Party animal Rick Gassko, who makes his living as a Catholic-school bus driver, decides to settle down and marry his girlfriend, Debbie Thompson. After learning the news of the engagement, Rick's shocked friends, led by Jay, decide to throw him an epic bachelor party. The bride's wealthy, conservative parents are unhappy with her decision, and her father enlists the help of Debbie's ex-boyfriend Cole to sabotage her relationship with Rick and win her back.
The idea for the film came from an actual bachelor party thrown by producer Ron Moler and a group of friends for fellow producer Bob Israel. Several members of the film's cast and crew were at that party when the idea began to take shape.
The film was made in the wake of the success of Police Academy.
/nicely!!!!!!!!!!☺☺☺☺
Great one again bro
Great movie. Nice job Kurt!
I’ve never heard of this movie but it looks like a good time! 😂
Holy Smokes! 40 years!! I was only 16!! Saw this with my cousins down in Mission Valley Mall here in San Diego! Great move and great times!
Holy smokes you’re almost 60 😳 it’s crazy to think all of these actors are in their late 60s early 70s now.
Found this Movie on DVD for a good price so I bought it.
"Sister, ....you look wonderful today! You've done something different with your hair." LOL

I can still hear my grandma complaining to my grandpa, "dont watch that with your grandson, there's boobies all over the place"
Hahaha, it's so awesome that you know about this film. Many don't. This was a classic.

From one 80s kid to another, I thank you again for making my days here on the East Coast bright no matter how my work day is going. Your time and passion you invest in your work I appreciate greatly.
Hey from England 🏴. Always love these film location vids.
Vielen Dank Kurt für all diese Location-Videos. Einerseits ist es schön, "bekannte" Locations wiederzusehen, andererseits macht es traurig, die Veränderungen zu akzeptieren. Das ist leider der Lauf der Zeit. Mach weiter so. Beste Grüße aus Deutschland.
Another great video!
That was incredible
Greatjob as always !!!
KURT ,, GREAT VIDEO!! ONCE AGAIN... THX.
My head spins just thinking about how much work is involved with these videos-identifying the locations in the movie, driving and finding the locations to match up the shots, the narration and the editing. THANK YOU for these trips down memory lane!
You do a great job🤙 I forgot all about this movie,, freaking hilarious 🤣
Thanks for doing this. I grew up in Simi Valley and it was so cool to see it on Bachelor party. That Home Goods is the actual building the Mann's 6 Theaters was in, it has just been renovated extensively. Imagine watching Bachelor Party at that theater. It's nostalgic seeing all those old 80's businesses there. I grew up just west of there where Cochran and Erringer cross and although I live out of state now, my brother lives just north of there, The Poltergeist house isn't too far from there either. In the townhouse you gesture to across the street, a friend of mine actually lives in that unit. Upper floor, corner of Cochran and Galena.
I LOVE this movie. Another great video. I thought the wedding might have been filmed at Pepperdine in Malibu.
2:44 funny that you can also see the 4 trees that were behind the wooden fence, now a brick wall, now much taller.
Just you are defo my favourite channel on RUclips.
Love the location videos. LA and the SF valley.
And dude. How the hell did you manage to spot the background in the SF valley straight after the first scene!
That is insane!! But mightily impressive!
Thanks Kurt one of my favourite 80s movies. You are making me feel old now.
This is one of the funniest movies ever..😂😂😂😂😎👍👍👍👍
This channel is so special to a lot of us that loved watching California movies. I now live out here and love it. This Vector Hold California Gold track is great.
A forgotten classic. Saw it in the theatre. I like how Adrian Smed really got into the photoshoot. 😉
80's The Magic Era👏👏👏❤️
Can't say I remember watching this but didn't realize Cole played Kent oi another movie! It's pretty funny the guy in the bed of the truck kept placing the cones while Cole was driving. Thanks again for another wonderful filming locations video! The best.
Thank you Kurt. Another great vlog. Have a great Fourth of July everyone. 🇺🇸
Peckerhead was such a great character. Turns out he became a counselor.
One of my favorite channels!!! Love to go back to the 80’s in your videos…
Excellent research work.
This is a classic thanks for covering it 👍
Jean Smart: "Ok gentlemen, your prayers have been answered...Banzai!"

