- Got to jump in a friend's car for a fun Spec Miata race at Thunderhill Raceway. Started P28, made up some positions, avoided a crash and fell to the back again, then worked my way through the final wet laps to finish P7. Lots of fun, and a good reminder why I started my career in this class!

What a great race, crazy how loose the cars get on slicks in the wet!!
Awesome stuff. Loved being there with you the entire race. Grass roots racing at its absolute finest.
Well done, fun to watch and the comments were perfect!
2:40 quick reflexes 🤘
Nearly insane! As I grow older, my respect for this class grows. Probably the best bang for the buck in motorsport history! That's little bangs otherwise a V8 Camaro is the next best thing but it's a big bang with a big fuel and tire bill to boot.
Old E30/E36 BMWs were good but they are too old now. And E46 and newer are not as durable (cheap). :/
I enjoyed watching from start to finish.
Very cool! What a neat track.
stellar reactions. that guy owes you a voucher at christmas
Great drive! Gaining in the wet!!
I'm working on getting my comp license this year and will hopefully race ST5 next. My girlfriend comes with and she just loves watching you knuckle heads in Spec Miata 😂
Super solid driving!
really good driving
Love these!
That was really fun, thanks.
Great drive and great editing. Lovely video
Hi Matt , fun race !! Thanks for the concise commentary-very relevent but not overboard-rare to find. Just subcribed to your channel. Your name seems familiar- did you post races before? Anyways thanks for posting and good luck on your future events !!
This looks fun
The pass in the rain on the bypass was sketchy. Lol
what's that auxiliary time split/speedo display next to your aim solo?
it is called a rumble strip!
Love these too what was the power issue?
to be determined!
ended up being too thin of an oil recommended by engine builder, hydraulic lifters weren't fully opening/closing, car owner ended up needing to send the head back for service, and then used a thicker oil from that point
@@MattCresciRacing which oil grade is used ? (Before and after change ?)
Stock engine ? Thanks !
@@Xavier-zm8wv i believe this oil issue occured with 5-20, switched to 5-30 and the hydraulic lifters are functioning normally
For the record it sounds off from the time u had to dodge the green and orange car and go into the sand.... I suspected exhaust damage maybe. 😅
Ho motor use? 1.8 or 1.6???
NA 1.8!
