I love the Wera socket twist lock rail system. I have them in 1/4 & 3/8 and so far never have had a socket come loose.

I have that ratchet. It sees as much use as my gold plated icon ratchet. That’s right, it just sits in my tool box looking pretty :D

I bought this exact same set in 3/8 (metric) to use with my Milwaukee ratchet impact driver. They are great AND impact proof..... and you get the comfort ratchet and extension for free....

Love Wera tools. How do they hold up for automotive use?

I’m holding off on buying a Wera tool check until they incorporate the twist lock for the sockets. Any idea when they will do this?

I’ve got Wera tool check that I added additional sockets to (all metric) no skips, added an Ames small swivel 1/4” ratchet (strapped to opposite side as the screw driver handle, and then I put in a very small semi-soft tool pouch with a 1/4” MAC ratchet, a pair of small channel locks (Irwin) and a small adjustable wrench. I’ve also got several other Wera tools, but I’m having a hard to figuring out what is so special about that ratchet. Looks extremely large and bulky. All for cold weather?

It’s weird to call it “Vera”, that’s like switching to speaking with a German accent for one word. Yea that’s how Germans say it, but that’s because they pronounce w’s as v’s, in English we don’t, so I’ll keep saying Wera.

For an analogy, it would be like a German speaking German and pronouncing “Williams tools”. He’s going to say “Villiams tools” because that’s how they pronounce w’s. If he was speaking German and pronounced the w as an English w, it would be a little weird.