Brother what a GREAT VIDEO you made, this is such a great movie that alot of people haven't even seen.
The car... Debbie...
Many 40th anniversary movies throughout this year. 🥳
‘84 and ‘94 were both particularly good years for movies. 🍿
A classic..Thanks for posting this
I grew up going to the Mann “6” theaters right there, that was the Farmers insurance building across the street, Simi Valleys tallest building haha
Great video, love your locations content. How much time do you put doing the research before each video? Some of these places must take a lot of time. A lot of info online to go through and check google street view? Anyway keep it up! 👏
The timeline is correct. I was 14. Had to watch this on cable HBO at the time. One of the all time, never forget movies in my life. OH Tawny Kitaen!! A teenage boys dream girl! I still see her as she was. What a beauty. So sad she's no longer with us... Anyway, great time looking back on this gem, thanks for this walk into the archives. Big fan of your content. You and I are the same gen. Vintage 1970 here. Gen X'rs forever!
How many miles was driven just matching up the shots?
As usual, another excellent episode.
RIP tawny kitaen loved her in this movie
"Rudy's in the lobby enjoying chocolate bars..."😂
Bachelor Party came out the day I was born… I first saw it when I was 12 and my mom got it clearance on VHS when a Hills was going out of business. I’ve probably seen it a hundred times and it’s still hilarious. Happy 40th to Bachelor Party and to me 🎉
One of the funniest movies EVER.
I'm surprised you didn't show the scene with the guy's ding dong in the hot dog bun on the platter. That was the funniest scene. 🤣
9:16 I don't know why but I always laugh my ass off at that part. GUYS! GUYS! GUYS! GUUUUUUYS!
This movie, Witchboard and Whitesnake videos had me desperately in love with Tawny Kitaen.
Great video. Why are some of these classics so hard to find on streaming services??
lol I saw this movie as a 9 year old at the movies… my uncle would take us every Sunday to the Hoboken twin in Hoboken NJ… we saw porkys 3, the last dragon, night of the comet and splash I remember….
I watched this movie way back probably when i wasn’t supposed to,in still to this day one of the funniest movies i have ever seen.
Rewatch!
Thank you for doing these. I'm loving all of your location videos
Went to that Manns theater many times in the 90s and early 2000s, good times
Awesome vid for one of my favorite movies! One correction I know is that the wall that the bus crashed into the theater (Mann 6 Simi Valley) was located on the eastern most exit and parking area for the theater. The front of the building you had shown and indicated as the crash point was the waiting area for crowds to enter the theater and had posters for movies across the wall. The other business on that wall also existed at the time and were a newsstand, candy shop, optometrist and baskin robins. I saw all of the best 80’s and 90’s movies at that very same theater!
One of the earliest movies I remember seeing. I was entirely too young to have seen it, but I got my hands on it somehow
This was a Classic 😂
Reminds of watching this at the late great Winnetka Drive-in with my friends waaaay back in the day! Great video, Kurt!
This is one of my favorite movie's of the 80's I enjoyed whole cast in the movie I have it on dvd and iam going to watch soon , so as Rudy said lay that pipe rick !!!
I was born in 75…..a lot has changed but I had a blast growing up at that time🤩
Love your videos man I’m from Ireland love the 80s
Yah know, there's a great moon out tonight.
"You're a pimp? You look like Gandhi"
By some weird chance of fate, I became internet friends with Tawny Kitaen she was always incredibly nice and kind to me.
I miss her every day.
Kurt great video brother i had the opportunity to work with Tawny Kitaen at a con here where i live very very nice lady
I really love this movie and I own the DVD
“Why do good girls like bad boys” 🎶
Epic work as always Kurt! Does anyone remember Surf Ninjas
Negative on that one
Just wanted to say that your music is getting better! 😊
Legendary movie haven't seen it in awhile gotta find it again
I was told that building was turned into a Delhotdog!
Tom Hanks’s greatest role.
Love this movie!
Great movie love the mecanic , doctor too srsrse lol
Bachelor Party was the video Monk rented for Leland Stottlemeyer’s Bachelor Party on Monk “Mr. Monk Is the Best Man”. He also got 1 six pack for six grown men, and a pizza only with tomato sauce.
What did you say Stanley? NO HOOKERS!
Craving a Macho Combo Burrito now.
A foot's length of great location finds...and then some.
A friend told me that not only did he see Bachelor Party in that same Mann Theater in Simi Valley, (Mann 6, not 36), but was in the same screening room where the 3-D fight took place.
The fight scene was probably filmed on a sound stage, but the interior of the movie house is real.
He said that he was stunned to see the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, only to see the Farmer’s Insurance building immediately after. The audience thought Tom Hanks was going to burst through the door.
An unintentional meta moment, all the way from the 80s.
