Thanks for this! I'm 50 and from Canton, Ohio. I never thought anyone would cover this one. But I always like any video you put out about anything we Generation X'er liked back then! And it's good to see you worked your way around the Warner Brothers issue. Cheers!
The ONE thing that drives me nuts about this movie is Kenny the metalhead getting a makeover. An absolute TRAGEDY! This has become one of my favorite channels, so thank you!
One of my favorite 90s movies. Still watch it til this day. Great locations finds. I lived down the street from the Canyon Plaza where the Chuck E Cheese and used to go there as a kid. Keep the great memories and videos Kurt!
Awesome, great video! Watched this at the theater on one of my first dates when I was a junior in highschool. Crazy how long ago this was. It's always been one of my favorites from that time. I remember buying the soundtrack way back then.
Nice video, always liked that movie(Christina Applegate🔥) Also love the shirt, being from the Bay I used to always bump that album. $hort was really starting to incorporate more Parliment into his beats at that time 🤘🏼👍🏼
Her boss's sleazy boyfriend played by John Getz is also "Maxwell Potterdam III" from Men At Work that you also did a location video for recently. Great comedic antagonist actor. 🤘
Awesome video my friend..do not ever let the WB get you down.maybe there jealous of your 80s vibe my dude.keep up the great work man. its appreciated.. take care.😁
This movie lives rent free in my memory box ❤. Loved this along with Drop Dead Fred , Breakin 1&2 , Hairspray , Home Alone 1&2 , and lastly The Last Dragon
That's the opening track of Suicidal Tendencies' 1990 album "Lights...Camera...Revolution". Now it's in my head and I have to go listen to it before I watch this video or it'll keep looping and distract me. It's not a bad thing, I like that song, it's very inspirational and uplifting.
That actor (Keith Coogan) is actually the grandson of legendary actor Jackie Coogan, 'Uncle Fester' from the Addams Family, and as the kid in Charlie Chaplin's 1921 film 'The Kid.'
@@Ifoughtpiranhaswhoa! Jackie “please don’t kill my dog” Coogan! (That’s the name of his biography. It’s a great read if you ever have the opportunity…)
@@hatednyc If you Google "the murder of Brooke Hart" you can read about a macabre incident in 1933 that Jackie Coogan took part in at the San Jose City Jail.
Amazing kurt as always, sometimes things don't work out when filming locations but you always do your best which is amazing. Look forward to the next one
I still remember seeing this movie when it first came out. I was probably about 8 years old and my sister was 14. My mom took us out to see it at our local drive in theater. It was actually double feature night and this movie was the opening. The main feature movie if you’re wondering …. Robin Hood with Kevin Costner
Insert shot in car while flipping the u-turn was filmed on Temescal by the PCH, and a small park/playground on the side of Temescal was used for the grave site for the babysitter at the end credits. This is right near Palisades High School.
I love this movie since a kid I watch it every year. I met Keith Coogan Kenny at Seattle comicon ECCC he was Awesome. I walk up and say Kenny Crandell the dishes are done😂 Got his autograph and pics so rad😂🤘Keith sad it was so hot in the house that summer they were dieing it had ac but during filming all day it couldn't run because of the sound. And the dirty kitchen was for real he said it stunk bad👍
Dang. I went to a lot of the locations for personal fun on OOB because it's one of my all time favs. Back then, putting film locations on YT wasn't a thing so I didn't film it. I still have my souvenir plate from "The Beanery" though!
Another great video, I love these and your presentation is awesome. On a side note, how gorgeous was Christina Applegate? I had a huge crush on her back then.
Not officially but it's out there. I created a custom blu-ray cover for it too with the original movie artwork and in the same style as a Warner Bros. blu-ray cover.
It’s become a bit of a ritual now for me to watch ‘Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead’ once a year, every year normally with a KFC meal. 🍗 Great movie and a great locations video! 👍🏼
“You can see where Kenny did the dishes.” 😂😂😂😂😂
The dishes are done, dude!😂
DRAGGING THE LINE!!🎶🎵🎶🎵

I remember this being on HBO in the summertime all the time
Yes, ALL the time.
Your filming locations are top notch.
We have to be darn close to the same age my dude. You are literally helping me relive the good old days. I was born in 77
Kurt is a few years younger than you, old man.
My britdahy's in May. Now get off my lawn.
Just watched this again the other day. One of my favorites growing up. Christina Applegate is🥵🥵🥵🔥🔥🔥. My childhood crush lol.
she sure WAS.
It’s still good to see that some of these locations are still recognizable after 30+ years
Awesome, great video! Watched this at the theater on one of my first dates when I was a junior in highschool. Crazy how long ago this was. It's always been one of my favorites from that time. I remember buying the soundtrack way back then.
“Park it yourself Metallica breath”😂😂 Great locations!!
"YO Maddog" 😂😂
My favorite line 😂😂😂
Yet another Cult Classic that didn’t deserve the modern remake treatment.
Exactly😩
I hate most remakes and I knew it was inevitable that they were going to remake one of my favorite classic movies from my child hood.
This is one of my favorite movies. Thank you so much for covering it. I love your channel!!!

