  • This Wera Zyklop set is a great starter set to get you many of the main pieces you need to build my favorite under sink plumbing tool, check out that video here: • My Favorite Sink Tool!... its an oldie but a goodie! The abilities of this tiny kit are huge! I keep one in my truck at all times. Eliminating a bunch of large nut drivers is a huge bonus as well!

    Little tip, when the head is locked straight, you can push the switch the other way and it operates the socket lock so you dont have to change the angle to release it.

    I've watched about 10 of these videos so far and can I say I appreciate how you took the time to learn how to use a tool before you made the video instead of figuring out how to use the tool while filming the video. Informative comprehensive well done

    "Might as well use a 10mm (socket) here…"
    And that was the last time that socket was seen, gone to join all left socks and other 10mm sockets in dryer-ville. :-)

    I like mine , I just bought the Ratchet as a bare tool , I made a consolidated kit with my two tool checks , saved some space by putting the metric sockets on a scrap piece of Snap 0n , put the possidrive , and metric hex in a bit block , I already had a shit metric ton of extensions ! All up , it’s lighter and more compact than a full set ! Bottom line , love the ratchet !

      Yup, the ratcheting screwdriver replaced most of my screwdrivers. Just put in my own 1 inch bits I use most and I’m good to go. I just carry another #2 square (most used) && a beater flat head

    with the extension, when i install a socket, is it locket too?

    • @MillisConstruction
      @MillisConstruction  2 года назад +1

      It depends on which extension you buy. I believe the one I linked below is the locking version. Wera does have both kinds available though so depending on which type you like

  • @AlongtheRiverLife
    @AlongtheRiverLife 3 года назад +4

    How rough, tightening can you get with this? Other than heavy torquing, I am asking just normal bolts, screws, etc that need good tightening.

    • @MillisConstruction
      @MillisConstruction  3 года назад +3

      It should do just fine, mine are normally involved in plumbing type uses, fixture installation etc. its just 1/4” ratchet though so I would assume you could push it beyond its capabilities. Wera makes some very nice 3/8” drives as well in this style for heavier work. Overall its a solid little ratchet, I think I have 3-4 of this model at this point. They’re just handy.

    I purchased the Wera 1/4" Zyklop (stand-alone tool) with the bit drive holder and extension. However, I'm quite surprised by the amount of play in a socket, the bit drive holder, and/or with/without the extension bar added. Is this normal? I've watched many RUclips demos on the Zyklop but see or hear no mention of it. Can anyone provide input/feedback on whether I might have received a defective tool or whether this is normal? In advance, thanks!

    • @MillisConstruction
      @MillisConstruction  2 года назад +2

      I don’t think an excessive amount should be normal at all. I wouldn’t say mine have no movement but it’s minimal and what I’d expect. I’d warranty it. I believe they’re lifetime on defects.

    • @stevewilkinson3467
      @stevewilkinson3467 2 года назад +2

      @@MillisConstruction Thanks. On further inspection, I don't feel much play in the Zyklops itself. It's when I attach the extension bar and/or bit socket when the play arrives. I'm suspecting that this may be by design? Again, thank you for the prompt response and superb RUclips videos!

    • @stevewilkinson3467
      @stevewilkinson3467 2 года назад +2

      Quick update. Got in contact with Wera Customer Support. They had me send them a video and have confirmed that the play is usual/standard behavior. For the little that I've used it so far, I'm in love with it. Thanks to you for making me aware of the Zyklops and just how handy it is.
