    I really admire you Rae for making this video. I am sorry your having to go through this you really don't deserve it! I hope your new dosage will work for you and you get back to normal ASAP. Don't worry and stress about your upload schedule too much, just do what you can. It isn't worth risking your health over. Mainly the people asking for more content from you wouldn't of had any idea about your personal circumstances but now they do I am pretty sure everyone understands your reasoning for having less uploads. I really hope you start to feel better soon

    I'm crying right now. 😓😓😓 I'm so sorry for your health issues and hope they get your treatment and meds right for you and you feel better soon. We love you so much and I know what it's like to lose a sibling. I lost my only sister 13 years ago and some days, even now, I sit and just cry my eyes out and miss her so damn much. I also have health issues, anxiety and depression, severe anemia and arthritis in my knees, so I can really relate to a lot of your issues. You're not alone, sweet girl!
    Take care of yourself, ok? Those of us who love you will be here sending out prayers, positive thoughts and goid vibes for you. Don't worry about the videos. When you feel well enough to do a video, do a video. Otherwise, don't worry about it. Just focus on your health and wellbeing.
    Sending lots of love, hugs, and encouragement your way.

    I’m so sorry that you’ve been so sick and suffering so much. I completely understand! I was 15 when they discovered my thyroid problem, but it got so bad that they had to remove it when I was 18. The sheer level of fatigue and pain has been horrible. I have been taking my Synthroid to live, for 23 years. If you need any support or have any questions, please please message me. I’m Art By Ester A all over my social media, except Facebook. There is so much involved in the thyroid that effects your metabolism, hormones, and ovary function. It’s so hard to explain how much it affects your life, ability to function, and how it impacts every single aspect of your life. I’ve been sick with other medical conditions ever since they took my thyroid out. So I TOTALLY understand sweetheart. My channel, it’s so hard to upload and keep a normal persons schedule. I haven’t been physically able to upload for over 4 weeks now. Please, please know you are not alone. I felt so alone when this all happened to me and I really want to offer you my support. I’m here for you sweetie.

    • @ArtByEsterA
      @ArtByEsterA 6 лет назад

      P.s. there are some medications and vitamins that you cannot take with or near the Synthroid. Things like a multi-vitamin, vitamin c, and even stomach medicine for acid reflux. You can’t take them within 3-4 hours of taking the thyroid medication.
      It has taken years to acquire all this knowledge. And now that I live in NC, I don’t have a thyroid specialist anymore. So I too feel like no one cares or understands how severe the symptoms are. My pharmacy is the one who told me about the stomach medicine. So frustrating.

    Rae, if you need a break please take it, your health is more important than anything else right now, we understand what you're struggling with so please don't force yourself to do something that is not good for you right now...

  • @Tippel3
    @Tippel3 6 лет назад +9

    Hi Rae,
    I'm very sorry to hear that you have such a severe case!
    There's nothing to be ashamed off and it's one of the most common things where I live. People who have "just" hypothyroidism or they have it because it was the other way around and they've had a surgery to remove the thyroid gland or hashimoto... there are many options and reasons for it.
    But you'll get better, I promise! And many or most of the symptoms will dissapear or less severe.
    Yes, it can take time to figure out the right amount of hormones you need to take. Be aware that lastly your feeling is more important than any blood test results. As you said, there is a "normal range" and the specialist will bring your hormones in that range but where is the right level for you, can only be answered from one single person on this world: yourself!
    Take a break, just do what feels good and try to stay positive!
    *PS:
    My advice as a pharmacist:
    Make sure you take your medication correct! Failing here is the most common problem, that causes side effects, trouble to find the right dosage and how fast or slow the progress is. Because it makes a huge difference in that case and you'll still have very fluctuating blood levels with all of the problems, instead of a stable one, if you take them not correct.
    If you are treated with additional hormones (like L-Thyroxin...), make sure to take them every morning on an empty stomach and wait at least 45min until your breakfast or other drinks than water. That's the most important!
    If you are treated different, ask your physician and pharmacist for advice how to take the medication.

  • @salem4219
    @salem4219 6 лет назад +4

    In a few ways I know how you feel, my doctor had done blood tests on me months ago coming back to me with borderline hypothyroidism, and I have to keep getting checked to make sure my levels arent getting worse. I get mild symptoms but when its paired with a lot of my mental health issues it takes a lot out of me and I know how horrible it must feel for you, I hope they find you the right dosage and things start feeling better, and I for one think your health and well being takes priority over uploads, take care of yourself. We will always be here. :)

After many many tests getting hospitalized & receiving 5 liters of blood in 2 days I am doing so much better. You take care of yourself! Meds help for the most part, but even with medication I still experience extreme fatigue, foggy brain, pain, swelling, etc. I hope your med levels can get straightened out soon because once your thyroid levels get closer to normal you can feel so much better. Having your meds at the right levels, eating right, and drinking a lot of water really helps. Good luck with everything and I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

    Rae, I understand you. I only found your videos within the past few weeks, but I knew I found you for a reason. I'm honestly still going through testing to figure out what's going on with me too, but the fatigue is a common symptom. I know you feel bad mentally about the things you can't do physically, because I apologize to people every day for the same thing. I've blocked almost everyone out.. but your videos make me smile every time.
    also, I've got a highkey David Bowie obsession so I love your doggo.
    Love you, Rae. You've got this.