My wife loves this movie. Thank you.
One of the best channels on RUclips.
Best regards from Germany.
Straight up excellent video and worth every cent it would have made had RUclips not been so damned obstructive.
That was worth the wait. I saw that movie in the theater and haven't seen it since. Excellent filming locations as always!
Another instant classic Kurt, well done
Dude, your videos are so Rad. That is my fav $hort album too.

Great movie and you did a wonderful job on this.

Kurt told Warner Bros. "You can't bring me down"

One of my favorite movies. I really loved the house. Had no idea it was in Santa Clarita.
Dishes are done man … great video thanks Kurt
Keith Coogan vanished after this movie. What a shame.
I needed this, Kurt. Let’s go!
Loved seeing all these filming locations. Thanks for bringing back all the 80's and 90's classics. Love your filming locations.

The little boy walter was in other epic movies as a child-actor, the leprechaun, Mr. Nanny, and rookie of the year.
Amazing kurt as always, sometimes things don't work out when filming locations but you always do your best which is amazing. Look forward to the next one

Kurt to be fair the commute from Santa Clarita to DTLA is pretty bad. Maybe that’s why she woke up at 5:30 😅
Ooh, forgot about this film. Thanks!
Nice Video Kurt! And thats a dope tshirt too👍
This movie needs a short sequel about her getting her fashion job back after College.
Thanks for this! Dig your vids!
I’m pretty sure that tower seen at 7:32 is the same one from the opening shot of the Green Day “when I come around” video. Maybe not, actually.
Thank you for this!
Loved this! Well done 👏👏👏👏

This was so freaking cool!!
This was really cool. Thank you for your efforts. You should do "The Wonder Years" TV program. The 80's one.
Love your videos. Not sure if you were a fan but would love to see an 'Eddie and the Cruisers' filming location video!
That Too Short shirt is epic!
Dishes are done man😂😂😂😂one of my favorite movies
That's exactly how I remember Aardvarks when grunge and rave fashion was in off Melrose in the 90s.
awesome kurt, love this movie:) one day coud you do one for 1986 out of bounds?
Dang. I went to a lot of the locations for personal fun on OOB because it's one of my all time favs. Back then, putting film locations on YT wasn't a thing so I didn't film it. I still have my souvenir plate from "The Beanery" though!
i use too live down that chuckie cheese back in 89-94 in north hollywood on 7750 laurel cyn
Another masterpiece from Kurt.
So sad that these iconic places like Clown Dog and All American Burger have been replaced by just another Franchise like Chipotle.
I remember when that film came out, I’ve never seen it since but I remember liking it
Awesome video !!
I loved that movie, even though the plot was so unrealistic.
Man oh man I love this movie! I still watch to this day, I still remember watching this as kid with my siblings on HBO, living in a ghetto apartment
that park sign is amazing lol
Great stuff as always
Dude your the coolest
Keep on rocking
Thanks for doing what you do
Awesome!
The big tree is still there. Nice!
holy mole i think i used to go to that chuckecheese as a kid. there was that kay bee toy store there too. its off laurel canyon
I think you can see the ocean in the background at 5:41. Reminds me of Temescal Canyon.
Walter gets the home theater and watches Julia Child and Pictionary
I've never heard of this movie, but it's a great video. Always entertaining.
Another great video, I love these and your presentation is awesome. On a side note, how gorgeous was Christina Applegate? I had a huge crush on her back then.
So cool the house still there
I'm glad you finally got this uploaded. One of my favorites. It was well worth the hate. I'm sharing it on my Facebook page.
Another great video. 👌😊
It's a travesty that this movie has STILL not received a Blu-ray release.
Not officially but it's out there. I created a custom blu-ray cover for it too with the original movie artwork and in the same style as a Warner Bros. blu-ray cover.
good work
6:04 I miss the days when they put whole slices of pepperoni on Mama Celeste pizzas. Now it's faintly scattered bits with hardly any cheese!
"believe it or not the Subway is still here"... wow.
I'd eat there just for the nostalgia
It’s become a bit of a ritual now for me to watch ‘Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead’ once a year, every year normally with a KFC meal. 🍗
Great movie and a great locations video! 👍🏼
Well done, sir.
I don't like how they made a remake of this movie.
The original can't be touched!
The dishes are done MANNNN!!!!😂😂
Good 80's flick!
