You’re absolutely right! Real HIIT is 30 seconds all out and up to 4 minutes to recover. Yes, 4 minutes. There are exactly 0 humans that can go truly all out for 30 seconds and recover in 10 seconds. Even very fit people have to moderate their efforts to follow a video like this. Look up HIIT vs Tabata to learn more.

I first did this workout 2 days ago and had to take multiple breaks, feeling nauseous, and sobbing. I’m so happy to report that I was able to complete this workout today with no breaks and no nausea with a smile on my face and in my heart. Never give up, we are all strong enough to push through! dont be ashamed of taking multiple breaks. taking breaks in between actually is good for losing weight whereas having less breaks is good for increasing muscle power and strength!
I don’t know who you are but I am so proud of you for trying again. That’s the key. Failing struggling, but not giving up. Always coming back. Thank you for sharing this. I am also on my path to getting fit, and sometimes it does happen, I feel dizzy, nauseous, incompetent. Keep going! Do maybe less intense ones first. Just as long as you do it consistently. That's a real morning workout: no wasted time, challenging, short breaks, some trickier moves - one of the best 20-minute workouts I've done for a long while.
Just did this, it's 9 pm here in Canada and I wasn't going to work out today but you got me out of bed with this one 😊 it was an amazing workout Anna, the exercises and the music were perfect.

this was such a hard workout, i don’t usually do workouts so the first time i did this, i only reached 15 mins, today i can say that i didn’t hit the full 20, but i did hit 18 , im pushing myself to finish this entire thing
That was how it was for me as well when I started working out. But with time, I can finish a 30-minute workout with ease and I am not too out of breath .
I haven’t trained since last spring and now these workouts are killing me but i feel so much better after doing them. I am so happy that I found your channel.

I was an absolute workout bunny, downstairs training by 6.30 most mornings, 60 stair runs a day, loved my weights too & regularly walked my dogs whilst I wore a weighted vest. Then I just suddenly stopped. No idea why, I just did. That was nearly 5 years ago. IV done bits in fits & starts but my passion just seems to have died. Anyway today I try again. I don't like what IV become so I'm very hopeful this gets me back into my beloved fitness. I enjoyed that, thank you ❤

day 1 of this workout - about 3 weeks of working out now - HOLY MOLY: That was the hardest workout i've ever done. im incredibly sweaty. had to take 2-3 extended breaks like a minute long cause i could NOT KEEP up. Loved it and will come tmrw to see if i can crush it tmrw!!! THANK YOU GROWING ANANAS FOR THIS WORKOUT! Day 2 - less breaks than yesterday but still had a few longer breaks like 40-60 seconds. Loved this workout AGAIN! Breaking toooo manysss sweats. LOVED IT! Be back tomorrow. One year later - after stopping for about a year, I got back to lifting weights two months ago. Thought I’d add some HIIT in but this is no longer my only workout but part of the various types of exercise I do now ❤
I'm still a fitness baby, so i scale some of the exercises down to my level and focus on doing them right (without falling over lol), rather than trying to keep up with the pace, but i just wanna say thank u for uploading these kinds of videos, they do help a lot even on my level, because i finally have fun moving my body
I loved the format of this workout with 30 secs work instead of 50! It’s fun to do more different exercises in 1 workout and have the feeling that you can make the 30 secs 😜

This was really hard for me and had to change some of the workouts with push ups but I am proud of myself and everyone else here that tried should be to!

Loved every second of it. The last Sean Paul song made me want to start dancing ! 💃😆She even makes a couple of old routines new with some added modifications. I LOVED the 30 seconds on with 10 seconds off. I kept up the whole time except for the last one, the lunge jumps of course 🤦♀️. But I'll keep up one day on those lunge jumps!.
I do this workout with no break except for the 50% mark then I take a minute break. When the 10 second break comes I just do the previous workout until the next one. It’s such a hard workout but it’s great to know my body can handle it.
I'm going to start doing these workouts! I love that there is no talking and no wasted time. Just vibing music and good workouts! Question...how often should I be doing these workouts? Every day, every other day? When I can? I want to stay consistent with it.
hi !! I feel like it really depends on the results you want from it. If you just want to stay in shape and stay active a bit, I’d say do it a few times a week. If you want obvious results though, I’d try to do it every other day, or every day. It really depends on your schedule or what results you want. I’m definitely not a big exercise freak though, so take this with a grain of salt 😭 sorry if this doesn’t help, but good luck !!
I am 68kg and my goal is to be 56kg. I am 173 cm tall and very self conscious about my weight and ready for this weight loss journey NOW! I would appreciate any motivation because I am very inconsistent :) Day1-✅ Day2-✅12 minutes because was running low in time 😅
OMG this was killer!! I had to stop the video like 5 times. But I'm so proud that I made it through. The sweat is literally dripping off of me. Also the first jumping hiit I've done in FOREVER because that shits scares me. This is a really effective workout.
This was so intense… those squats were so hard I died 50% through and had to stop, let my heart rate decrease and my legs recover so I could keep! I will try to do this workout without breaks in the future but that last minute kicked my ass

day 1 complete, skipped a few exercices but still burned 140 cals. thank you! day 2: burned 155 cals! managed to get through the whole workout with some modifications (pushups on knees, normal lunges without jump)