    Hey Rae! I've been dealing for two years now with neurological and gastrointestinal symptoms and just now I'm starting to get answers. I struggle with delayed stomach emptying and issues with heart rate possibly caused by an autoimmune disorder and I have very similar symptoms to yours. It gets me down that I can't draw because I'm drowning in homework. Don't worry about sticking to your uploading schedule, it is more important for you to get healthy! I know we'll both get through it, just keep your head up :)

    Rae, you are definitely not alone! I have low thyroid issues and PCOS. I understand when you say how horrible it can make you feel. My life became so stressful and confusing. I gained probably 50 pounds in a very short amount of time, but I wasn't eating in a way that would cause me to gain so much weight. I didn't understand why I was so stressed and extremely, extremely tired. I also have generalized anxiety and ADHD, so the increased anxiety and such made my life a mess. I would fall asleep in 15 minute car rides and I couldn't think at all. It was horrible and I will never forget how I felt. I can tell you, things will get better. I went to an endocrinologist and I have been on a low carb and low added sugar diet. I lost over 30 pounds and it has been about a year now. I have soooo much more energy, and I'm still on medication for it, but my life has completely turned around. You can do it Rae! We will always be here to support you! Take it from someone who has been there, it is really hard right now, but it will change. ❤

    I've only been following you for several months, but I feel like I've known you years. I'm only 53, but I've been battling chronic (&sometimes severe) arthritic pain for a number of years now and it's anything but fun. I know what it's like to have to keep changing medications & try lots of different treatments to find the right ones to give you relief. I'm also menopausal too so I fully get the moodiness and hormone issues. I do get exhausted too, but probably no where near the extent you do. I'm so sorry you aren't well. I send lots of prayers, kind thoughts and plenty of hugs to you and your family. I wish you well and have asked the Angels to watch over you and your family. I know this video was done 2 years ago, so I'm hoping you've recovered since then

    I'm so sorry that you are having to go through this! You definitely don't owe us an apology! You and your health should be the first thing you focus on! I've been a Type 1 Diabetic for the past 15 years and I have a lot of the same symptoms if things get out of wack. Hormonal disorders suck the most because they are different for every single person and it really is just a bunch of guess work until you find what works for you. It took us a month to get my proper insulin dosage/regime down and after I went through puberty and every time I have change my regime it was the same thing all over again.
    Thank you so much for letting us in on this! That's honestly the best thing you can do until everything on the medical end eases up. There's no need to add extra stresses to yourself! The best thing is to be 100% honest about everything to your doctors, and if you feel they aren't helping you the way you need to be helped, don't be afraid to find a new doctor! Again, you are your main priority! My mom (who has had Type 1 Diabetes for almost 34 years) recently went through 4 different endocrinologists before she found one she felt comfortable with!
    I love you so much girl! I hope everything starts working out soon!! Sending you all my love and prayers!!

    I just found out I have not only hypothyroidism but also Hashimotos.
    I understand Rae. I understand all too well and it is terrible. I even lost all of my hair. I went from hair down to my butt to bald. I am bald, tired as hell, and my internal organs operate at 10% less. It turns out to be more than thyroid…it’s the adrenal glands, leaky gut, and liver function is all affected. I feel you and you are in my thoughts Rae. ❤️

    Rae, thanks for sharing your private news with your fans. My son (in his 30's) and myself were both diagnosed with Hypothyroidism last fall, and suddenly it seems like everyone has it. I understand your fatigue and the brain drain and everything else, so know that you're not alone. One piece of good news is that once they get your medication at the right dosage, sometimes you will lose the weight you gained because of the thyroid issue. In my case, it's affected my appetite and I've lost 10 pounds in about 6 months. I hope you get that benefit too!

  • @Foxyshedevil

    Rae! I've been exactly where you are! I had graves disease, I was hyper active. I had radioactive iodine in 2011 to basically kill my thyroid. I've been hypo ever since and getting the right dosage has been an ordeal. They have me on synthroid, which helps but it's still not under control. The hypo thyroid messes with you mentally, big time! I've gotten so mentally exhausted, I ended up hospitalised. If you ever need to chat, feel free to pop me a message. I can relate.

    Please don’t feel bad or like you are letting anyone down. You have to take care of you first! I have chronic pain and completely understand not being able to do things you want to do. I am always having to cancel plans due to the pain. And depression comes with it as well unfortunately. When you have a chronic illness it is pretty much another symptom of it. It sucks and is not fair. Even tho I have delt with the chronic pain most of my life, it is still hard to accept. I will keep you in my prayers. Edit: just saw this was last year! Hope you are doing better!
