My first show! I actually was in the pic of Roger on the cover of MRR - I was standing in a chair next to the speaker next to the stage. My stupid LI faux-hawk 😂
@@hankgege2199 If that is so then the footage of Joey drumming from 5:24 and on is from another concert? Would be possible Joey and Louie both are in the video as there as another guitarist on stage as in the interview as well in parts of the footage, it seems...
@@MrOkkie5 yes it had to be. Because I saw another video on you tube of the same show which had more footage and Roger introduces the drummer as Louie Beatto. Also the live footage has Alex Kinon as lead guitar and in the interview it's Gordon who replaced Alex. So I'm thinking this interview was probably done maybe some months after this show.
Meanwhile on the west coast.....I had just turned 15 two months earlier. Surfing my brains out, chicks and these guys were on my top 5 list on cassette.
Kabula setting vinnie straight on his statement about being ghetto.....that’s funny as shit. Kabula had the right to say that. He was pure street for sure
Live at cbgb's got me into Agnostic Front. Timeless music that transcends genres. Its hardcore, its punk, its oi, its metal, and its influences and effects are far reaching.
@@kookadams85 if you listen to their early stuff its hardcore. That's how they started out. The thrashy stuff didn't come until the cause for alarm lp(3rd record). Been listening to them since the 80's. I know what hardcore punk is. I wouldn't consider fear or black flag or angry samoans hardcore. More like hardcore punk. Whereas stuff like jerry's kids, minor threat, necros, and negative approach i would say is actual hardcore.
That record came out after biohazard and early madball if I remember ( I’m old my mind is hazy). They are the original bands for that sound. Hardcore and hip hop
Watch the interview starting 14:30. Rob Kabula is the only honest guy when it comes to NYHC: it's asuburban american middle class thing. Vinnie and Roger are ridiculous hypocrites: how true you are to the music, c'mon!
A beautiful place 🤣😂🤣🤣 , maybe most people don’t image what’s lower east side looks in 80’ , it was dirty , dark , abandoned , all buildings were old like a shit , it was like a war zone .
Nah I'm just talkin out my ass. Agnostic Front and Hatebreed don't sound the same and they're both fine. They can play whatever or however they want, I don't know what I'm talkin about.
No offence, but that comment is a little difficult to take seriously from a guy with a video on his channel called "Cattle Rasslin' Mini Challenge." CFA is their biggest selling record, too.
Keep strong Roger we need you Brother !!!!!!! 💪
Agnostic front es un cross a la mandíbula!! N.Y.H.C. y Buenos Aires Hardcore, grandes movimientos que influenciaron en mi vida...para siempre!!
I was at that show! I always got stabbed by Troys nails on his jacket. Agnostic Front best hardcore band Ever! Thankyou and CBGBS for the memories!
I was there too! Same thing, bloody hands the whole show.
I would kill to go to a CBGBS show. FUCK

Great hearing bomber z live. That song was largely missing from their live set over the years. Damn good song.
Seemed like everyone was smoking angel dust for a year or so...
1985=The year crossover was in charge
True
Al Sharpton inspired Public Assistance, the line about gold chains is about him during Twanna Brawley.
Grew up in NJersey with hardcore. Seems like an honest interview with boys from LI. But w a point . God bless. 2022.
Legend hardcore 🤟🤘😎👊🥁🎤🎸👏👍🇧🇷🔊🎶🎵🍺
That's my friend Joey the Fish on drums! 5.15. Classic... What a man. I miss him.
Do you know how he died? I miss him, too. He sounded great with AF and GBH.
Joey was my roomate for a year in Brooklyn. He was one of a kind, no doubt!
It's Louie Beatto on drums for the live footage. The interview is with Joe

"Existence of Hate" is a criminally underrated song. Raging thrash, existential lyrics. P.S. I love Kabula.
Cause for Alarm and Retaliation by Carnivore are the best HC albums ever guess who were on it I was just writing this down before I scrolled down lol
I tolerate HATEBREED, but AF are the GODFATHERS of the NYHC sound and will forever be the catalyst that all other bands of that genre aspire to !
Bad Brains was the one that influences everybody right?
Bad brains!!!

Was Bl'ast on your list?
D.r.i.?
Great vid. I've always felt like I'm the only AF fan who fucking loves the shit out of Cause For Alarm and doesn't care for Victim In Pain at all.
Peter Steele wrote a many of the tunes - including this track. Louie Beato played all the drum tracks on Cause For Alarm.
Amazing
I had this on VHS...
set list
used to wear my cause for alarm shirt like every day in high school. Wonder whatever happened to that shirt
Amazing stuff!
i heard Pete Steele RIP wrote the whole Cause For Alarm album
No, just lyrics for a couple songs. Lou Beats played on the whole album though.
Apparently AF and Carnivore shared a practice space
What happened to Joe? He was a great guy and a hell of a drummer. I loved the CFA album and saw them the nights in a row with GBH on that tour.
He died, in the mid nineties while he was playing in GBH, ironically. I don't know how.
KickAss !!
This is when they got 2nd guitars and started playing bc rich and jacksons like the metal guys
Fucking awesome 😅
