I made this recently and it was so delicious! Even my dad ate it! And he's one of those people who tends to eat only Indian food that my mom makes at home. Imagine my surprise when he asked me to set a separate set of kimchi, Gim, the squid sidedish, soybean side dish, and kimchi soup for him. Your recipes have helped me introduce my dad to new food that he never would have ate before! So you know your recipes are good when even my dad wants to try it lol!

While I was living in Ireland a Korean friend gave me this side dish and I Loved it. She told me the name in Korean but couldnt say in English what it was. Some mohts ago I was very surprised to know that it was dryed squid. wonderful side dish. I´ll look for dryed squid here in Brazil and try to make this recipe. Thanks for sharing it.

Spinach should be eaten in 1 or 2 days because it goes bad easily even in the fridge. And anchovies and seasoned squid last long. You can keep it in the fridge up to 1 month.
Imade this for the first time today and am so happy with it! I was a little worried about how much dried squid came in my package, but now I know I'll eat it all :) The only difficult part was that I had a bag of dried squid pieces, so I had to shred it myself. My thumb and forefingers hurt a bit but it was a labour of love :P Next time I'll see if I can find pre-shredded squid and this will be so easy and delicious.

Maangchi, can you please make a vegetarian version of this? This is my favorite side dish but I just don't want to eat the cute cuttlefish anymore haha. I don't think anything could replicate the delicious cuttlefish taste but if anyone can make a good substitute, it is definitely you, Maangchi.
