If you calculate what the fast guys are doing and using that you will fall short. Because they use less per lap then slower people. And regardless of how many laps the leader does. Your still only doing the total time of the race. Even if they do 3 more laps than you your still only doing the time of the race. I think you may just messed up your fuel calculation lol :).
@kevink1032
Nope, other car fuel usage has nothing to do with it. It has to do with the way GT-races are done. Its for example a 60minute race, than its 60m + whenever the leadcar completes its last lap. If you take only your laptimes into consideration it could lead to you calculating for 60m+1s, thats when you get over the line, while the leadcar may do 60m+almost a full lap. Depending on where you are at the track compared to leader this leads to situations were you will have to do one more lap. This is pronounced the longer the lap is. In most cases you will get away with it, but there are situations like i described.
What im saying is better safe than sorry! :)
@@doktorzett3495 Sounds like you should make a video to show your findings. And show your way of calculating fuel. I’ve been racing 32 years in real life and have done countless sim races on top of that and have used this method and have NEVER run out of fuel. The only time I ran out of fuel was in a qually session and that was my own stupidity because I didn’t look at how much fuel I had because I was concentrating on my laps and talking to the chat. The amount of work I put into these videos to get the right info out to people that need it is crazy. And I would never mislead or give info that doesn’t work for my viewers.
@@Bratmouse1 I did not mean to imply you misleading anyone, sorry if it sounded that way. I just thought id point it out, because as mentioned, i did run into this issue myself. As said, it may never happen when you are racing, when you are somewhere close to the leadcar, it may never happen when you are laps behind. And it definitely never happens when you plan to take one or two laps of extra fuel with you, which is what you pointed out in your video anyway. And still i say, if you want to be on the safe side, calculate how many laps the fastest guy/s will do, at least as a reference. The method is just the way everyone does it, just isntead of your own take the laptime of the leaders.
