I love, love, LOVE that sooo much of the locations are as they were. Untouched. Classic 80s. Damn I miss the 80s soo much. What I time to have lived and remember.
I remember watching Once Bitten on showtime as a kid in the 80’s. When the show In Living Color came out and saw Jim Carrey I thought to myself that looks like the guy from Once Bitten lol
Great movie, great video. An 80's classic. I always wondered why it took so long for Carey to become a success after that one. What a trip down memory lane. Thanks for that.
Just found your channel tonight and I love once bitten nobody takes the time to bother with this movie but then I saw you did back to the beach one of my favorites so I subscribed I've been watching you videos for a couple of hours now and your detail and finding locations that nobody would care about is awsome. I was shocked to see only 30000 subs you're gonna blow up soon keep up the good work
Hey, thank you so much! That really means a lot to me. The Channel is growing little by little. I'm just gonna keep pumping out these videos for the love of the 80s! thank you again.
I am so happy there are others out there who find this stuff as fascinating as I do. I'll take my wife to a location where a movie was shot or some historic even happened and she could not care less.
Great work Kurt and the brother from Venice for finding all this, made me think of films like "Love at first bite" really cool how you have video of your adolescence man IO pictured myself at that age and damn cried at how old we are lol thanks Kurt-Heath
great video, man! i have another location for you: i was born and raised in eagle rock, and in 1985 i was 9 years old playing little league at Eagle Rock Recreation Center when after my game me and my brother noticed they were prepping for a big film shoot in the famed Richard Neutra designed gymnasium (north side of the park off of Hill Drive, next to Figueroa and the actual 'Eagle Rock' you can see from the 134 freeway) and check this out, we asked a film crew member 'what are you filming'? and he said 'a vampire movie, kids...actually there's the star right there, hey Jim come over here" .....i swear on my mother's grave this happened....Jim comes up to me and my brother dressed all in black, he had been walking back to his trailer or to the inside of the gym (which they allowed me and my brother to peek into from the door, the stage had all the band gear already set up for the 'HANDS OFF' song, the place was just decked the F out with balloons and streamers and confetti everywhere but the gym was EMPTY of people, i think they'd already done lighting checks and all and possibly were going to shoot with the extras later that day or the next) ...me and my brother still in baseball uniform clowned Jim immediately and said 'you're not the STAR of this movie!' because we just innately assumed the crew dude was joking around, and being eagle rock residents me and my brother already at such a young age saw so much stuff filmed there (teen wolf, a made for tv movie where mark harmon played ted bundy lol, etc etc) and i'll never forget Jim's playful insistence on telling us yes, in fact he is the star of this movie, he shook our hands and smiled and we smiled back and walked away thinking to ourselves, man, they really think they can joke us smart kids around...we thought nothing of it until years after it came out (our parents wouldnt let us see 'risque' movies at the theater) when they'd play it EVERY SINGLE HOUR on HBO lol.. great channel, man, sorry for the rant! ha! happy holidays!
I'm glad you did this one, James is my all time favourite actor, i still have the film on vhs and dvd. You got a new sub.you was a old skater like me too ;)
Happy to see another video from you. I didn’t know about this movie until a few years back. I thought it was fun and entertaining although I wouldn’t watch it again. Not really into Vampire related things. I always knew Jim Carrey from In Living Color and Ace Ventura.
Great movie also underrated starring the legendary Lauren Hutton and Clevon Little and also one of Jim Carey’s first role. Great research as usual Kurt!
The clothing store that Robin works at reminds me of the clothing store where Debbie (Tawny Kitaen) works at in The 80s movie Bachelor Party!!! Looks like a similar set up.
Did you change to show the real footage first and then movie? I like it better now because it’s easier to spot it in the movie. Your content is super as always and with great commentary. If I ever get to LA I’d love to say hi. Best regards Daniel, Sweden.
I hadn't even heard about this movie, until I saw your video! will check it this week, looks funny. Scream Factory, released it on Bluray, 80's films on Bluray are fantastic to see in 4K or HD. He was great in the Sonic The Hedgehog movie, there is a part 2 coming out in 2022.
I love this movie! Cute vid of you as a kid! LOL why the hate!?? It's cheesy as hell, just how it should be!👍😀 Beautiful house!!!!💕 Thanks for remembering this 80's classic and Jim Carrey in his early role!
Fantastic overview I give you a 12 out of 10, thoroughly enjoyed this and it brought back some fond memories, I wish we could go back to the 80s, at least for these things, hey and I enjoyed the movie, it was fun and wasn't filled with dysfunction and such... hey here's another suggestion I didn't see it but for the first time a couple days ago on cable, what about that 1997 movie Boogie Nights, that would be interesting for the locations.... anyway keep these videos coming we all enjoy them
Hey, thank you so much. I really appreciate. I'll definitely get to Boogie nights. I showed a few of the locations in one of my Valley videos, but I'll do a proper video.
Great video, Kurt! Love these filming location videos on lesser known films from the 80s. Out of curiosity, where was the nightclub scene filmed? Or was it a set?
Absolutely brilliant, I may have seen this film once but I can't remember if I'm completely honest. So I can't relate to the locations, but as always you done a fantastic job. Il have to look for this film online and give it a watch again. Looking forward to the next one 😃
Fun Fact. Jim Carrey's first movie part was in the Cint Eastwood film Pink Cadillac playing a stand up comic. Filmed here in Reno(Sparks) at the lounge in John Ascauga's Nugget Casino
@@80sLife A scene where the boys walk into the video store. It'll be behind them. And on the other hand, I've seen Once Bitten, several times, but never noticed Fright Night playin' at the theater!