Starting this journey at day 3 For some context, I am a 16 yo female who is 6’ tall and let’s just say I’m underweight The first two days were really rough- so rough in fact, that I had no energy to do anything but lay on the floor curled up in a ball after and breathe but have hope, IT GETTS BETTER (or so I’m told 💀😭) I wish I could say day 3 was much different, but it’s not haha, I’m still floored after that Day 3: I will say I feel much stronger, and I can finally do a push-up!!! I haven’t ever been able to do one in my life so I’m celebrating 😁🎉 (still floored but I only had to take one break near the end!!) Day 4

10/01/22 it’s been hard. Getting in shape is more of a mindset for me. This year I hit the heaviest I’ve been. I gained over 25 pound- of my normal weight. But this year I’ve gained 30 pounds since January (when I lost weight). 😅well starting all over 😊😊😊 Todays workout was great 😌
I’ve been doing growingannanas Tabata/ hit workouts for 2 months now (maybe 2-3 times a week along with 1-2 days gym a week) and at the start I was literally dying. Would wait for the 20-30 seconds to end for every exercise 😂. Today for the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I can do the plank jacks + shoulder tap IN SYNC with each other 😂. I’m honestly so proud of myself lol. I can’t believe it. This week I can definitely see how much my strength has improved and I don’t die in pain waiting for each exercise to be over. So I just wanna say….YOU GUYS ALL GOT THIS! Don’t give up! And of course I want to say thank you for Anna for making me a stronger person. Love you ❤.

Haha exact same here, kept up the whole time except those dang lunge jumps at the end !! Had to modify to just regular alternating lunges.
same i just did lunges with kicks instead. still a challenge but not as high impact which is good when you can't bear the thought of jumping lol
Finishing with burpees and lunge jumps was pure evil!! Loved the workout ❤

I'm going to start doing these workouts! I love that there is no talking and no wasted time. Just vibing music and good workouts! Question...how often should I be doing these workouts? Every day, every other day? When I can? I want to stay consistent with it.
hi !! I feel like it really depends on the results you want from it. If you just want to stay in shape and stay active a bit, I’d say do it a few times a week. If you want obvious results though, I’d try to do it every other day, or every day. It really depends on your schedule or what results you want. I’m definitely not a big exercise freak though, so take this with a grain of salt 😭 sorry if this doesn’t help, but good luck !!

OMG this was killer!! I had to stop the video like 5 times. But I'm so proud that I made it through. The sweat is literally dripping off of me. Also the first jumping hiit I've done in FOREVER because that shits scares me. This is a really effective workout.

This was so intense… those squats were so hard I died 50% through and had to stop, let my heart rate decrease and my legs recover so I could keep! I will try to do this workout without breaks in the future but that last minute kicked my ass

Oh my lord I just finished my first day. It was so so challenging and close to the end I took a 7 minute break. It’s okay to take breaks. I know that I will continue getting better at this workout until I can do it with ease. Good luck and keep on going!

Great sweaty start to my Sunday morning. I'm asthmatic so have to take longer breaks but the sweat was definitely still real and I feel amazing now. Please do more 30 secs on and 10 sec rest. THANKYOU 💪❤️

For some context, I am a 16 yo female who is 6’ tall and let’s just say I’m underweight
The first two days were really rough- so rough in fact, that I had no energy to do anything but lay on the floor curled up in a ball after and breathe but have hope, IT GETTS BETTER (or so I’m told 💀😭)
I wish I could say day 3 was much different, but it’s not haha, I’m still floored after that
Day 3: I will say I feel much stronger, and I can finally do a push-up!!! I haven’t ever been able to do one in my life so I’m celebrating 😁🎉 (still floored but I only had to take one break near the end!!)

10/01/22 it’s been hard. Getting in shape is more of a mindset for me. This year I hit the heaviest I’ve been. I gained over 25 pound- of my normal weight. But this year I’ve gained 30 pounds since January (when I lost weight). 😅well starting all over 😊😊😊

I’ve been doing growingannanas Tabata/ hit workouts for 2 months now (maybe 2-3 times a week along with 1-2 days gym a week) and at the start I was literally dying. Would wait for the 20-30 seconds to end for every exercise 😂. Today for the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I can do the plank jacks + shoulder tap IN SYNC with each other 😂. I’m honestly so proud of myself lol. I can’t believe it. This week I can definitely see how much my strength has improved and I don’t die in pain waiting for each exercise to be over. So I just wanna say….YOU GUYS ALL GOT THIS! Don’t give up! And of course I want to say thank you for Anna for making me a stronger person. Love you ❤.

It’s making me so dizzy my 15 minutes into this work out and I think I have to stop and rest. I’m sure next time or in the future I’m able to finish it without having to take extra rest!
