The Doors-' Ray at CBGB's'

In the heart of the Bowery, where legends were born,
Stood CBGB, a club weathered and worn.
Punk’s epicenter, where rebellion took flight,
Every night was electric, the future so bright.
Amidst the graffiti and the raw, pounding sound,
X marked the spot, where true punk was found.
Ray Manzarek, with vision and flair,
Produced their albums, with talent so rare.
The stage was a sanctuary for those who dared,
The sounds of guitars, in the night air ensnared.
With beats that were raw, and voices so bold,
Stories of punk, in the annals of rock, told.
From coast to coast, the message was clear,
In CBGB’s walls, you could always hear:
Punk is a movement, a voice for the unheard,
In every strum, every song, every word.
So here’s to CBGB, and the legends it spawned,
To the band that rose, with a spirit undaunted.
With Ray at the helm, their sound did ignite,
A punk revolution, burning bright in the night.

I remember when Ray produced X way back when. I wasn't much of a punk fan at the time, but I did develop a liking for it later on. This video just reminded me that I need to explore X's music some more. Thanks for posting this one, I really enjoyed it. 👍👍👍

I saw Blondie play in Interlochen a few years ago, Debbie is doing pretty good for a girl born in 1945. I consider Clem Burke to be one of the best drummers in the business.
